I had originally used Chacon Flooring in 2016 to install hardwood flooring in one of my rental units in Potrero Hill. After enduring 5 different tenants, each with pets, since 2016, the floors held up extremely well but I thought that they could use a new buffing before I put the unit back on the market because they had recently incurred some water damage from a ceiling leak. Jaime came over the very next day after I had contacted him, and then rebuffed the floors the following day. The price was extremely reasonable. What was most surprising is the Jaime actually moved the kitchen appliances and to remove the accumulated debris under them, despite my suggestion that he need not bother to do this extra work. This is definitely a man who cares about his work: conscientious, efficient, reliable and most importantly, a skilled craftsman! read more

Chacon installed new cherry wood flooring for me in my condo. They did a wonderful job and were careful with the details. Jaime was really wonderful to work with, and Bryan who supervised the work did a great job of also making sure everything was put back the way I had it when I got home. They're incredibly trustworthy and dependable. Highly recommend. read more

Jaime's company did an excellent job installing marmoleum in our laundry room. His workers were professional and his lead person, Brian, was especially competent. We are really happy with the results! read more

The crew at Chacon Flooring did an excellent job cutting & binding four large area rugs. Jaime was much better to work with than one of the "Big Box" stores ... he knew exactly what I wanted. They were ready in a couple of weeks (versus 5-6 weeks quoted from other stores). read more

Sometimes, the customer isn't right. Jaime helped turn a very rough-looking floor into one that exceeded what I had requested. I had recently purchased a unit in a highrise condo building in San Francisco's East Cut neighborhood. I was renting a unit in the same building and was fixated on replicating the exact finish on the floor of the unit I had just purchased. Jaime and his team came recommended by the HOA since they had a lot of experience working with the floors in this particular condo building. Jaime took the time to carefully explain the constraints specific to the flooring in the building. He was extremely knowledgeable. Even after explaining the constraints, I was still determined to replicate the exact finish created by the original builder. After the work was completed, I compared the floors in the newly purchased unit against the floors in the unit I was renting, and they were quite different. Initially, I was unhappy with the result. Jaime and team had to put up with a grumpy customer for a couple of days, but I eventually recognized the error of my ways. I soon recognized that the new floors in the unit I had just purchased were actually much nicer than the floors in the unit I was renting. Jaime and team delivered a finish that was superior to the finish I had gotten used to. It was a 'glow-up.' After moving into the new unit and being back in the old unit to prepare it to hand back over to the owner, I have found myself thankful that we didn't replicate the flooring in the old unit. Jaime and crew are world-class in what they do. This was one of those 'trust the experts' scenarios. The customer isn't always right. I highly recommend Chacon Flooring to anyone looking for excellence in execution. read more

Had Jaime's team refinish old wood floor and also replaced some wood panels due to some previous water damage. 10months later, home infested with termites. Had a few termite specialists inspected the whole house, same conclusion that termites likely came from the new wood panels as that is the center of infestation :( very unfortunate. Otherwise, the floor looks great with the refinish. read more

Jaime Sr and Jaime Jr are a great team to work with. We had engineered wood plank flooring that was very badly damaged from the sun. They refinished the floor and brought it back to its natural color. They applied 3 coats of Waterbourne satin finish. The floors look incredible. They also pulled up old carpet and pad in the bedrooms. We bought the carpet from them. It's a beautiful carpet and they used a good synthetic fiber pad. Before the refinishing and carpet/pad install, the crew cover the blinds and drapes as well as the heat detectors. They were very nice and efficient. Brian was instrumental in providing the English communication. This is the 2nd job they have done for us. We highly recommend this company. Thank you, Jaime Sr and Jaime Jr read more

I contacted Chacon flooring again and had them do two more installations for me ,additional lLVP flooring and a complicated carpet installation. I have 32 stairs with a electric chair lift which required partial removal. They do their usually great job responding to calls, texts and keeping to the plan we made. They come on time, worked with my scheduling needs, sent me timely estimates and receipts. They do a great job, cleaned up the worksite and are very pleasant to deal with. I am continuing to recommend them to friends and family. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the service from Jaime and his crew. Jaime was very helpful in showing us samples at our place. When I couldn't decide we visited his store and looked at many more samples. We really wanted a higher quality since it's been 20 years since we moved in and likely just as much time before we do the whole home again. He let us borrow a few samples so we could see how they looked at different times of the day. Even though it took a while for the carpet to come in, Jaime was responsive to my husband's inquiries. It took just a couple of days to install and the crew was busy the whole time with moving the heavy furniture, pulling out the old and installing the new. They did a great job cleaning up as well. We had one issue after the install where one of the bathroom doors wouldn't close completely because of how plush the new carpet was at the threshold, but they came back immediately to fix it. I will definitely call them again when we need more work on our floors - hopefully I can get those hardwood areas refinished in the next year or so. It feels so good to walk on a brand new carpet. read more

