I love their hours, this location kept the bulk bins, unsure of others, where Whole Foods got rid of them. The sad part is the nuts are almost always stale. There produce prices are unbeatable tho , so if you eat lots of fruit and veg this is the place to go. I prefer early hours but the self checkout is usually closed, but the line is never long at 6 am or so. My guilty pleasure is diet soda and this is the cheapest place that I can find soda so this is usually where I go as well as sparkling water in the can. I also usually stock up here because you just can't beat the prices. My favorite thing is the self checkout most people don't realize they can this is where you can get rid of all of your coins when using self checkout as it's rung up so fast so I often will bring a whole lot of pennies so I can get rid of the pennies especially as they're no longer in production so I highly recommend bringing your change here. The meat area is not exactly what I would want. They don't have organic chicken. They don't have organic or even know antibiotics ever pork, but they do have grass fed ground beef, which is nice but it's the only high-quality protein that they tend to carry so I do have to go to another store for my chicken, my pork and any kind of. What I do love that they have grass fed milk or the last time I was there and they have grass fed butter, but so far they haven't expanded their dairy to be organic so you don't have cream cheese or cottage cheese that's organic and I'm hoping one day they bring that. read more

The store is generally fine. There's a nice variety of products, and for the most part it's well maintained, aside from occasionally finding moldy cheese or berries. I've been shopping at this location for many years and have never had an issue with the staff until today. My brother and I stopped by to pick up groceries for our mom and had a very unpleasant experience with the self-checkout attendant, a heavier-set woman who appeared to be in her 50s with dark hair. It was around 1:00pm on August 6th. She was rude, unfriendly, and lacked basic customer service. She stood over us while we scanned our groceries, making the entire experience feel unnecessarily uncomfortable. We accidentally selected "sweet potatoes" instead of "yams." She made us rescan them, which we did immediately after politely apologizing, even though they were the exact same price. After we finished scanning and had already paid, she then informed us that we had selected "personal watermelon" instead of "seedless watermelon." The price difference was only about $2, and to avoid this hassle (which she literally waited until right after we paid to start) I would've literally just handed her $2. Instead, she made us rescan and repurchase the watermelon, then process a refund for the original transaction, creating an unnecessary hassle over a minor mistake. Everyone makes mistakes, and I understand the need to ensure customers are charged correctly. However, the way she handled the situation felt unnecessarily confrontational and unkind. Rather than treating us with courtesy, it felt like she was a bully looking for reasons to make the process more difficult. I hope management addresses this, as one unpleasant interaction can easily overshadow an otherwise positive shopping experience. read more

I've always been a fan of the WinCo Foods in Lakewood, so I wasn't surprised that I liked this WinCo location in Norco. I love WinCo for their variety and great prices. I can't say for certain that everything is cheaper or comparable to other supermarkets, but the produce and many processed items appear to be priced lower - even compared to Walmart! Besides the prices, I love the variety. There is SO MUCH stuff at WinCo! Honestly, I wish there was a WinCo near me because I would be there on a regular basis. I stopped in here with my mom and I was pleasantly surprised by how inexpensive everything was. We picked up a few items in their produce section as well as their cleaning section. I can't speak for the hot foods or any of their meats, but we had no issues with the items that we picked up. I really like that they have spaces for bulk candy and grains and nuts so if you are in the mood for that, I would come to Winco. The one thing to note is that I don't think they take credit cards here so if you're planning on using a credit card like I do to get your points you will need to have a debit card on hand. Have been wanting to get some bulk things and since I was in the area, decided to stop in and get some bulk quinoa. Think it was about $2.79 or so a pound. I got about two pounds of it and that will last me some time. The store is still very clean and they have great deals in the deli to meats and vegetables section. If you're shopping on a budget and looking for great deals and decent produce - winco is it! It is extremely affordable. I did not know that they don't take credit cards so just a little heads up there! Patient and courteous genuinely kind and we appreciated her happy helpful self. Shop their today the produce section had a lot of bugs flying around the fruit. seems like they would remove old fruit with bugs crawling on them. Brought food from deli the employee give me a very strange vibe they don't speak or say hello lack customer service with food prices so high management need to improve employee interaction with customers i think i will no longer spend my money there until they improve customer service maybe they will learn people like to feel welcome where they spend money. read more

