I received excellent service when I purchased Hydeline leather sofa and loveseat. The customer service exceeded what you expect. There was a relaxed atmosphere during the transaction. All my questions were answered. There was no hard-sell that sometimes happens. I was given as much time as needed. I recommend this business with no hesitation. read more

Came by in search of a coffee table & bookshelf - I don't think I meet their demographic. It's definitely an older, more dated style of furniture. Small selection and I thought it was rather expensive. read more

Found a mattress and box and was delivered with care. They didn't have a corner cabinet but were going to try and find one in their catalogs. read more

My mom has been shopping at Barr's for over 20 + years. The staff really goes out of their way to take care of my mom.

A Riverside staple. My parents purchased furniture here when I was growing up, and I now have the privilege of shopping here too. High quality, timeless furniture. Great customer service. Their sale days are such warm, fun events. I'm a happy customer! So far, I have a beautiful desk & two recliners from Barr's. We're saving & planning for our next piece! read more

Great family-owned furniture store, very nice people. And after I bought my bed here, I get flyers for their quarterly free Saturday breakfasts and lunches. Have you ever known a furniture store that also serves free meals to everyone, not just customers, but everyone who goes? The mattresses are less in price than the other furniture. Another kindness they provide to the community and customers is the layaway plan. You can place furniture on layaway and pay as long as you need to. Finding this store was one of the first nice experiences I had after moving to the area , (from Orange County). read more

I've been searching for weeks for a chest of drawers and so I googled furniture stores and Barrs came up so I hit direction and was led to the most quaint furniture store, the atmosphere was inviting and the owner Nick was very pleasant had a playful sense of humor and we had a great conversation I will definitely go back when I need more furniture and I highly recommend this establishment read more

Family owned and operated furniture store. Always want to support local businesses any way we can. Bought a mattress and box set also manufactured by a local company, so good vibes all around. Love this store! Nick is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. I've purchased a dining table set, sofa and love seat recently, but over the years I've bought a bedroom set, recliner, and a entertainment center years and years ago. Been shopping here for 20 years! read more

I have purchased a number of pieces of furniture here. The prices are competitive and the staff seem knowledgeable. The service could be better; surprising for a small business. If an item is supposed to arrive in 4 - 6 weeks, I would expect Barr's to call the manufacturer near the end of the 6 week period and then call me with an update. That has never occurred. Instead I call at the end of the six weeks. The last time I called to inquire whether my couch had come in, the employee seemed surprised that I might be calling to find out where my furniture was. This is minor, but annoying. They should distinguish themselves from chain furniture stores. read more

We have always had good luck in finding furniture at Barr's Furniture. They have good quality furniture at good prices. The prices may seem high, however, the items they carry are high quality items that last a very long time. This store has been around for ages. I think it must be family run and possibly passed down through the generations. The same way generations of our family have bought furniture from this store. Today we received a desk and a hutch for my daughter to use in her room for doing homework. We had to order the desk from a catalog because it was not carried in stock in their store. It took some time after we ordered it. The delivery people delivered it right to our house and set up the desk and the hutch in my daughters bedroom. It looks great. read more

I was referred to Barr's Furniture by a friend. These guys at Barr's are the best. Nick made it super easy for me and my wife to purchase furniture for a new home that we were moving into. We had a lot of questions regarding all the furniture we were interested in purchasing and Nick was great answering all of our questions. Nick was friendly and knowledgeable on all the types of furniture that my wife and I were interested in purchasing. The customer service was second to none. We couldn't have asked for anything more regarding the customer service and quality of furniture. They have a huge selection of furniture. Getting the furniture delivered to the home was an excellent experience as well. Frank delivered the furniture with such precision that there was NO DAMAGE to the furniture or the walls! I've already gone back to order some more items and I'm sure we'll be back at Barr's again to purchase some more items. Thanks Nick for all of your help! read more

This furniture store is awesome. I wish I had discovered it years ago. Nick & the staff are all cooperative & supportive. They work with you & give great deals. So far I've purchased a beautiful television stand & have many more furniture pieces on lay-away. I will continue to purchase all of my furniture here. And you should too. They are also respectful & responsible regarding COVID19 conditions. read more

Barr's Furniture never disappoints. My Mother In Law was looking for a simple chair and saw one at Barr's she loved, however she wasn't sure if the color would match her decor. Louisa was so kind to take a photo of it so we could be sure. Turns out it was a match and Louisa even loaded it into our car. Now that's going above and beyond for the customer!! Great customer service Louisa!!! You ROCK!!! read more

Great customer service! Was planning on buying a new bed since ours was too tall. Sales woman gave us other options which ended up saving us money! Will definitely stop here first next time we need furniture. read more

What an absolutely positive experience shopping here. I have a daughter who is attending UC Riverside who recently got her first place of her own. We needed to get furniture, but had a budget that called fro Ikea or less. We decided to check this store out because it was close to campus. We were able to walk around the store free of the sales person shadow some stores have. After about ten minutes, we found the perfect dresser at a very good price. We then found a salesman (Nick) who asked what it would be for and he proceeded to recommend an even cheaper dresser which was incredibly sturdy. He emphasized that for a college student, durability should take precedent over anything else. I was stunned by how genuinely helpful he was, almost like he was considering what he'd want as a father. We ended up getting a desk to go with the dresser, and even after delivery charges (nominal) it was within budget. We got a high-quality desk and dresser delivered to the exact spot in her room with no assembly on our part. Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy a hex wrench as much as the next person, but not having to read instructions to assemble a 200-piece puzzle that never quite ends up like the picture on the box was more than fine by me. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are a parent with a kid attending UCR who will be living in their own apartment, this should be your first stop. My biggest regret is that we had already bought a mattress from someone else the previous week. Which leads me to the best part of buying from Barr's. Nick called the warehouse to make sure it was in stock and could be stored a ready to go for delivery the next day (our order was placed around 3:00 in the afternoon). My daughter got her furniture at 1:05 the next day (after waiting a whopping five minutes into their two-hour delivery window). What a fantastic experience! read more

