Dinner with friends here while in town recently. We had reservations for 7:30 and were greeted while walking in and seated within the same moment. Heavy wood interior, a smaller place is intimate and cozy. Our server was kind and professional, brought our menus while greeting us, and took drink orders to get us going. Returning with our drinks, got our evenings entrees placed with no order pad for notes. I went with the Halibut over rice, and it was very good to excellent, a nice presentation and great flavors. A solid choice for a great meal if you like fresh seafood. My party tried a variety of dishes and each said their's was delicious as well. 4.5 Stars All in all a solid choice for a great meal rounded up for the staff 01196

NY Steak w/ 3-Cheese Mashed Potatoes and Veggies

Came here Wednesday evening, and it wasn't busy at all. We got sat by the windows which was nice, but there was a big plant between our table and another which obstructed your view and in the way of you need to get by. Our waitress was nice, but was gone quite a bit for how busy it wasn't. I got the NY Steak which was tender and juicy, but no flavor. The mashed potatoes were good, but still lumpy. And the veggies were what they were. My wife liked her fish & chips, but thought the batter was just okay. The fries did what they did, and the coleslaw was alright. This place is nice, but could use some adjustments in a couple areas. Overall, I'd probably go back to try another dish.

We had plenty of shrimp and fish&chips on this weekend and decided to get something a little different. Husband chose Mayan Fusion - what a great decision! The margaritas were nice and strong and the food was just delicious. Everything was brought out with a smile, our reservation was on time though the place was hopping, the ceviche was my favorite - oh I love ceviche, and this was lovely with the avocado on top. Everything was soo good - we couldn't eat it all so we brought the leftovers to the hotel with us and about an hour later we ate those, too! Oh, and the panucho! Order that! It was so good! We had so much food, yet I'm sad that I didn't notice the cioppino on the menu! Well, I guess we will have to return! YUM!

Very amazing food, great ambiance, and lovely service. We were looking of restaurants that didn't offer too many creamy/fried/carby options and were happy with the menu here! Loved the steak, chips, and panucho. Flavors and textures were on point!

Service was absolutely AMAZING!! The staff were so sweet, friendly and personable. Our waiter made jokes and made sure we were taken care of at all times. They had live music and it really set the mood. The restaurant is pretty small but it's cozy. They also have beautiful art all around the room. Their drinks and calamari were top tier. Definitely delicious. As for the Clam Linguini, i was a bit disappointed. The sauce was too watery and lacked flavor. I wouldn't order it again. I highly recommend trying the spicy mayan chocolate ice cream. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate ice cream but this was amazing. It was rich and sweet but not too sweet. Definitely worth trying !

Though it took a while to get seated and the service was generally meh, the food defiantly beat my expectations. I got a thai burrito and aside from it having a bit too much rice, it was _so_ good and so different and unexpected. My wife liked her burrito bean bowl as well, and the white corn elote we started with was really good too.

I came here by myself for dinner. I was a little road weary after driving 4.5 hours. I was seated right away. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the fish tacos. They were tasty.. they are served open faced on small corn tortillas with a side of black beans and spanish rice. I ordered my fish beer battered but was a little disappointed that the batter wasn't as puffy and crunchy as I was expecting. It was still a nice meal.

Outstanding service by our friendly, helpful and accommodating . Food was outstanding! Fried Calamari was tasty, not over cooked nor rubbery. The Panucho and Chili Rellano were delicious and full of flavor. Again, the service was impeccable. It's was quiet enough that you could converse and have a good conversation without yelling. The decor adds to ambiance.

Ordered ceviche, tamales, and a wet burrito and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients.

I love eating out on the patio. I'm particularly fond of their chicken chimichanga, although I never had a bad meal there.

