Target has always been my go to store. Unfortunately during my visit today I was a bit disappointed at the empty shelves. 80% of the items on my list were not available. This Target is honestly the worst one I've ever been to. Clothes were thrown all over the place, and I waited forever at the formula cabinet because no one ever came. When I finally saw an employee, she almost broke the door trying to force it open before realizing she needed the key. At that point, I probably could've tried doing the same thing. Then the restrooms... absolutely disgusting. There was no toilet paper at all, it smelled awful, and the baby changing table was covered in old food. It's a hit or miss with cashiers, as far as being friendly/polite. And please dont go early in the morning while they are still stocking shelves, as you will be in their way, as well as a burden for even entering the store. A lot of items are always out of stock, or doesn't ring up the correct price that is advertised. I havent been in awhile, and really dont miss going. read more

This store sold an American Express gift card that was unusable, and when we asked for help, the response from staff to my brother was essentially, "Oh well, call American Express." That level of dismissiveness is unacceptable. Target chose to sell the product, take the money, and then immediately wash their hands of it when it failed. Even worse, I tried calling the store for support and no one answered. Not once. Gift cards are a known scam and tampering risk. If Target is going to keep them on racks, they need real monitoring, real training, and real accountability. Took someone legit 46 minutes to come while two guys were at the cashier munching away. Yeah it's probable they may be on their break but 2 guys at the same time in tech? Hashtag sus. I finally purchase the game...the lady assisting me was sympathetic but obviously wanted to get out of there asap. Unfortunately, while I was explaining the situation, an employee named Rachel joined the conversation without offering any helpful information or attempting to resolve the problem and by making negative comments. I came Friday evening and surprisingly the lit was pretty empty for drive up yet I waited 15 minutes even though there were only 2 other cars for drive up and no one ever brought my items although a worker was standing there she never came over to check in or say we're delayed or it's coming or anything so I left. I've been here during rush hour and didn't wait 15 minutes and times where I did wait long someone came to give me an update. I then tried to cancel my order in app and when I type the reason "something went wrong" error message occurs but when I just cancel without giving them the bad feedback the cancellation processed just fine - ha! read more

Well, I come here a lot. I live about 5 minutes away and I guess I usually just get in and get out, this was the first time I've needed assistance and wow I wish I hadn't. I made my way past the dancing tweaker and made my way to the electronics. My son wanted to buy the Switch2, it's in a locked case so you have no choice but ask for help.... but there's no one around. So i found a help button (at least they used to be buttons now its some kind of sensor.) It beeped assuring me that someone was on their way... I stood here for 20minutes and no one came. I tried the sensor again, and eventually flagged someone down who was walking past. They got on the radio and assured me someone was on the way. Another 10 minutes or so go by when my wife walks to the front of the store to get someone. They also get on the radio. So after at least a half an hour wait someone eventually shows up. I asked him if the button was broken as no one ever responded, he just shrugged. No apology, no explanation, just did me the glorious favor of unlocking the glass and ringing me up. What a guy. What a place! This level is customer service doesn't happen just anywhere, I can't imagine the hours of training that must go into making an entire store just completely ignore it's customers. I went into a physical store because of an issue with two gift cards that were given to my kids for their birthdays that were purchased at this location. These cards were showing as invalid when I tried using them on my Target app and when I tried checking the balance on the Target website. The employee inside the store gave me two phone numbers to call to resolve the issue. Both numbers were incorrect. One was "unavailable" and the other one was disconnected. I then googled the correct number for Target customer service for gift cards. The person I spoke to let me know that the gift cards did in fact have $30 dollars each, but that they were "in-store gift cards only". In other words, I could only use them inside a physical store. So I went inside to shop and use them since I was there. After shopping for 40 minutes, I get to the counter to use the cards, and they are still showing invalid. I had to call the customer service number again per Target employees. And this time the person on the phone asked me "why didn't you just add the cards to your app"? Really?? Weren't they only "in-store gift cards"?? She then told me that the access codes were not good and that they would be mailing me two new gift cards in the mail in 7-10 business days. Mind you, three Target staff members had already told me that if I called the customer service gift card line I would be issued replacement eGift cards to my email! But no, I spent 40 minutes shopping in the physical store to then have to purchase my stuff with my own money in that moment and not with the gift cards that clearly showed they had $30 dollar balances on them. The cashiers even checked them right in front of me and on their cash registers, they showed $30 dollars on each one. But when the access codes would not work, there was NOTHING they could do to fix it. Not even an override? A complete disappointment in customer service. This all began at the Arlington Target with someone who clearly did not know how to load a gift card. The people that got us these cards even told me that the girl that helped them did not look like she knew what she was doing. So much time and money wasted. Do a better job training your employees and maybe have some protocols for when a valid gift card is not working. And definitely update your customer service phone numbers. read more