I rarely ever write reviews, but Jaime / Chacon Flooring are so great that I really wanted to recognize them and promote their business. We contacted Jaime to find out what kind of floor the previous owner put in as we wanted to keep it when we renovated. Based off a receipt the agent sent us, Jaime was able to provide us with the information. Jaime is super responsive and helpful. We're finally ready to get the flooring and were able to handle all the details in 1 day over email - which we love. I also found their prices to be super reasonable and very competitive with online providers. Great experience, thanks so much! read more

Jaime did a great job coming in at a low bid and replacing a horrible worn-out 12 year old carpet with a engineered hardwood floor. He had me look at a selection of samples but once we took the final ones up to the actual condo the white oak was by far the best choice. His years of experience in my building, and the surrounding SOMA hood, means he has a firm grasp of the known issues here in San Francisco at various old and new addresses. Jaime and his crew: -pulled up the old carpet and padding while tightening the carpet left in place in the bedrooms. -most importantly, Jaime insisted on leveling the underlying cement slab with self-leveling material and then took the time to dry it over a weekend. -impressively he took the time to remove the baseboards so his crew could get an actuate tight fit with shims and the new floor. -put in a layer of cork for soundproofing with no attachment to the slab or the hardwood floor - per the code for my building. -laid in the floating hardwood flooring (with white ash backing), custom cut to fit all the sections, glued the tongue and groove fittings, installed new molding around two columns, reinstalled the baseboards and put in new wooden thresh-holds. -I even had him come back to fix a few things - at no additional charge. In the end it was a fantastic job of a floor my family will enjoy for years to come. read more

Jamie and Junior were great to deal with. We did a combination of installing new hardwood over new subfloor in part of the house and re-staining and refinishing the existing flooring to match the new install. After we picked a few stains, they created some samples so we could see how it would look in the space and were in great communication while finishing up the job right on schedule. They executed on all the details and the floors came out amazing. They went above and beyond when a (unrelated) cleaning service then destroyed our *brand new* floors days before our move in. Jamie was able get a team in to screen and resurface so we had minimal disruption with our moving schedule. I'm very happy with them and would use them again in the future. read more

Woohoo first review! I must say that having had a lot of experiences with flooring companies, jaime was amazing to work with. I called and needed a bid for some floors in an apartment for an employee. Jaime came out the next day right on time and had quality products to offer that were reasonably priced. We called him a week later after we found out we needed to replace an additional room of flooring and again he was out first thing next morning. Once we decided to go forward I called on a Saturday and his crew came out on tuesday and did a living room with carpet, and a bathroom and kitchen with linoleum. His crew got it all done in 6 and a half hours and I couldnt be more satisfied with the work. If you are looking for any flooring give Chacon a call first and check out what they have to offer. I will definitely be using them again read more

All COVID protocols were followed and during our one week project the team was always on time and so friendly . Communication was fantastic and they not only answered all my questions but got back to me very soon when we I called or texted . I have never seen a team work so hard and take such pride in their work and be so happy to do it! . Very reasonable prices and they use high quality materials. I highly recommend them. read more

We have used Chacon Flooring for two projects and could not be more pleased. Jaime is a great guy to work with - professional, delivers what he promises, provides options and asks questions to be sure he clearly understands the need and how best to address it. When we have another flooring project, we will call Chacon Flooring. read more

We had to replace the very worn original carpet (and a bit of Pergo); and chose to go with a combination of carpet and WPC vinyl planking. Chacon Flooring were recommended by a neighbor and we were not disappointed. From beginning to end Jaime, Junior, and their staff were a pleasure to work with. Their prices were reasonable, the products they showed us were precisely what we needed. Jaime was more than willing to provide whatever information we needed to get through our building's architectural committee. Once we got the approval to proceed they scheduled us far sooner than I had expected. They showed up when they said they would and finished faster than they had promised. All of the work was done very professionally. While I don't plan to replace the new flooring for a long time, if I needed additional work I'd call them back in a heartbeat and I would recommend them to anyone who asked for a referral. read more