I like this store, but today I was possibly discriminated against and I thought I'd share. I was in line and there was still two guys ahead of me and when they opened up a new check stand, a young checker with slick back hair, possibly Caucasian passed me by and took the guy behind me and other people that were further back in line. My items were not on the belt and the guy behind me had quite a few items.. I don't know if it's a gender thing because he only took men. It made me feel like I was less than. I don't like that. I was at the WinCo in norco, CA around 3:00 p.m. my cashier was named Daisy, she was as rude as they get. She wanted me to put my debit in to the machine before she Finished ringing my groceries up. I told her I had never heard of that before. She became rude and very abrasive. I tried to ignore her, but she continued with her foolishness, then she kept looking at the customers behind me, getting them worked up. I have shopped at this store since 2005, and have never been treated so shabbily by an employee. I think she should be fired. I am going to report this to several review sites. Just got home from Winco/Norco & for 2nd time now in the past 2 weeks I bought the fried chicken dinner w/the potato wedges & rolls. Opened it up & the chicken is completely old & dried out & the wedges are old & burnt. & it was prime dinner time (5pm) so you'd think it would be somewhat fresh but nope they still serving old chicken/wedges from lunch time. So disappointed, was starving too. I wouldn't even feed that food to my dogs! Wanted to go back & complain but I don't think they'd do anything about. Just ruined my dinner again. We have been going to Winco for many years. Lately, their customer service and employees have been so disappointing. First case...we bought 6 cucumbers 33 cent each. Checker Alisha charged $2.48. Not a big issue for 50 cents but still I mentioned that it should be about $2. 00. She kept calculating in her mind and seemed so confused so I said 3 cucumbers for a dollar, so 6 should be $2.00. She wasn't convinced, still trying to figure out. This is the standard of Winco employees. 0 in basic every day mathematics. Second one was so disgusting. We grabbed few plastic bags ( compostable available next to fruits and veggies) to buy bulk food. Unfortunately, we had 2 extra bags left in cart. Checker woman took those bags to fill other customer's groceries in case they need it. I told her that is not hygienic and must not be used. She must throw those. But she insisted to use it for other customers. When complained to customer service desk, she advised its theirpolicy. What??? Now I am thinking how hygienic is their groceries. People stuck hands in bulk food some time ago and ate stuff. Seems like winco controlled that. Not too many people are seen polluting the food filled in drums However, question still remains if employees are hired with basic knowledge of cleanliness or simple calculations. I only really ever visit WinCo at obscure hours in the night, so my experience is probably very different from the average grocery shopper, but that being said, my experiences have been mostly positive! WinCo reminds me of a smaller version of Costco, or like if Costco would let you buy bulk products individually. The lighting and formatting of the store lends itself to that. The store is usually restocking in the hours I visit, so sometimes there are people unboxing in the aisles or boxes blocking the way, but usually they're very nice and move them out of the way in a timely fashion. WinCo quality is relatively decent! The items here are definitely cheaper than some of the other grocery stores in the area, and the fact that they are open 24 hours is a huge plus. For instance, my friend was able to get the Ghirardelli chocolate chips for cheaper here than at a different store. The staff members are typically helpful, but can also sometimes be dismissive. I don't necessarily blame them, I usually visit at 2 or 3 in the morning when I go to WinCo, so I get it. 24 hour places tend to be like that. That being said, WinCo employees have been pretty nice from my experience. read more

I often shop here with no problems, always a quick in and out. However today during checkout our cashier Nancy, didn't ask any of the 3 customers in front of us about how many bags they were getting or needed but when me and my husband got to the checkout process, she began to ask how many and what kind of bags we needed. I don't care about paying for a dumb bag but GIRL keep the same energy with all customers. She was rude and didn't give us a very good checkout experience. read more

