We are vacationing in Albion CA and dropped in for breakfast with an amazing view and outstanding service by Cody!! Food is great and service greater. Ask for Huevos Ranchero "Cody" style. Highly recommend. Tell Cody that Aggie sent you!

Used to be a fan, but the quality has gone down significantly. The food is really gross and not safe to eat. The last time I was here, I started feeling ill by the time I was eating the entree. Then I VOMITED in the parking lot :(

Our server, Cody, was excellent. He knew the food menu and drink menu well. He was attentive and so friendly! The bus person, Legend, was so friendly and attentive as well! The relaxed atmosphere was nice, the music apropos. The alcoholic drinks were good, although the black one was a bit bitter. The fancy non alcoholic drink was very nice and the Shirley Temple was organic and good. We went expecting two menus - and found they only had taco Tuesdays on board. We ordered the various salads and they were scrumptious! The tacos, while the taste combo was nice, were a bit dry and the tortillas were very closed to over cooked - not quite burned. I would skip the tacos and focus on the salads. The desserts were so delicious! And they brought the birthday gal one with a candle. Definitely will go back, the attention to detail and tastes were worth it.

We went here in October on a perfect day. It is the most beautiful view from the restaurant. We were in awe as the sun set. The food was excellent and unique. We also loved the wine selection. Overall, though, what really made the difference was our waitress, Cory. She was attentive, gave great recommendations, and ensured we had a wonderful time. We were truly blown away. This is a must in mendocino!

Tried this with a friend after hearing great things, I wasn't disappointed. The upgrades done by Soul Community Planet (SCP) are phenomenal keeping the spirit of the original while fashioning it in their image. We were served by Kate who was amenable, knowledgeable and very professional. The views, like from most of the coast are fabulous. The Caprese salad, not pictured, is to die for. My friend loved the pasta and the lamb, fit for a king. SCP has become a welcome addition to the coast melding harmony with its surroundings while sticking to its mission.

You just can't beat the view. Four of us had a lovely dinner and most dishes (soup, salads, app, beef, fish, desserts) were enjoyed. A few glitches -- sea beans advertised in an entree were missing and not acknowledged, hummus was minimal but raw veggies were plenty -- but overall a delightful meal. I was surprised the menu was still summer-focused except for the butternut squash soup. Live music was great though it inhibited our conversation a bit. I'd say it's a vast improvement over the prior restaurant.

Fresh Burrata. Pillowy and delicate, yet decadent.

Service was prompt and friendly. The views are absolutely stunning. Will have to come back once it's warmer for the beautiful outdoor seating. Burrata with peas appetizer was excellent. Though I'd like to have more peas and sprouts. The scallops were amazing. Wonderful bouquet of flavors with perfectly cooked tender scallops.

    That view!

This place is worth coming to just for the view, but the food and service make this a must visit. Their mussels and chorizo are worth every penny and the seasonal cobbler a great finisher! The service is informal but very professional, nobody likes a stiff waiter and ours was anything but stiff.

Amazing view and service. Food was a bit pricy, but very good! The blueberry muffin is freshly made and had perfectly crispy buttery edges.

Scallops and mussels. Scallops were great, mussels were just okay.

This review is for dinner on a Thursday evening. Service 4…read moreFood 2-3 Atmosphere 3-4 We went to support our friend who was playing music for the diners. Previously we've walked through the restaurant to check it out but haven't eaten there...it always looked too "hotel-y" as far as an appealing vibe yet the views, of course, are lovely. And we were locals wanting to support our friend and the restaurant. Our server was sweet and attentive. I ordered a Grey Goose over ice with a twist....now at most bars, even in urban cities, that is not a martini, yet I was charged $14, which is the usual price for a mixed cocktail. Unfortunately, "with a twist" (lemon) came back with a lime twist and a lime slice. Boo. My burger ordered "medium" came back medium-rare to rare. Mind you, the place was not busy at all. The meat was of good quality which I appreciated, but still..it wasn't anywhere close to "medium". You can have fries or salad. $20. My partner's dish was pesto pasta with chicken....and it was swimming in oil. Cubed chicken...sadly the dish was mediocre with a hefty price of $35. The atmosphere is staid...somewhat empty on a week night. As mentioned, we went to support our musician friend....perhaps it's a bit more fun in the summer. And sunsets would be fabulous.

