This is not an easy restaurant to find. We drove past it 3 time and still couldn't find it. If you look on Google Maps they show a pic of it as a blue building. As it turns out. It's right behind the Sea Bird lodge sign and next to Chevron. Once you found it you can't miss it. From what we can see there is no signage on the restaurant with the name on it or we totally missed it. It's not a new restaurant. It's got that homey feel to it. I'm guessing it's a mom and pop shop, a small business. And we should support those local all businesses and not hit up Dennys if we can. We waked in at 7:08an in Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The place was quiet. One others gentleman was there. When we left a party of 3 were just settling in. They have a full menu two sided that they hand out upon entry that is laminated. You are welcome to sit anywhere. We chose a window seat in the front corner. The temperature was pleasant inside and I was able to shed my heavy jacket and was comfortable in my jeans and a light sweater. They have 2 whiteboards of additional specials. We got the bacon, cheese, and bacon omelet with a side of potato's and a biscuit. You have choices of toast, pancake, or biscuit. As for potatoes you could have gotten a potato patty instead. The servings were huge. We only ate half and were full. Now we have leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. The potatoes were real fresh potatoes. Some still had the sling on them. They were cooked on the griddle. I should have asked for mine extra crispy as I like crispy potatoes. They weren't salty or really seasoned at all so I added some salt and paired it with ketchup. Very tasty. The omelette was chuck full of crispy bacon and avocado , it could have used more cheese. The biscuit was light and flaky, but it lacked the buttery flavor. It was a true big biscuit that was home made. There was an array of jams and jellies to choose from and peanut butter. We chose apricot. Overall it was a good breakfast and I highly Reccomend this place if your hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast like ours didn't. It was also nice that we could walk over from our hotel. read more

Nice local spot to stop in and have a home style breakfast that's dog friendly with covered outdoor seating. I heard they were known for their biscuits and gravy so that's what I ordered, honestly wasn't anything special to me, although the biscuits themselves were pretty good. My kids ordered pancakes, they were very large and good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating but I felt like the wait for food was very long. read more

we went in at 8:30 on a Friday morning. There was one server there and the lobby was empty besides one guest and we got the most terrible service from that waitress. She didn't acknowledge us for saying thank you you welcome anything very rude brought us dirty silverware we asked for it to be exchanged. She just picked it up and walked away without saying I'm sorry or anything. Her attitude was terrible. The food was OK but her service and her attitude towards the customers poor poor poor. unless you are a local tourist service was absolutely the worst I've experienced. We've been to other cafés in the morning. We would not be returning to this one, and I will tell all my friends and colleagues and coworkers if you come down here do not go there at that time of day in that morning with that sever. read more

I come here now and again, no problems, and like the hometown vibe. It was lunch time and not too many tables occupied. Placed an order for soup to start and a sandwich. Both came at the same time and it took quite a while to be served. Soup was a VERY small cup for almost seven dollars, the sandwich was generous, both had good flavor. One server, but the place was only half full. Never checked on me, never asked if everything was OK, never offered a refill of my iced tea and finally had to catch her eye to get my check--I had 1/2 the sandwich and fries left to take and had to ask for a to-go box--at that point I was glad to leave. I enjoyed the steak sandwich not too long ago and thought it was excellent with a friendly server to boot. Will come back again sometime but this experience cooled my interest for now, hoping it was just an off day. read more

This locally owned restaurant was suggested to my friend and I. We were seated and given menus right away. It is a little small inside and they have I think two picnic benches outside for dining out there as well. They offered breakfast meals ranging from egg platters, french toast, waffles, pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches, huevos rancheros, and burrito. I chose the western omelette with a pancake. My friend chose the french toast combo. We waited about 15 minutes for food to arrive. my personal opinion on the omelette was that it was ok I did have to add extra seasoning on mine. The veggies and ham were largely chopped and I'm not too sure how I feel about it. The ham was a little cold as well. No seasoning on the potatoes so had to add that, which I think its pretty typical for most places anyways. I did order a side of sour cream to have with my omelette. I had a bite of my friends french toast and thought it tasted good, but my friend did not enjoy it. She stated it was "over battered and over cooked and had no flavor". I'm giving 3 stars because I just feel the whole experience was "ok". Our server was the normal friendly. I think there were only two servers and they both seemed busy. I paid $2.75 for a side of sour cream, which seems pretty extreme to me because I don't think I've ever paid that much for a side of anything before. We were told the biscuits and gravy was the star of the show, but neither of us had that so maybe I'd have try it if we ever came back. read more