Winco is usually my go to for groceries because of their fair prices and 24 hour accessibility. I work swing shift and often times come in after my shifts for what I need. During my most recent visit 3 entire aisles were blocked off for restocking. There were boxes in the middle of nearly every aisle and there were men throwing boxes and sliding them down the aisles carelessly. No one watches where they are going or what they're blocking. The blonde woman is rude and acts as though she doesn't want to be there. My entire checkout experience felt cold and rushed. Terrible experience at self-checkout. Based on these other reviews it obvious this is not a one time occurrence. They are very militant about the 15 item limit at self checkout. Even if it is one or two items above they're instructed to threaten to cancel your transaction and send you to their already impressively long checkout lines. I am appalled at the level of service here, and it is not the poor cashiers' faults. Management is sticking their nose where it doesn't belong and it is making the shopping experience miserable. I feel for Debbie, as she was not very nice but I empathize with the ridiculous demands of corporate and management. Supervisor Matt was rude and was singling me out. He told me I could not buy all 8 of an item that was on the shelf. I've been to WinCo Foods a few times. It's not a place that I visit frequently just because it is on the other side of town for me. But my best friend swears by this place!!! This is where he does all of his shopping and he won't go anywhere else for groceries. My best friend said this is the cheapest place for food lol Now I haven't really tested his theory out yet and compared WinCo Foods pricing to other grocery stores lol But I know my best friend is usually right so I'm gonna take his word for it. :) The times that I have been here it is clean and well organized. Came here to get a few things. I didn't have my debit card because It was compromised a few days ago. So I go to pay with a credit card and the guy says they don't take credit. What? Who doesn't take credit?!!!! WTH! So I say, ok I can run across the parking lot to my bank to get cash. He said "ok, if you are fast enough I'll hold it" Really? If I'm fast enough? $170 worth of food and you can't suspend it and put it to the side for 10 minutes? The store was slow as heck! I worked at a grocery store- it doesn't take much effort to do. the cashier, daisy, who helped us was extremely patronizing. we were bagging our items and the conveyor belt wasn't moving fast and the line was long so we were trying not to take up too much time bagging our items so my boyfriend was grabbing the items as the lady was scanning them and she literally said "ok im gonna put this down but don't touch my hand, ok?" like lady what??? and then she started lecturing him about how the conveyor belt moves and the items will come to us and that was the thing that angered me even more because it's not his first day on earth why are you "educating" him right now. this was shocking to us because she was literally being super friendly and social to the people before us. we don't need her to be nice to us and kiss our forehead before we leave but she needs to keep it cute or else don't be surprised when i speak up! but yeah that's our bad for tryin to bag our items quick i'll make sure to take my sweet time next time! read more

Unfortunately the store is beginning to go downhill a bit. I find a lot of moldy and wilted fruit and vegetables amongst the fresh. Mold is beginning to grow on the walls in produce. The entire section needs to be cleaned especially because mold has set in. The bakery section is OK but the muffins have no flavor except for sweet. I found a hair in the package of donuts that I bought. Winco bakery donuts powdered, chocolate and plain. It really put me off of eating them. The workers are getting very rude. Someone mentioned that the stockers are always, unapologetically, in your way. This is true. They walk right in front of you without saying excuse me or even acknowledging your existence. Many of the cashiers are also rude and will crush your food by trying to cram all of the groceries to the end of the belt. I also asked a question of one, if I had done something wrong when entering my payment, and she just looked at me like I had two heads. There are a few cashiers who are above and beyond nice however. Pretty decent WinCo, I like this one much better than Pomona which gets really crowded. It's got some items we would get at Stater's and the rest at Aldi. what the heck is going on here? don't know what happened, but for years now I'd love to come eat here because it was great and excellent prices.Well I don't know what happened today when I went in there but they have raised their prices on everything! I actually compared them to Walmart prices and they're exactly the same if not more. I like buying from the Winco deli ready made section, for my work week lunch/snacks. I recently bought some lemon pepper chicken wings from that section and for the 2nd time in a row they were EXTREMELY SALTY!!
