I showed up to their store on a Tuesday evening, and met Jim, and told him of my issue. He had whole thing done in 4 days! Timeline: * Tuesday evening - went to the store, met Jim, told him I needed carpets ASAP. * Wednesday morning - Jim himself came by to visit and take measurements * Wednesday afternoon - Jim texted me some pictures of their carpets they had in stock and emailed estimates. * Wednesday evening - I picked one of the in stock carpets and paid the deposit (50%). * Thursday - I gave a key to the unit to Jim. Jim committed to having carpets done early the following week. * Friday - Jim said a slot opened up on his installers schedule sooner, and he had them replace the carpets that day. Also they were actually cheaper than another quote I got from a flooring store, and similar to Home Depot. I had used Home Depot once before and I was not a fan of their installation quality (or honestly their scheduling), so was looking for someone else. BEWARE!! Quick to sell but when it comes to quality of work and install, it's makes regret getting carpet here. My carpet install was fine for about a week then it started to lift in some areas. I called multiple times only for them to tell me they will call me back. I simply wanted them to repair it. I can't stand walking on the carpet in my house because I fear it's going to fall apart. I visited the Geary Blvd showroom, looking for some carpet to have cut into a rug that fits my room. I don't know much about carpet, and Jim was so patient and knowledgable. I needed a replacement for an area rug that my kids had just plain worn out over the years. Demetri was excellent on the phone in asking all the right questions and a few I hadn't even considered. My father and his mother (my grandmother) had been buying flooring from this place since they first opened in the 70's. Kiss this family and 50 yrs of being customers goodbye. They installed the carpet incorrectly and it looks awful. Then, when it came time to pay them, Nick, the owner said that I needed to pay an extra $150.00 for a charge up since his company he buys carpet from raised prices. WTF? I never signed anything that said this. it was not mentioned in the estimate. Then, Nick called me and said if I did not pay the mark up that he was going to lien my house. This is not legal but I was very scared. He was threatening and I felt vulnerable. I gave in and paid the money but I'm warning you females out there...he is a chauvinistic major jerk and ***hole. He is lucky my husband died. This would have ended differently. I am telling everyone I know about this incident. I would not use them to carpet my dog's house! read more

Demetri was so easy to work with, no pressure and made some really good suggestions. Installation is still sloppy and damaging. Just found carpet glue on a door jamb, and they scratched up the freshly painted base boards and door frames everywhere. We had a minor disaster - a housemate moved out and left the carpet in her room damaged by pet urine. We tried everything we could to get rid of the horrible smell but ended up needing to replace the carpet in the room. (By the way - if you ever have this problem - just go straight to ripping up the carpet and padding, and paint the floor with Kilz or some other good quality sealant - nothing else will remove the smell - not enzymes, not Oxyclean, not vinegar and baking soday - once it's dried on it might as well be stinky Super-glue.) I met with Nick, who didn't bat an eyelash at the small job - he helped me pick out a carpet - very quickly, I might add, considering the huge selection - that was close to the original in color and quality, gave me a fair price, and did the job less than a week after our communication. Everyone I worked with - Nick, Guidio (who came out and did the measurements and gave us the estimate) and the gentlemen who actually did the work - was professional, kind, courteous and friendly. The new carpet looks beautiful - they did a great job! I am opening a new retail store located in the same block as these guys. I stopped in to get a quote on carpet and left with an appointment for installation the next morning. I was impressed with the helpful attitude of the guys with whom we interacted. They are knowledgeable but not pushy and let us make our decisions. In addition to the floor carpet, we put carpet on our walls. Since we needed to do that part ourselves, they were happy to just sell us the wall coverings and had the pieces cut to the exact size we needed. Last year when there's a big storm, 2 apartments in our building were water damaged and the carpets needed to be replaced. My husband checked several carpet companies and Carpet Contractors finally got his business. First of all, their price was at least 30% cheaper than the others in the area. Secondly, Jaleh was very nice and prompt to come to make the measurement. Some other companies could not come until the following week. Thirdly, she really gave professional advice on choice of carpets. She recommended the commercial grade which was thick enough to keep the apartment warm. Jaleh ended up won the business and the installers did a great job, fast and decent. Also, they cleaned up after their work, including removal of the soaky old carpets out of the building. Yes, they did show up a bit late but they have called ahead informing that they would be late. Jaleh's "neighbor" worker Nick is also a very nice and humorous guy.
