Had a romantic birthday dinner w/ my spouse. Friday night 7:30 reservations. Chose to sit inside after initially sitting in their heated outside patio area which had live music too. The menu had so many things that I wanted to order, but eventually we ordered Oyster Rockerfeller (which was massive) and Artichoke Bruschetta. Both were delicious. For entrees we got the Chicken Piccata and the Scallop Risotto. Once again; both were delicious and the portions were huge. We were both stuffed; but we got a Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert to go. I walked up as a solo diner and sat at a small table in the bar area. Recommend making reservations if you're more than 1 person. Service was good! You could tell it was a little busy and hectic but I wasn't in a rush. Food had great taste! I'm picky on my carbonara- this was a little garlic heavy and you can tell they didn't incorporate the egg properly (had some chunks of egg when it should be smooth), but overall was very happy! The flavor was good (I don't mind some extra garlic), pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. My server recommended the limoncello mascarpone cake and I'm so glad I went with it! Not overly sweet, light subtle flavors. Cake was deliciously soft and pillowy. Oh and I did start with a cup of minestrone- DELICIOUS! I almost ordered another cup. The four of us came in for a Thursday dinner. We ordered Linguini Viareggio (2), Veal Marsala, and Spaghetti wi/Marinara. All of us really enjoyed our food. The prices seemed high for the pasta dishes, but since they were so well prepared we were OK with that. Portions were huge! Service was a little bit erratic. Next the Beet salad, this is a huge salad and our server split it beautifully three ways for our table. A good fresh mix of greens with beets and goat cheese. A nice vinagerette drizzle. Flavorful and fresh. For my entree the Veal Marsala, with mash, and a medley of sauteed veggies of squash, broccoli and carrots. An absolutely beautiful cut of veal, cooked to prefection covered in sauteed mushrooms and served over a nice mash with a rich marsala sauce. This was a great choice for dinner. Came here for dinner while vacationing in Fort Bragg. While searching for restaurants pre-trip I came across a Yelp review raving about this spot so I figured why not give it a try? I had heard most food in the area was just okay, and was excited to see some high praise. After much contemplation over the vast menu, I decided on the spaghetti carbonara and my mom the veal marsala. We enjoyed the fresh complimentary bread while waiting for our food, which took about 30 minutes to come up, and felt like a lifetime since we were so hungry. At least they kept the bread coming while we waited. Both meals were pretty good portions. The spaghetti carbonara was good, though not the best I've had, I still enjoyed it and ate every bite (only because we were leaving the next day and didn't have a place for leftovers). The veal was a little tough, but the Marsala sauce and the potatoes that came with the meal were both great. Our server was friendly and eager to answer any questions about the menu. We made reservations on Yelp the evening we planned to go, and it's good we did because the restaurant became pretty full! It seemed to be a good mixture of locals in for a date night and families on vacation. Overall I'd say this was definitely one of the better meals we had in Fort Bragg, but it was a little expensive for what you got. read more

Let me start by saying that I am not a person to write downer reviews, but there are some things that are expected of a restaurant when you are eating there. We visited Cucina Verona while traveling to the Mendocino area last weekend. My husband called and made reservation for my birthday dinner, and was told that they do dessert on the house as a perk for birthdays. Our host was also our server and she seemed to be very curt but provided ok service during the meal. The food however totally surpassed our expectations. We had the house bread (warm focaccia), I ordered the seafood linguini for dinner and my husband order the meat pizza (we asked if we could do mushrooms on half, our server refused impolitely). Everything we tasted was 10/10, and huge portions. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and it was one of the bests I have had. When the check arrived, we were charged for the dessert, which we requested be taken off per our conversation. The server was very rude and stormed off w the check and came back and handed us a check which was completely comped, and said "just so you know, we don't do this". We were pretty shocked and had to hunt down a different server to get the bill adjusted and pay. They apologized for our server's behavior repeatedly. I am not sure if the host/server was just having a bad day, or didn't understand what we meant, but it definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. Just an example of how "service" is a big part of a good restaurant experience. That being said, as far as the food goes, I will highly recommend this place. read more

They had live music, and overall we liked the ambiance. However, our server was pretty unfriendly. It seemed like she didn't want to be there, and we heard her periodically arguing with her coworkers. For appetizers, the three of us shared the Artichoke Heart Bruschetta and Fig and Arugula Salad. I liked the salad more than the Bruschetta, but both were decent. For my entree, I chose the Cannelloni Alla Marinara and my friends got the Pesto Primavera Gnocchi and Butternut Squash Lasagna. I appreciated the large potion size of the Cannelloni and the flavors were good. However, the pasta was very overcooked, so the dish really didn't keep its shape, and had an overall mushy texture. The Pesto Primavera Gnocchi and Butternut Squash Lasagna were both just okay - definitely not bad, but not the most flavorful. However, the cost of these items was pretty unjustified. The Cannelloni and Lasagna were $28 each, and the Gnocchi was $32. Not a terrible meal, but probably wouldn't return. read more

Cities nearby lack diversity, with service also being negatively impacted. But this spot in Fort Bragg stands out in a very positive way! My party and I arrived near closing which, to be honest, is not the nicest thing to do - we acknowledge that. But staff treated us just fine regardless. Nothing but kind and accommodating service. 10/10 here if it was possible. The restaurant itself makes you feel very ease as the decor/art is fun and the environment is overall warm. About the food: the Pesto Pizza on gf crust was DELICIOUS. It might have been the best gluten-free pizza I've ever tasted. Whenever I order pizza, I add salt and/or Parmesan cheese, crushed pepper, etc. - didn't need to do that here! Will absolutely be back. read more
