I love Hobby Lobby and I've always had good interactions with all of the staff there but today I…read morehad such a terrible experience. I got what I needed to and proceeded to check out. It was quite busy as people were shopping for Christmas decor. I only had a couple things and I had to exchange hot glue gun sticks from one size to another that my husband had purchased and discarded the receipt. My item I was exchanging was $4.99 and unopened. The size I needed was also $4.99. I grabbed it and went to the check out line. As I got there, I asked the young lady if she could do an even exchange and she kindly told me that there was another lane for that and she had never been trained on exchanges but said kindly said she would ask for me. She called her manager over and the manager was beyond rude. She said I was in the wrong lane and since I didn't have a receipt she was unable to do a return but she was going to do it "just this once" and said next time to keep a receipt. She didn't once look me in the eyes and brushed me off. I didn't want a return or my money back, I simply just wanted an exchange for the same priced item. I apologized to the cashier who was checking me out and she was kind. It unfortunate because the cashier was sweet and helpful but the manager was unkind, unprofessional and honestly just rude. I understand a policy but you can articulate in a kind manner. Further, when I got to my car, I looked up the Hobby Lobby return and exchanged policy and you CAN exchange an item of the same price as long as it is unopened (mine was) and it's within 90 days (mine was). Being kind to customers shouldn't be difficult to do when you work in customer service and nobody was being combative or unkind to you.

I recently bought a bra at GMD Store at Moreno Valley location for someone. Since there aren't any…read morefitting rooms, the person I bought it for couldn't try it on. At checkout, I was told there was a 14-day return or exchange policy; the bra was the only thing purchased. When I came back to exchange it for a different size, I was then told by the store manager that bras aren't included in that policy. I relied on what I was told at the register, so it was disappointing to hear something different afterward. I understand it may be printed on the receipt, but by then the purchase has already been made. Please make sure your cashiers are giving accurate information so this doesn't happen to other customers. I ended up leaving the bra at the counter since it couldn't be used by person who it was intended for. Nothing against the store, I do enjoy shopping there, and will continue to do so, but this experience was frustrating and disappointing.

Christmas decor galore!…read more I went into Kirkland's for the first time while shopping and I'm so glad I went to check it out. Once I was inside, all I could think about was, "Why didn't I come here sooner?" Not only did they have a lot of cozy Christmas decor but they also had some everyday items. From home and kitchen decor, and even stuff for your bedroom(s) and bathroom(s). They even sold furniture and lighting fixtures. But I'd say more than half of the store was Christmas-related. Think: Pier 1 Imports. The workers were all busy but helpful. A young man helped me look at something from one of the top shelves. Overall, I came out with more stuff than I needed - at a fraction of the cost! I'll be back again to check out more everyday items after the holidays.
