Well let me just say HomeGoods is the place to shop for Halloween decorations. I am sure you all know HG is a goldmine for virtually anything you may need or want for you home decor fantasies. But we were shocked when we came and there are aisles and aisles of Halloween decorations. If you didn't need something, you may end up finding something anyway! I just wanted to give HG a shout out for embracing the upcoming holiday and making it super fun and festive. Oh, and the prices are good too. The products are good quality. Wow. So many random cool things in here but honestly a little chaotic. The staff at checkout are so nice and I can feel that she wants to help me. This is my first time inside a HomeGoods and it was fun browsing through the aisles, I actually found a really lovely brand of jigsaw puzzles and purchased one. read more

I'm a HomeGoods girl, and was excited to discover this Daly City store. My disappointment started with the parking lot. It was a compilation of shopping carts strewn all over, in empty parking spaces; it was just a mess. The inside of the store was like the parking lot. Many of the shelves were messy, and in general, the most disorganized store that I've ever been into. The merchandise while new, wasn't exciting. It was older looking items. The disorganization didn't help. It was difficult to find items, because the layout of the store was also weird. They had tons of fake decorated wreaths. Something that I've not seen at other stores. I did manage to find a few spots of items that were put together, but none of it was interesting. There weren't any employees that I could find, expect for one lady at the register. I was looking for something specific, and asked the lady at the register if she knew where I could find it. Her reply was "no". That was my cue to leave. Peace out HomeGoods. read more

I love popping in here when I'm going to Sprouts or PetSmart next door. Sometimes the best finds are when you go in with nothing in particular in mind. Great place to find gifts at reasonable price. I also like their kitchen/housewares section. The people working here are happy to answer any questions I have, when I'm looking for something specific. There's plenty of parking at this location. What I like best is that, for some unknown reason, this location tends to have short to no line for the cashier. At least when I've stopped by. This is unlike most other location where there's always a long line of people waiting to pay. read more

This is the closest HomeGoods near us. And the second HG I have been to. Lots of beautiful home decor items with different aesthetics, snacks and candy and even pet treats. I recently came by with my fur baby and we shopped around for some bedroom items. I love looking at all the beautiful designs. Had a hard time picking out what I wanted since so many choices. Check out process took a while as the line was long but service friendly. I felt like the prices are fair and this place provided a great shopping experience. This HomeGoods has been open for about a month according to staff. The store is clean, bright and well stocked. They have a lot of workers around but probably since it's the holidays. Found some dog treats that aren't usually at other stores. The checkout lines are still long but they did their best to have as many registers open. Still new, sparkly feeling. Homegoods finally opened a location closer to me and I couldn't be happier! It took over the old Bath and Beyond lot. Spacious and lots of parking. Glad I don't have to drive all the way to the San Carlos location. Perfect for holiday shopping! One thing I will say though.. the layout of the store is overwhelming.. this goes for all HomeGood locations. I always have to walk 2 rounds just to make sure I didn't miss any aisles. HomeGoods is like TJ Maxx. They offer a similar mashup of home products and food products with similar price points. HomeGoods is offer some more elegant items like their decorative vases. The space is cramped pack with items. My item didn't have a tag on it. I recommend grabbing a similar branded item for the front staff to use to compare the price. The worker helping me had to look through the store for my giant carrot toy for dogs. She came back with an item that wasn't from the same brand. Save yourself the time and the workers the effort, bring a similar match to check out with you. I took home a GIANT Pet Lou Carrot with squeakers for dogs. It was on sale for $8. No tj maxx connected with this one. Large crocodile greets you at front door. Overall very orderly. Bright white ceilings Great place for European junk food for me - I mean for the children on Easter. Buy overpriced pillows and candles as impulse items. I like that. Lots of great prices on bulky furniture. Half off or even 2/3 off. I think bc people don't come here for that and bc delivery isn't integrated well like at dedicated furniture stores. I went after Thanksgiving with my sisters and I was impressed with all the homegoodies. This was my 1st time. High end things that you don't need and some that you do! It is not a Ross, it's better. So many beautiful things I wanted but didn't need like a giant alligator statue, oversized art books, and gold reindeer heads. But great for gifts and decorating for the season! It was so fun looking at everything we were there for at least an hour. The seasonal workers were helpful and the checker was upbeat. I recommend checking it out. I bought a couple items: Bluey cartoon wrapping paper and a cute pink wax bear light. Useful Novelty items to love.. read more

