This place knocked my socks off. The view was to die for, the drinks were delicious and the food slapped. Come for the ambiance, stay for the food. We had the shishito peppers which were crunchy and 1 out of 10 were spicy (great lemon aioli), the hangar steak, the lamb lollipops (more like lulu kebab) and the mussels (perfectly toasted sourdough included). Standouts were the mussels and shishitos, the mussels might have been the best I've had. Big fan of this place!

**vegetarian review** Such a beautiful place overlooking the cliff - perfect for sunsets! The menu had many vegetarian options which I appreciated and we got a lot to try. Interestingly - nettle featured a lot on the menu which was a new ingredient for me. I think the burrata was my favourite. Followed by the potatoes and onion toast. Everything was super fresh and well plated- little light on salt though. All in all - recommend it!

We are vacationing in Albion CA and dropped in for breakfast with an amazing view and outstanding service by Cody!! Food is great and service greater. Ask for Huevos Ranchero "Cody" style. Highly recommend. Tell Cody that Aggie sent you!

Used to be a fan, but the quality has gone down significantly. The food is really gross and not safe to eat. The last time I was here, I started feeling ill by the time I was eating the entree. Then I VOMITED in the parking lot :(

Our server, Cody, was excellent. He knew the food menu and drink menu well. He was attentive and so friendly! The bus person, Legend, was so friendly and attentive as well! The relaxed atmosphere was nice, the music apropos. The alcoholic drinks were good, although the black one was a bit bitter. The fancy non alcoholic drink was very nice and the Shirley Temple was organic and good. We went expecting two menus - and found they only had taco Tuesdays on board. We ordered the various salads and they were scrumptious! The tacos, while the taste combo was nice, were a bit dry and the tortillas were very closed to over cooked - not quite burned. I would skip the tacos and focus on the salads. The desserts were so delicious! And they brought the birthday gal one with a candle. Definitely will go back, the attention to detail and tastes were worth it.

We went here in October on a perfect day. It is the most beautiful view from the restaurant. We were in awe as the sun set. The food was excellent and unique. We also loved the wine selection. Overall, though, what really made the difference was our waitress, Cory. She was attentive, gave great recommendations, and ensured we had a wonderful time. We were truly blown away. This is a must in mendocino!

Tried this with a friend after hearing great things, I wasn't disappointed. The upgrades done by Soul Community Planet (SCP) are phenomenal keeping the spirit of the original while fashioning it in their image. We were served by Kate who was amenable, knowledgeable and very professional. The views, like from most of the coast are fabulous. The Caprese salad, not pictured, is to die for. My friend loved the pasta and the lamb, fit for a king. SCP has become a welcome addition to the coast melding harmony with its surroundings while sticking to its mission.

You just can't beat the view. Four of us had a lovely dinner and most dishes (soup, salads, app, beef, fish, desserts) were enjoyed. A few glitches -- sea beans advertised in an entree were missing and not acknowledged, hummus was minimal but raw veggies were plenty -- but overall a delightful meal. I was surprised the menu was still summer-focused except for the butternut squash soup. Live music was great though it inhibited our conversation a bit. I'd say it's a vast improvement over the prior restaurant.

Fresh Burrata. Pillowy and delicate, yet decadent.

Service was prompt and friendly. The views are absolutely stunning. Will have to come back once it's warmer for the beautiful outdoor seating. Burrata with peas appetizer was excellent. Though I'd like to have more peas and sprouts. The scallops were amazing. Wonderful bouquet of flavors with perfectly cooked tender scallops.

    That view!

This place is worth coming to just for the view, but the food and service make this a must visit. Their mussels and chorizo are worth every penny and the seasonal cobbler a great finisher! The service is informal but very professional, nobody likes a stiff waiter and ours was anything but stiff.

Amazing view and service. Food was a bit pricy, but very good! The blueberry muffin is freshly made and had perfectly crispy buttery edges.

Scallops and mussels. Scallops were great, mussels were just okay.

The decor is eclectic, which many interesting things displayed everywhere. On our first visit, we started with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder ($13). This was great! It was thick with clams and even passed my "spoon test", which is being able to support the spoon standing vertically in the soup without falling over. It passed the test due to the thick soup with lots of clams. (See photo). We each had the Chicken Pot Pie ($22) from the daily special menu. This was delicious and thick and topped by a puff-pastry like thick topping. They also make Irish Coffee ($11) that was perfect. Just as good as the Buena Vista Bar in San Francisco (where this cocktail was invented). On our second visit, two nights later, my wife had a French Dip sandwich with sweet potato french fries ($22). She found it enjoyable and very good. I had a Patty Melt ($22) which was delicious. They make an espresso martini ($14) that is delicious! On both visits, the service was quick and friendly. After a morning canoe down the Big River and those stairs, we turned into ravenously hungry people. We asked the gift shop lady for food recommendations. Without skipping a beat, she said: "Patterson's Pub! If you get there before 2:00 PM, you can get brunch!" Challenge accepted. We took our appetites straight to Mendocino's main drag. They had a tented patio in the sunny-but-stubbornly-windy Mendocino air, but we opted for the interior. Good choice. It has the ultimate "Authentic Irish Pub" starter pack: Cool and dark? Check. Crisp draft beers? Check. Full bar? Check. The SF Giants game playing on multiple screens? Check and check. We successfully beat the 2:00 PM brunch buzzer, and the specials menu looked to good to pass up! Lobster Wontons (Pub Special): Gone in a literal flash. Blink and you missed them. Crabcakes Benedict (Pub Special): Hands down, the best this diner has ever had. The hollandaise sauce (which they kindly served on the side per request) was a lemony deliciousness! The Comfort Food Crew: The rest of the party ordered clam chowder (Boston), garlic bread, and a fried cod sammy with thin-cut fries. All around lip-smacking! The Liquid Refreshment: Paired it all with a half-pint of Scrimshaw Pilsner (shoutout to local Fort Bragg brewing). It hit the spot and paired perfectly with the crabcakes benedict! The "Too Spicy" Drama: We did hit one minor speed bump. One of the dishes turned out to be a bit too spicy for one of our sensitive diners (not me). The waitstaff deserve a medal here. They went out of their way to try and "de-spice" the meal. While my companion's tastebuds were past the point of return, the staff's effort and sweetness were noticed and much appreciated! . Excellent customer service. The Verdict: A wonderful, perfect meal for a weekend getaway in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. We will absolutely be back. Let this be a lesson to you all: always ask a local!

Previously we've walked through the restaurant to check it out but haven't eaten there...it always looked too "hotel-y" as far as an appealing vibe yet the views, of course, are lovely. And we were locals wanting to support our friend and the restaurant. Our server was sweet and attentive. I ordered a Grey Goose over ice with a twist....now at most bars, even in urban cities, that is not a martini, yet I was charged $14, which is the usual price for a mixed cocktail. Unfortunately, "with a twist" (lemon) came back with a lime twist and a lime slice. Boo. My burger ordered "medium" came back medium-rare to rare. Mind you, the place was not busy at all. The meat was of good quality which I appreciated, but still..it wasn't anywhere close to "medium". You can have fries or salad. $20. My partner's dish was pesto pasta with chicken....and it was swimming in oil. Cubed chicken...sadly the dish was mediocre with a hefty price of $35. The atmosphere is staid...somewhat empty on a week night. As mentioned, we went to support our musician friend....perhaps it's a bit more fun in the summer. And sunsets would be fabulous.
