Special: Berry French toast
Taylor O.

This is a perfect road side diner/cafe. I was just passing through on a road trip and decided to grab some breakfast. I tried one of their specials that day, which was berry French toast made with homemade bread and it hit the spot. It's a comfortable place to eat solo and the service was incredible. The staff made me feel so welcome and their positive energy set a great tone for my day. I highly recommend!

Cute little breakfast place with diverse menu items and fresh, organic and healthy ingredients! Friendly staff that take pride in their food, and they even have home made hot sauce for use and for sale!

cute lil diner. Came here to eat breakfast because they have alternatives to pork bacon. They offer several dishes that are organic as well as meat alternative s like turkey or chicken sausage or bacon. We ordered eggs pototoes toast and chicken sausage. i got the mushroom omelet with spinach avacado with potatoes. The omelet was jus ok. the shredded cheese was not melted inside. the toast had homade jam.,was really good! As well as the organic oj and lemonade. The waitress was really nice and very attentitve. I say it was just ok breakfast but if yoy definitely want organic vegan and alternatives to food. this is your place.

tempeh BLT

We've been here before but it was years ago. Thankfully, it was just as good as we remembered! The tempeh BLT was yummy as is their side salad (see photo). My partners' omelet was amazing! The service was great. We look forward to eating here again on our next visit.

Clam chowder- the best I've ever had!

Veggie omelette with vegan cheese

So thankful I found this place! I am extremely allergic to dairy and nuts and so hesitant to eat anywhere. The staff was very reassuring and made me feel comfortable. Their food is fresh and tasted delicious! Highly recommend for anyone with allergies! They are super accommodating with great vegan and gluten free options. Thank you Cafe One for the great experience! I had the veggie omelet with vegan cheese and their potatoes are cut fresh!

What a delightful spot to grab breakfast or lunch. When you walk into Cafe One you go back in time to the fun dinner experience. You'll see photos of the Lucy show and other cool oldies items. You can sit at a diner table with comfy chairs or at the diner counter with stools that have cushioned seats and backs and never worry there's a back room with more than enough seating. You'll find a favorite spot for each time you visit. The service is genuinely top notch. The friendly and attentive staff go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and taking care of. They offer a menu with a variety of favorites, plenty of favorites for us vegans too. This is a hidden gem that checks all the boxes for a memorable dining experience.

Honest food review is more like 3-3.5 stars. Nothing was bad, but it was all just okay. Servers were so friendly though! It's a nice atmosphere for sure, which made it a bummer that the food wasn't great. We came in for breakfast, and you want your diner potatoes to be delicious and your toast to be crisp. Everything was just so-so. I would probably skip it next time I'm in town.

Food is similar to Dennys. Very friendly staff. If trying to grab a quick bite easy but not the best quality in town.

Not pet friendly, unless you want to sit on the edge of the Highway. No umbrella or barriers. No water for pet.

It's right behind the Sea Bird lodge sign and next to Chevron. Once you found it you can't miss it. From what we can see there is no signage on the restaurant with the name on it or we totally missed it. It's not a new restaurant. It's got that homey feel to it. I'm guessing it's a mom and pop shop, a small business. And we should support those local all businesses and not hit up Dennys if we can. We waked in at 7:08an in Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The place was quiet. One others gentleman was there. When we left a party of 3 were just settling in. They have a full menu two sided that they hand out upon entry that is laminated. You are welcome to sit anywhere. We chose a window seat in the front corner. The temperature was pleasant inside and I was able to shed my heavy jacket and was comfortable in my jeans and a light sweater. They have 2 whiteboards of additional specials. We got the bacon, cheese, and bacon omelet with a side of potato's and a biscuit. You have choices of toast, pancake, or biscuit. As for potatoes you could have gotten a potato patty instead. The servings were huge. We only ate half and were full. Now we have leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. The potatoes were real fresh potatoes. Some still had the sling on them. They were cooked on the griddle. I should have asked for mine extra crispy as I like crispy potatoes. They weren't salty or really seasoned at all so I added some salt and paired it with ketchup. Very tasty. The omelette was chuck full of crispy bacon and avocado , it could have used more cheese. The biscuit was light and flaky, but it lacked the buttery flavor. It was a true big biscuit that was home made. There was an array of jams and jellies to choose from and peanut butter. We chose apricot. Overall it was a good breakfast and I highly Reccomend this place if your hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast like ours didn't. It was also nice that we could walk over from our hotel.

If you're hungry and are exploring the area around the shops and train may have better luck with your food choices than we did. We decided to share the fish and chips, clam chowder daily special and a piece of banana pie. The server overlooked us after we sat, but had a good sense of humor after I got her attention and we joked about it. After that the service between the two waitresses was spot on and friendly. We asked if the fish and chips could be made into have fish half shrimp, which they did. The food came out quickly and was hot, but the flavor of all the food from the fryer oil was way off. It tasted like burnt peanut oil, just gross. The fish was the only semi tasty item in my opinion. The soup was gritty and thick, and the banana pie had a bland fluffy stale tasting crust. Again, we didn't expect much from this deli but ya never know and our chance of a tasty snack was a fail. I'd give 4 stars for service and 1 star for food.

I was worried when I read and saw how close it was to the highway, but with the way its nestled into the hill, road noise is no problem. As for the fog horn, yes, it is noisy and annoying. But we were provided ear plugs and a box fan. Due to the excessive heat this year (and probably every year moving forward--thanks a lot consumerist culture and climate change), we were roasting the first night. No AC. (And I hope they never get it. More wasted energy.) Used the box fan the second night and it was perfect. During the day, opened the glass patio door and enjoyed the ocean breeze.