Well, if you're used to the layout of the typical HomeGoods, this is not it. It is an old bed Bath and beyond. Which also means that bathroom is in the front of the store not the back. I've been twice once on opening day and then I went back today. Opening day even in the afternoon was a complete zoo. All of the employees were incredibly nice welcoming asking if you needed help finding anything, etc. etc. but it was like a Costco. There were so many people at the New store you couldn't get up and down. You'd have to leave your basket somewhere in the store just to navigate What I think the store does better than all the other HomeGoods. For one they put all of the kitchen, miscellaneous items on one of the walls towards the back of the store the spoons, spatulas kind of the everything wall, which is typically at the end of about four or five aisles of kitchen stuff . Since so, many people shop on that wall, it always made that end of the aisles, congested, and a nightmare you don't have that worry at the store because no aisle ends into the wall. What they don't get right, but really don't have a choice is the shape of the store is a bed Bath and beyond so many of the aisles are super short in the kitchen and food department. While I was super excited, everything is Christmas with very little Thanksgiving. I didn't anticipate seeing any Halloween stuff since it open very close to Halloween, but the store is so brand new there aren't many deals or things to be found. It's like going into a department store right now if you know what I mean As with the Nordstrom rack and other stores across the street, this parking lot is going to be an absolute nightmare. I try to avoid both of these parking lots. They were not thawed out for high volume parking or traffic. read more

I was pretty excited with their opening this week. Half the store was decorated with Christmas items. So if you are looking for holiday decors, you're at the right place. If you want regular decor or household items, their selection of comforters, bedsheets, kitchen silverware and other household items were more on the plain side. I was hoping they had more selection of things but I think that might change after the holiday season. Since this is opening week, be patient with parking. I am writing to share an uncomfortable experience I had during my recent visit to one of your HomeGoods locations. When I was checking out, the cashier asked if I would like to make a donation. I politely declined, but he continued to insist even after I had already said no. This made me feel pressured and uncomfortable, especially at the end of a long day when I simply wanted to shop peacefully. I understand that stores often participate in charitable campaigns, but customers should never feel pushed or guilted into donating. If this happened to me, I imagine other customers may be experiencing the same thing. I hope the company can address this and ensure employees are not pressuring customers into donations. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable recommending HomeGoods to others, and I will be taking my business elsewhere for the time being. read more

Went to the new location in Daly City-Upper Serramonte-the previous location for Bed, Bath & Beyond. GREAT store and so glad I don't have to drive to San Carlos anymore! Polite staff, ample parking and SO many wonderful items to buy! They did a nice job with the design of the store, too! Will return for sure. Gave out large free bags on opening day. Thank you! Store is new, organized, well staffed, and bright. Per usual, all HomeGoods are busy; especially, since it's new and in Daly City next to Sprouts. There's lots of treasures if you're in the mood and have the patience. Currently, there's lots of holiday decorations and all things geared towards holiday entertainment. I'm impressed with the furniture selection and how many complete looks you can put together. I love it here since it's ALWAYS fashionable to save money on quality items. read more

Recently shopped at this store because I had received $350.00 gift certificate. When checking out the clerk said rather than using my gift cards why not apply for a credit card for Home Goods and I could save 10% on my purchase. Then he said I could use my gift cards to pay the bill when it came. THIS IS NOT TRUE--you can't use gift cards to pay your bill. I immediately cancelled the account and now I'm stuck with the gift cards and really don't want to shop there again because of being lied to. Be careful when the clerks try to get you to open an account. read more

This place is packed with stuff but the selection is all beautifully arranged. Bought a bad ass horse head statue here that I couldn't walk away from. Service was nice, and my horse head statue was 50% off compared to a less nice one on Amazon. I also got a sweet 7qt cast iron pot to cook osso buco in. Nice! Excellent value. Was so excited to have a homegoods open up near me, but their workers are so unbearable. They seemed to only hire teenagers who don't want to work. The cashiers only want to talk amongst themselves and will not even acknowledge you when ringing you up. Then they'll get mad that you're upset about being ignored. Hire better workers. This is enough to make me not want to come back. It's like a children's playground in there. read more

First time I paid a visit to the Daly City store this morning. There are lots of stuff to look through. The pasta section is immense as is the snacks/candy section. Salespeople were very helpful. Good prices. They've got a good size pet selection (beds, toys, etc.) mostly favoring dogs. They do have a few cat toys though. Will go back. read more
