I arrived at the store in a mild crisis state as I was unhappy with the vinyl flooring selections our interior designer has recently picked out for the renovation of our house built during the Edwardian period. She picked this out because vinyl was "cost-friendly," but I quickly found out many great engineered hardwood sections that were cheaper and nicer looking than vinyl with TJ's help. TJ was chill, nice, and talked to my fiancé and me for two hours, educating us on engineered hardwood flooring and helping us pick out almost 4,000 sq ft of 4 different types of flooring for four different units to help us maintain the original beauty of the Edwardian building and stay under budget. I paid a deposit months ago for a specific, HOA-approved carpet for a real estate listing. My sales rep, Rodney, took the payment, provided zero proactive communication for weeks, and sent a blanket "Will do!" when I submitted the final HOA approval. Only after I was forced to follow up after more than a week of silence did Rodney admit the warehouse "misplaced" the inventory. Rather than taking accountability for failing to order/secure the product on time, he attempted an unauthorized product swap--sending photos of a completely different alternative carpet and trying to force it onto my project without my consent. When confronted, Rodney scrambled, blamed the HOA, made excuses about warehouse inventory numbers, and admitted the original carpet would take weeks to arrive--confirming he spent weeks hiding severe delays rather than managing the order. THIS IS A DIRECT 24-HOUR NOTICE TO MANAGEMENT: I require store management to contact me directly within 24 hours to either: 1. Provide written confirmation of a firm, expedited delivery and installation date for the exact contracted carpet, OR 2. Process a 100% full refund of my deposit immediately so I can take my business to a professional vendor. If management fails to resolve this within 24 hours, I will be filing a formal credit card chargeback for unfulfilled goods/services and taking further steps to recover financial holding damages caused by these listing delays. The new baseboards they installed are about an inch taller than the baseboards throughout the rest of my apartment, making the mismatch very noticeable. They also didn't install the shoe molding/quarter round that are in the rest of my apartment. When I reached out, I spoke with Felix and Roselle, the store manager. They maintained that because the baseboard dimensions were listed in the contract I signed, they weren't responsible for the mistake. But that raises the question: if the dimensions were wrong, why were they included in the contract in the first place? Their team came out multiple times to take measurements, and I trusted the professionals to recommend materials that would match the existing baseboards in my home. I didn't realize I needed to verify that the specifications they selected were correct. They did offer to come back and replace the baseboards, but only if I paid for the labor and materials myself, even though I believe the incorrect baseboard size originated from their measurements and recommendations. No discount or goodwill adjustment was offered. What disappointed me most wasn't just the mismatch, it was the lack of accountability. Mistakes can happen, but I expected a company that stands behind its work to take some responsibility and work toward a fair solution. The flooring itself turned out beautifully, but based on my experience, I would strongly recommend reviewing every detail of your contract and specifications yourself rather than assuming the professionals have selected the correct materials for your project. read more

Awesome experience!! Walked in and was instantly greeted by Rodney. I was looking for a area rug for our downstairs game room. Rodney asked questions about the room, colors, and what styles did we like. He then showed me some options and we fell in love with a nice blue/white rug that was perfect for our game room. He made the whole ordering process easy. Super appreciative because I know zero about carpet/rugs. Also, came in a week later and ordered carpet for the rest of the house. Recently we had an issue due to water leakage and had to replace some of our hardwood floors. This is our second time coming here. We had such a wonderful experience the first time, with Shanna that we decided to come back again! Years ago we had our bedrooms done and it was so quick and easy and Shanna took care of EVERYTHING! This time we had the rest of our home done. Again, Shanna was extremely helpful and patient with us (we aren't great at making decisions). It's done and looks beautiful. The manufacturer of the engineered wood used for the rest of the apartment no longer made the color I could use to match so Rodney helped me hunt down my next best option. It took months to get tile flooring product (after being told when we ordered that it would take one month to get delivery) and the installation was a disaster! They arrived after the scheduled window, they did not clean up after their installation (a simple vacuum and wipe down should be expected) They under-estimated the amount of tile needed and now 3 months later we are still awaiting final installation of just a few pieces. It's been a headache and a hassle to say the least. And not once were we offered a discount or price reduction for the wasted time we spent on their poor installation. read more

I rarely write reviews, but thought that it was appropriate given the stellar service we received from Shanna and her team. We purchased SPC flooring for our kitchen remodel through Shanna and the whole experience was easy and seamless. Unfortunately, one of the boxes arrived with the tongue and grooves on one whole corner crushed. She was not working the day of the pickup, but one of her team members jumped in to put me at ease that a replacement would be ordered asap. There was great communication through the whole process to keep us up to date. Fast forward to today, Shanna came by to drop off the replacement box in San Bruno. We have 3 small kids and scheduling a sitter to do a run to the city is tough. She went above and beyond in terms of service and follow through. We had a challenging design issue at the heart of our recent kitchen reno--namely, finding new engineered wood planks that match the old softwood floor in the rest of our flat.
