Pro: those warm snacks they put out can be especially yummy, the pulled pork sandwich is a current favorite. When available. Con: No TAP mode for your card at the self-checkput. For me that potentially opens skulldugury for enterprising thieves. Another big con is the lack of employee response to summons for assistance at locked displays (baby formula, booze, pain relief, deodorant, etc). The best lowest prices for most everything. Only does amazon beat their prices for select items. Walmart has its own brand, "Great Value" and it is excellent for its cost and quality. The biggest downside of Walmart is when they restock or rearrange their products; then many things won't be in stock during that period. But, since they stay open till 11:00pm everyday, I can always come back to get what I want, when I want to. And this review is mainly about their grocery; they have all kinds of goods in their store and a Burger King plus a pharmacy. This Walmart is in a low income area and isn't staffed that well. I had a very uncomfortable experience at the self-checkout area because of an employee named Kristine. A family in front of me had a small child (around 3 years old) who the family later revealed to be autistic. Like many toddlers, the child briefly reached out and touched her. Instead of responding calmly or simply setting a polite boundary, Kristine reacted with visible irritation and told them she "doesn't like being touched" in a harsh tone that immediately made the family look embarrassed and proceeded to argue with who i assume to be the child's mother and grandmother in front of said and child and who i assume to be the child's older sibling. Of course everyone has personal boundaries. That's completely understandable. However, the way this was handled showed very little patience, empathy, or basic customer service skills--especially toward a small child. Working in a busy Walmart self-checkout means interacting with families and young kids all day. Situations like that require professionalism, not attitude. If interacting with customers--especially families with children--is this frustrating, customer-facing roles might not be the best fit. On a positive note, shoutout to the team lead (I didn't catch her name) who was a smaller woman with her hair in a slicked-back bun. She stepped in and handled the situation calmly and professionally, which made a big difference. Also, huge thank you to Theresa, who helped us even though she was off the clock. She was kind, patient, and stepped in to assist when things clearly weren't being handled efficiently. Employees like Theresa are the reason people keep coming back. Hopefully management takes note of the difference between employees who actually help customers and those who seem irritated that customers exist in the first place. read more

We stopped by the Walmart Supercenter in Riverside on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy (as expected), but honestly not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The store is huge -- I had forgotten just how big it is! We went for groceries and found some good deals. Picked up quality salmon and a family-size Caesar salad -- both were fresh and well-priced. Prices on food overall are solid. On the downside, I was looking for foot powder and couldn't find anyone who knew what aisle it was in. After asking a couple of times, I gave up. For a store this size, better guidance would really help. Overall, it's a good place to shop for variety and value, but be prepared to walk a lot. Bought a cooler a last friday at a self check out and I selected a text only receipt . Old mexican woman said she didn't take returns if they're not paper receipts my sister tried telling her I got it through text then she rudely got cut off, which i didn't take very well. I thought that was weird so I decided to do the return through the app. Got the bar code for the return & it told me to show the employee. She looked annoyed then smiled & said "Oh now i definitely can't help you, next." Since my little sister was here I had to be nice & apologize "for any miscommunication." which stroked her ego enough to continue the return. Turns out she didn't need the paper receipt. This time JENNY the clerk was so rude to me an told me I had to bag my own stuff and I let her know I have always brought my own bags an have never bagged my own stuff she then went on to refuse bagging my stuff and told me I better do it! I let her know I was not doing especially after how rude she was, I am the customer!! Going back and forth she then starts to bag my stuff and I spend over $130.00! She started throwing my stuff in my bags aggressively and my chips where smashed at the bottom an so was my bread! She carried an attitude and threw my receipt at me ! Gilbert the manager called me I'm sure to ask the situation and I have been on hold for over 30 min, no one in the store seems to know a Gilbert even tho when I called couple hours earlier they let me know the hours he would be in !! I try to avoid this location even though it is the one closest to my house. There are many creepy people loitering in the parking lot and no security to do anything about it. One time, I noticed a homeless-looking man sitting in front of the store as I went in. When I later came out with my purchases, he was still there but got up and started following me out into the parking lot. I was parked pretty far out and didn't feel comfortable, so I kind of veered around acting like I forgot where I was parked to make sure that he really was following me. The man circled around, watching me, and trying to anticipate where I was going. I finally saw a Walmart employee in the parking lot and asked if he could call security. The employee said that he didn't think there was any security on premises that day. Luckily, he was kind enough to offer to walk me to my car. He told me that this has been an ongoing problem with a lot of loiterers and beggars and complaints from shoppers that were accosted. I've never experienced this at the Corona or Moreno Valley store, so now I often go to those locations just to feel safer. read more

There were two super rude employees. I was looking in the shirts on the tables. Some shirts said three dollars on them that were marked clearance and others didn't the employee I asked about it said she's not the one that prices prices them and put them on the table then she walked away and said this isn't Macy's. I scanned all of the shirts with my phone on the Walmart app and they had the correct price three dollars marked down for clearance all of them said that so then I went to the register to pay with the T-shirts. I had grabbed the employee at the register said this is five dollars and I said no. I scanned it on the app and it said it was three dollars, then he said that is only for online purchase. But when you scan on the app, it tells you in-store prices. The employees said if he marked down the price he would get fired.