November 8, 2024…read more 5200 Restaurant is located on the coast at the Heritage House Resort. We (a party of 5) arrived for dinner at 5:00, right when they open, and we were able to get a table next to a window with an ocean view. You can't beat that, right? There is also a fireplace in the dining room, which adds to the ambiance. We were there on a Friday night, so there was a live pianist, which was a nice touch. I believe they have live music 3 times per week--check their website. Staff was friendly and attentive. The menu is not extensive, but there were plenty of items that caught my interest. I started with one of the night's specials, the Roasted Beet Salad ($16.00). It was visually stunning with its vibrant colors and incredibly delicious. For our main entree, my husband and I decided on the 10 oz grilled ribeye steak ($54.00). It came with scalloped potatoes and vegetables. We asked to split the entree, as we often do. We can no longer eat a big meal, especially at night, and we were traveling, so taking home leftovers wasn't really an option. After we placed our orders, the server came back and told us that the cook wouldn't split the order. She would bring us an extra plate, though, and we could split it ourselves. We even offered to pay extra for splitting, but no go. Many restaurants will split the entree and then add a "split charge fee", which suits us fine. But in this case, it would have been great if the server would have told us up front that they wouldn't split the entree. The ribeye dinner itself was okay. The meat had a fair amount of gristle, which made for a bit of toughness. The scalloped potatoes and vegetable accompaniments were fair, but not anything remarkable. There was barely a spoonful of vegetables. On another note, we brought our own wine, and we called ahead and were told the corkage fee was $20.00 per bottle. When we got the bill, the corkage fee was $25.00. Not a big deal, but we had two bottles of wine, so paid a $50 fee instead of the $40 we were expecting. Overall, it is a nice venue; and I will give it another try next time I'm in the area.

We had dinner at Petite Percebes/Good Bones on a trip to the Mendocino area in April…read more The service was pleasant and friendly, the space felt comfortable with both tables and couches (no live music at the time we visited), and everything we ate was delicious and nicely presented! Our favorites were: + Broiled oysters with bone marrow butter, Parmesan crema, and breadcrumb: although I'm not usually a huge fan of oysters, I did enjoy these particular ones! + Lemon cream pie with tangerine, lemon curd, brown butter graham, citrus marigold Chantilly: we split one slice of this pie, but I could've eaten a few more slices of the pie by myself (if my stomach had space left). Perfect ending to the meal. + Primavera panisse: crispy chickpea fritters topped with a variety of greens and flower petals. + Yuzu marigold kombucha (Wilder x Petite Percebes collaboration): this was a refreshing, lightly sweet complement to the heavier dishes of the meal. We also tried the cassoulet (which had roasted chicken thigh, Roundman's garlic sausage, pork belly, Heirloom beans - a heartier meaty dish); and the potato chowder with oyster mushrooms, spring greens, and wild nettle pistou (we loved the mushrooms in it). This spot is worth stopping by!

Loved visiting Good Bones! A hidden little gem among the coast…read more I visited on a Sunday morning with a small group of friends for a quick bite to eat before we headed off for a hike. Inside was huge! Giant bar, tons of tables for dining, along with a stage where it looked like they hosted live music! We ordered our meals up at the front counter and took a seat in the dining area. I ordered a Golden State Mighty Dry cider and their grilled cheese sandwich with added caramelized onions and mushrooms. We were the only people inside, but food came out quick. Everyone was a huge fan of their meals. I loved my sandwich, the bread was absolutely delicious. Also was a huge fan of those mushrooms they used! We ended up leaving with a fresh baked loaf of bread when we left too for home. Service was great, food was on point, and loved the vibe they had going. Would love to come back to see some music one of these days.

There was no way we were getting the kids out of the pool and into dry clothes before 8 when most restaurants in this town closed. So we decided to try Raven Vegan restaurant to-go eaten poolside. We ordered what I considered safe choices for kids (Flatbread and Ravioli) and they were great! The vegan cheese worked, kids got their fill and I was a happy mom because they were eating their vegetables. My husband got the crabless crab cakes and while the texture was different, I tasted crab in there. The highlight for me was the Pad Thai. Pad Thai is on my list of last meals and I've tried it everywhere. This version did not disappoint. In fact, it was THE tastiest Pad Thai I've ever had. Sweet, tangy, crunchy, slurpy, and umami. I could eat it everyday. Our stay at the Stanford Inn came with breakfast here also. My kiddos split a savory crepe and pancakes. They ate it all up. My husband had the Ranchero which was delicious! Who knew tofu scramble was so tasty?! I had the Portebello Benedict which was equally delicious, though next time I'd skip the tomato. It made things extra soggy. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
