Three weeks ago, the FI team replaced the carpet on the second floor of our house. The whole process was incredibly smooth, from the choosing of the carpet to the installation. Monica made sure that we had many samples to bring home and made sure that we found a product that we liked and suited our budget. The crew was fantastic. They moved all the furniture very neatly and the installation was impeccable. After they were done, they put everything back where they found it and cleaned the area. Hikmet even took the time to open up the rolls of carpet a few days before in their store, so we wouldn't have to breathe as many fumes after the installation. We love our new carpet. FI Floorind did an awesome job from begining to end replacing the old bamboo flooring and carpet in our house with beautiful new engineered wood floors. We walked into their showroom on a Friday afternoon, took samples home, and Hikmet came over the same day to look at the house, give his advice, and create the quote. We were on a really tight schedule to complete the install before we moved in, and Hikmet and Monica committed to the dates and met it with a day to spare. They sent daily updates and photos of the work progress. Hikmet even removed the original asbestos VCT that was under the carpet. They also installed new baseboards throughout the house. Highly recommend Monica and Hikmet at FI Flooring and Design. Fantastic work and customer service throughout. Our project was for new hard wood floors for 2 floors and 2 stair cases in an old home. The home had multiple complications including different types of existing flooring (carpet, old wood floors, old parquet floors) and uneven subfloor due to age and warping. A few highlights: - worked with us to find materials that fit our picky requirements (low VOC, natural finish) from the wood to the glue - provided multiple options without prompting for this like custom stairs, custom heating vents, and fireplace hearth transitions in an old house - worked with and around multiple other contractors. This included us changing dates around on them multiple times, asking them to share the work space during ongoing construction with painters, carpenters, and electricians. They were incredibly accommodating and well regarded by all the other professionals on the site. - Coming back to address some minor items quickly and without trying to place blame or negotiate changes (fill some nails holes that we missed that we noticed a few days later, that sort of thing) We will come back to FI Flooring for any future projects we have. read more

After the company did my hardwood floor installation, I contracted with them to install luxury vinyl in my kitchen and bathroom which turned out beautifully, and just a few days ago, I had them install wall-to-wall carpeting in my master bedroom which also looks beautiful. Their business on Redwood Highway in San Rafael is easy to get to and you can park right outside the door which makes it a simple job to load and unload the samples you take home!