Waiter was nervous, and did a fine job. Was quick to attend, and got our drinks and soup right out to us. Had to wait for the meals, but that's ok. Had the rock cod sandwich with Caesar salad and one of us had the garlic clams and linguine. Loaded with clams (in their shells, not canned) and the flavor was great. A salad would have been a nice touch with it, but it was a good meal. The sandwiches were ok. The lettuce for it was wilted from being under a heat lamp. The sauce with it lacked flavor, we were expecting a chipotle spicier sauce. It appeared to be a thousand island tartar sauce creation. It was good though. The Caesar was doused in dressing, tasted good and the anchovies were a nice touch. Being a local, it would be nice to tell out of towners to dine there. Standard fare, prices about the same as anywhere else here. The view is the highlight, watching the boats, sea lions and other wildlife is well worth the price.

We arrived around 4:30 or so and seated in the main dining room with a window seat. Our server offered us fresh bread and butter, (not would you like to order) which we were charged $3. Pretty sneaky. Ok, place was recently renovated so not a surprise. We ordered Halibut fish and chips. Menu said it came with a salad. We decided to share the dish and ordered a side salad as well. We did enjoy the Harbor view as we waited for our food. First off the temp of the fish was slightly above warm. They advertise the breading as "beer battered" then rolled in panko. There was nothing light and airy or flavorful about the breading, matter of fact there was no flavor at all. My sister equated the fish to being pulled out of the freezer and tossed into the fryer. The salad was an average salad, nothing memorable about the taste. We also realized there was no Chips to "Fish and chips". When we asked our server she said we didn't get "chips" because we had salad. That was not the description of the dish on the menu but I wasn't going to press the matter because We didn't need the extra tasteless calories. The only thing that made this meal was the great view, not the food. The service was average.

I started with the creamy chicken croquetas, what a pity there were only three. I could have eaten a dozen. I also had the crispy asparagus and jamon "cigarillos" with manchego and a harissa aioli. Pure bliss. The roasted beets with walnuts and idazabal cheese were delicious and very generous, a reminder that one shouldn't go to a tapas restaurant alone! So take a friend or two and go.

The food though was disappointing. The most interesting item was the clams that came in a cava broth with garlic and parsley. They brought some toasted hearty bread to soak up the sauce. The baby kale salad was also nice with shaved fennel and manchego. The other three dishes were both off and a bit weird. The cauliflower came with bacon, which was good, and sweet dates; the dates were an odd addition and they stuck to your teeth. The calamari, was prepared well - it wasn't chewy - but it just had an off flavor, or at least one I haven't experienced before. Same too for the octopus. This was a much larger portion than typical - two tentacles, plus potatoes and olives. The octopus though was rather mealy. Small Spanish red wine list; only four. Tried two and neither were our favorites. The 1970s-80s classic rock soundtrack was an odd choice for background music.

We recently relocated to Sonoma county (The Sea Ranch) from Silicon Valley (Menlo Park) and have had some nice meals along the coast since we moved here FT (Harbor House, Ledford House etc) but this little spot is a real gem. Friends recommended it so we had a double date night and filled the table with all sorts of goodies. Great evening and food. Highly recommended. Small, simply situated on a very quiet street in Point Arena. A few doors down from a decent locally sourced weed shop (also worth a visit BTW), and a local fish monger (Point Arena is a commercial fishing port) and solid local bakery (Pelican), this excellent restaurant serves up a variety of rotating locally sourced small plates and yakatori style grilled meats and veggies as well as some raw fish and stews as well. Highlights were the sashimi, the fish roe on rice, the grilled pork belly, the grilled cabbage salad, the tempura shrooms and the fried chicken oysters as well as the grilled chicken thighs. All excellent. They have a nice selection of saki's as well (we had 2 small bottles to share $20/each) and to close the meal we had the Matcha ice cream with passion fruit ! All in for 4 people including tax and tip $250...which in today's world seemed very fair to me. Great meal and great vibe overall. Chef/owners apparently have strong training and work experience in Japanese settings and fine dining restaurants- which may explain why this place does very simple things so well... Make a reservation on the weekends otherwise you'll miss out or end up eating at the bar. There are certainly worse things to do than that...however, trust me. Visit here and thank me later. At one point we were talking about Rintaro in SF, and the chef overheard us--she mentioned he knew the folks there and spoke highly of them.