After a busy work night last night I decided to let someone else cook breakfast and after a bit of shopping for necessities, I chose Homestyle Cafe. Cordelia has been a fixture in the culinary scene here for a long time and she is known for great food with a good presentation for a fair price. I was dying for a hamburger which was perfect, ask for the Montreal seasoning. The biscuits and gravy were superb but not too heavy, a testament to the chefs magic and the eggs cooked to perfection. This place is delicious! I'm not a big pancake person, but they looked good, so we had to try it. Hands down the best I've ever had! I want more! Super fluffy on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. Yummy!!!! Best chicken fried steak I've had. I loved the house potatoes, and the gravy was really good. It's made with bacon drippings, definitely house made! They did forget my toast, but everything was so good I didn't even care. I read a few complaints about the wait time. Ignore that! A nice and homey little diner/café. Good portions and reasonably priced. I ordered a vegetarian omelet with mushrooms, onions, and avocado with country potatoes. I mean, yeah it was okay. Basic diner food, not great but not bad. I don't eat bread or potatoes so maybe their pancakes/waffle/French toast/home fries are the way to go but I wouldn't know. It was a lazy Saturday morning at Fort Bragg and pretty cold so we sat inside. I don't even remember what I ordered now. I do remember they let me bring my own Starbucks inside which was nice of them. I remember thinking "This is okay. I'm glad I get something to eat." And that was the premise of my dining experience. On our way back home, we stopped here for breakfast. Such a great cafe! I could tell there were a few locals there, as well as out of towners. I LOVE that they leave the coffee carafes on the table!! After I was seated I was won over quickly by what coffee would you like light or dark brew then they brought me a carafe, perfect! Decided on something simple the French toast it was light fluffy coated with a perfect egg batter and served warm with WHIPPED butter. If you are a good greasy spoon pay attention to the details and the whipped butter is a must! They also offer maple or berry syrup. I'm honestly not much of a breakfast person, but my friend is, so here we went! I ordered a cup of coffee and the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Plus it's endless coffee, and our waitress def asked if I wanted more (though I didn't - I only need one cup of coffee a day haha). The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was really yummy - you could choose what bread you wanted, and I was so excited to hear I could actually choose biscuits among the other choices of sliced bread. As a biscuit sandwich, I loved it and ended up eating both biscuits that came with my order. A lot more than I was expecting, but I think it's because I asked for the biscuits which of course are smaller than slices of bread. You could choose between potatoes and fruit, and I chose the fruit which was yummy. Our waitress was very attentive and asked if I wanted my coffee topped off a couple times. My eldest got the Western omelet and really liked it. The wait staff was on top of things. Very attentive, despite it being busy on a Sunday late morning. This place is popular for a reason. A restaurant that reassures their customers that everything is sanitized, now that's a first. On top of that, our waitress was amazing. She had such a great personality, she was kind, and made us feel right at home. I had the veggie omelette with sautéed spinach, mushrooms, and onions, My omelette, potatoes and biscuit were excellent. The biscuits especially, the perfect recipe and perfectly baked. They're a must order. My brother and cousin had a different experience with their breakfast burrito and chicken fried steak with potato patty. She got our free drinks and then answered all our questions. The location is known for their biscuits and gravy per the waitress. I got the light breakfast and subbed out my potatoes for biscuit and gravy. My egg was perfect and the bacon...really was awesome! The waitress also suggested the chicken fried steak. Hubby decided to get the steak that came with egg and biscuit. He really liked the chicken fried steak and was super full from all the food. The presentation was great and the waitress was the best.