Surprised no one has reviewed this place yet-- it's been around for 50 years. Admittedly, the other customers in the store didn't look the yelping type... We wanted recliners so we went to the La-Z-Boy stores-- those stores are impressive in size, but their service was pushy. They kept touting their guarantee, which apparently comes at extra cost (not sure though, they weren't very clear). Frustrated, I called Barr Furniture-- they can order direct from La-Z-Boy and it saves a bunch of money-- I think we saved about $700ish on our sofa and recliner. Was able to call in the order and do everything over the phone, super easy. I live over an hour away, so Barr's delivery would have been expensive ($200, although La-Z-Boy wanted to charge me $150 and I'm not far from them...) so we picked it up ourselves. Browsed the rest of the store while we were there and they definitely have some quality lifetime furniture-- and they have some of the cheaper stuff too. They said they can order anything I see at Ashley furniture but at a cheaper price. The service was great, they told us all about the La-Z-Boys, how to maintain them, how to take them apart to get them in our front door, and to call them if anything goes wrong(the store has a guarantee on top of the La-Z-Boy guarantee.) Even though it's far, I think I'll only buy furniture from them from now on. read more

This is the only place we buy furniture. We've been going there so long we've watched each family grow up. The furniture is not cheap, but it lasts a long time. read more

I was referred here by a friend who said they were able to get popular items like items shown in Ashley's for cheaper. I went to Ashley's found what I wanted, and went here and they were able to save me $300 off of Ashley's "discount". I will tell everyone about this place! Thank you so much for your service! read more

Our family has been buying furniture here for decades. Nick is always accommodating to our needs. Prices are very reasonable. This is a oasis of great furniture in a veritable wasteland of Inland Empire furniture stores. Don't waste time and money going anywhere else! Get over there today! read more

Now this place I like! They really had some nice furniture on the floor, but I was trying to find something to match or sort-of match an existing set I have and move our current bed into the guest room. He opened up his catalogs and really let me pour through them. Found EXACTLY what I was looking for. Really nice folks! read more

I bought a $750 recliner that was pegged together with dowels and cheap plywood (3ply)...waste of money. My brother went in to buy a sectional and he was told to have a look around by the owner so he did then he decided he liked a set they had and he headed to the back of the store and the fat lady(owner) was talking about my brother walking around sitting his fat sweaty a$$ on all the couches...he just left without notice. read more

Wife and I just spent $10k to replace four couches, four chairs, two entertainment centers and a few other oak items. This is the only place left with quality furniture and excellent customer service. I was even able to order the fabric to reupholster two high back chairs to match two of the couches. This has been our place to buy furniture for over 30 years. read more

This place is awesome they have good quality furniture and very nice people :) worked here for a lil bit love it here....

the staff is really nice, and will offer help when you need it, but will also leave you alone if you're just browsing which is nice (they don't harass you for a sale). i've purchased a couple of things here, and sometimes they have some really cool and unique pieces of furniture so you just have to keep an eye out. read more

Prices are ok, however we have been waiting over 2 months to get our furniture. There lack of customer service in keeping the client informed of delays is non existent. They came highly recommended. However, the lack of follow through and now almost 3 months of not getting what we paid for is ludicrous. I will never shop at this furniture store again. read more

horrible customer service. they posted a price online. i bought item then they come back and refund me the money because they had someone put the wrong price online, and claimed it was a "promotional price" and they're out of stock" but yet their still selling the same exact item that was "out of stock" for about 1000 dollars more than what i tried buying it for. they messed up and didn't want to honor there messed up price. read more

We recently had the need to purchase a lift-recliner chair for our elderly mom who has mobility/back issues and cannot be taken to a furniture store to navigate trying out chairs in a showroom and when we learned that Barr furniture could help us by delivering 3 chairs to our mom's own apt. to try out and choose from was exactly what we needed, and were able to do so by the end of the same day! They were so very compassionate to assist us with our special need, their products and prices are great and we would highly recommend them to all and they will certainly get our future business! read more

WOW! I can say that every single time we have bought anything from here, it has always been the best in customer service and overall buying experiences. This is by far the best place to get furniture with the most friendly and personable people to assist you in finding something you really want or need. Recently we found a bed through them we thought we would NEVER find and ordering it was very fast, with delivery as soon as it came in! We are repeat customers because every time we have been completely satisfied with our purchase. They truly go above and beyond for their customers. I was looking for a new La-Z-Boy rocker recliner and Barrs Furniture is THE ultimate store to shop for them! The store is tastefully arranged with beautiful furniture and accessories and they have a large room dedicated to La-Z-Boy. There are about 100, yes really, 100 recliner chairs on the showroom floor to sample and Crystal, the sales lady who came to assist us knew the products totally. She is friendly and helpful never pushy or impatient. I tried out several chairs and Crystal was able to answer all my questions without consulting a manual. After the purchase we arranged for delivery the next day and they delivered as promised a new chair from their huge warehouse, not a floor sample. They unpacked and assembled the chair outside and carried in and placed it where we wanted it then took all the packaging with them when they left. Buying from Barrs Furniture was a pleasant experience and I encourage anyone shopping for furniture to give them a chance to help you too. read more