I wanted to bring to your attention an incident that occurred during a recent visit to your store with my daughter. While we were in the hot food area, my daughter picked up a pizza box which unfortunately slipped and fell due to the box not being secure. An employee nearby witnessed it but instead of offering help or showing understanding, she gave my daughter a harsh look and said she shouldn't have touched the pizza because it was hot. While I understand the importance of safety, the situation could have been handled with more kindness and professionalism--especially since my daughter is a child and it was clearly an accident. The lack of support and the judgmental attitude made the experience uncomfortable for both of us. Placed a pick up order for convenience. I got off work late and have a work trip in the am. Two of my items were canceled and back ups were not given despite me giving replacement options. I picked up those missing items myself from inside the same store before heading to the pick up area. They did not cancel my order of razors until I was already leaving the store with a bag of my other items. So instead of letting me know an item is missing, I had to find out when I got home. If you're out of an item let your guests know. I could have easily gotten razors as I went inside for the other items they were too careless to grab. Now I will have to figure out where/when I can next shave my legs before I leave at 5am. Just ridiculous service. read more

I have never ever felt the need to review a grocery store before but start to finish, this is by far the WORST target I have ever been too. First off it was super messy with boxes all over, and trash scattered on the floor. Then we were getting simple stuff for our house, we couldn't find anything, the layout was awful, the stock on things was terrible and the worst thing yet, not ONE of the workers were any help. Every single worker I asked for help, would blow me off, or say the general direction and sigh because they didn't want to help. I then went to the medicine aisle to get Benadryl for my mom who has been sick, and everything was l locked (which is normal) so I press the help button and waited 10 minutes. I pressed it 3 total times without having any help, then had to literally go searching for any worker to help me, I went to the help desk and asked them to unlock it and they said oh I'll send someone. I go back to wait, and 10 minutes later I finally see some blonde short haired lady with piercings come up and they yell from 40 feet away, "is it unlocked" in a very obviously annoyed voice. I tried it just to make sure and it wasn't so she came stumbling over as if it wasn't her job, and was sighing making it very clear she didn't want to be there. She Unlocked the cabinet, the shoved the door open, then angrily said "excuse me, EXCUSE ME, I need to use the bathroom" then shoved past my grandmother, and said go ahead and take as much as you want I'm not gonna regulate. So we then went to checkout already annoyed by the employees behaviors, and attitudes and the overall atmosphere of the place, and the man checking us out seemed so annoyed that he had to scan our Benadryl, and proceeded to sarcastically respond to every single comment we made with the biggest sigh. Genuinely it is the worst target I have ever been too, and I feel so angry, I had to leave a review. From the dirtiness, the clutter, the anger of employees and finally the girl that pushed past my grandmother, I had enough and I need to leave a review. I hope this place gets its act together MAJORLY, and soon, I WILL be contacting Hr about this, and I hope they clean it up, and give it the employees who will actually work without giving the customers crap. I was here at the arlington ave store about an hr ago. I don't want to keep enabling amzon's monopoly, plus I thought it'd be nice to have something immediately. What I wanted was locked behind glass, but an employee happened by. Unfortunately he didn't have his keys on him, but he said he'd let someone know. Right then, someone else showed up and said the same thing...no keys but someone is on the way. Granted maybe I'm just being impatient but 6 minutes went by while I paced back and forth. My target! Ordering with the app for drive up is so convenient. You can zip in, pick up your order with ease and you're on your way. Employees here are always so helpful and kind. This target drive up team has been such a great addition. Rain or shine, the system they have in place works so well and in a timely manner. This is my favorite Target store. The employees are always friendly. I love the store selection. It's hard to leave without getting something from decor. But my favorite area is kitchen supplies. Prices are really good. I often order online and pick up in store then get more stuff. The Arlington store also has a lot of staff that understand how to work with Deaf kids from the School for the Deaf. I appreciate that. Even better when the staff know ASL. read more

The stock is always low and the customer service is poor. I've had several issues throughout the years here. Most recently, I wanted to try on a pair of Kate Spade jeans so I asked an employee who was working in the clothing section folding clothing to open a fitting room. She responded that they don't open the fitting room until 10am- it's ridiculous that the store is open and I couldn't try clothing on. I put them back. Then as I was loading my car with my purchases, I realized the Quest chips I had just bought were expired. I've had this issue here with other food items as well. While it doesn't always matter, the chips get stale so I returned them. This was just the latest example of a bad experience at this Target. read more

Ok, off with whomever's head, the one who decided that kiosks should make an already tight main aisle by the registers even harder to navigate!? This older and smaller Target recently got revamped and refloored, and that's a step forward, except for the opening comment. I've been a regular customer here for 12-years and counting so this move to crowd more of what's habitually crowded is short-sighted. Still, who can argue that any Walmart is not a worse shopping experience? Parking is plentiful but oddly laid out, somewhat segmented due to the lie of the land. The location is off the 91 fwy but strangely congested, almost as bad as any Costco you've ever been to in California. My usual tasks here involve products and wet food for my fuzzy, and I'm a recent convert to Cartwheel, the Target-affiliated app. How much have we saved between that, occasionally earned gift cards and 5% off with the Target card? A lot, hence the 3 stars. Employees are generally friendly here, sometimes they're available for questions around the store, but now that I have my bearings for where they moved things I like, assistance is a lower priority. read more
