Chilaquilas with 1/2 green 1/2 red sauce

We got gas nearby and stopped here for Breakfast. Food is homemade & made to order --delicious! i had the Huevos a la Mexicana with potatoes & my hubby ordered the chilaquilis with half green & half red saice. Both saices were homemade and tasted great. Really liked the green sauce. Heovos rancheros ordered alot and looked yummy too. Will definately come back again when passing through!

The food was amazing! The presentation of the business is so cozy and welcoming. The people running the place give great service and answers your questions. The chef gets creative with the plate presentations.

We almost hate to review this place because it is a hidden gem for us. We have breakfast here every day they are open when we come to Fort Bragg

You order first than sit down. Food was excellent, the 1/2 & 1/2 red & green chile. The huevos rancheros were tasty but a bit spicy. Breakfast burrito was a good size and good! Fast and good service and food! 5 plates $95.00

After a disappointing first vacation meal in Fort Bragg, I was excited to see a Mexican breakfast spot with such great ratings. Sadly though, it was just another disappointing Fort Bragg meal. I ordered the huevos con chorizo and my mom the pancakes with eggs and bacon. Everything was pretty bland and needed the addition of salt. Once I added salt to my meal it was much more enjoyable. The scramble was a little over cooked, but the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, and I liked the texture of the beans. My mom's pancakes had no flavor at all. When she said that, I was skeptical and thought that maybe they were just a little bland, but no, they really tasted like nothing. No sweetness whatsoever. The syrup helped, but you shouldn't have to smother a pancake in syrup for it to have flavor. We arrived fairly early in the morning and there was only one group ahead of us waiting for their food. The food took a while to come out, and it didn't come out at the same time. We had a good 5 minute wait between entrees arriving. The prices here were better than most places in the area, not over priced and pretty reasonable for the portions. Just wish the food had more flavor.

Yup, it's delicious! Probably would not have come in here if it wasn't for the Yelp reviews and I'm so glad I did. It was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had and they have fresh fruit smoothies for $6!!!! Also the homemade green salsa will but hair on your chest in a good way.

Good food and very affordable. Loved their breakfast burrito and swapped the beans for mixed veggies and it was delicious. My 18month old liked it too! I also got a latte that I like a lot. My husband got the berry crepe and enjoyed it as well. Great place to bring your family.

Instead of our usual spot, we hit up Cafe Jaavy for a Saturday breakfast. Both the breakfast burrito and my breakfast were delightful. Great deal for the price.

I love a Mexican breakfast! Their blended espresso was one of the very best I've ever had! I ordered Huevos Rancheros, but got Juevos Rancheros Con Chorizo. I don't eat meat, so my husband got that portion. Still very good! Simple, fresh food made to order.

    Verde chilaquiles

Came for breakfast and it was just what we wanted!!! Ordered the chilaquiles verdes with scrambled eggs, FRESHLY squeezed orange juice and a chorizo breakfast burrito. It was good prices for GREAT food. It's a small and cozy restaurant. You order first at the front then find a spot. Service was good, no complaints.

A very basic but solid meal for a reasonable price. Walk up, order, pay and (tip). Find a table that's been cleaned. Wait a reasonable amount of time for your food. Coffee refills brought round. Cream and sugar on the table. They clean and wipe the tables as fast as folks leave. Absolutely nothing remarkable but it's 100% exactly what you would expect. Doesn't look like much, inside or out but it's clean and everyone was pleasant.

    Huevos con chorizo

Food was extremely yummy. Forgot to take pictures of the chilaquiles ( I got a mix of red and green) that were Suuuuuper good. The smoothies were also amazing. Best smoothie I've had in a while. I got the Javvy Tropical with no chile

We decided to eat breakfast here because they have tables outside. (We have 3 dogs) We took a bench out front not a problem. The owner said that as long as the dogs stay in the stroller we could eat inside. This made our day (it was cold outside). I love that small town community feeling. The owner, who was on the premise totally made us feel at home and welcomed the dogs. The waitress seemed to know most of the regulars. I came here looking for the biscuits and gravy. The pictures looked great. Also got a side of ham. My wife ordered a ham and cheese omelette. Her's came out stuffed with ham. I was kinda surprised considering the price of meat. But definitely a deal for price. Mine came with a plate of biscuits covered in gravy. And a nice slice of fried ham. I wish I could give them 6 stars it was the highlight of my trip to fort Bragg

It's right behind the Sea Bird lodge sign and next to Chevron. Once you found it you can't miss it. From what we can see there is no signage on the restaurant with the name on it or we totally missed it. It's not a new restaurant. It's got that homey feel to it. I'm guessing it's a mom and pop shop, a small business. And we should support those local all businesses and not hit up Dennys if we can. We waked in at 7:08an in Wednesday, May 6, 2026. The place was quiet. One others gentleman was there. When we left a party of 3 were just settling in. They have a full menu two sided that they hand out upon entry that is laminated. You are welcome to sit anywhere. We chose a window seat in the front corner. The temperature was pleasant inside and I was able to shed my heavy jacket and was comfortable in my jeans and a light sweater. They have 2 whiteboards of additional specials. We got the bacon, cheese, and bacon omelet with a side of potato's and a biscuit. You have choices of toast, pancake, or biscuit. As for potatoes you could have gotten a potato patty instead. The servings were huge. We only ate half and were full. Now we have leftovers for tomorrow's breakfast. The potatoes were real fresh potatoes. Some still had the sling on them. They were cooked on the griddle. I should have asked for mine extra crispy as I like crispy potatoes. They weren't salty or really seasoned at all so I added some salt and paired it with ketchup. Very tasty. The omelette was chuck full of crispy bacon and avocado , it could have used more cheese. The biscuit was light and flaky, but it lacked the buttery flavor. It was a true big biscuit that was home made. There was an array of jams and jellies to choose from and peanut butter. We chose apricot. Overall it was a good breakfast and I highly Reccomend this place if your hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast like ours didn't. It was also nice that we could walk over from our hotel.

We loved the atmosphere which they have live music playing! Our server was very kind and gave us recommendations. We were able to split and share a Cesar salad and they gave two plates to share which was kind instead of one big plate and we appreciated that. I give 4/5 stars for the quality of the food only because I felt the spaghetti noodles were a little salty along with the sauce being salty. I love love love spaghetti and this was the first time I've been to an Italian restaurant and felt something was salty because I'm never one to complain. It could have been an off day but from the time we ordered to the actual dinner entrees to come took more than 20 minutes and it wasn't too crowded. Also, we ordered cannolis and the shell didn't seem crunchy/fresh but the flavor was there and the texture of the ricotta was smooth! For a couple who ordered 2 appetizers , two main entrees, one bottle of red wine , and two cannolis to share, we spent about 200 which was a little bit pricier than we usual experience at a typical Italian restaurant so just a heads up. Otherwise, this is a good place for fine dining in the area with nice staff and good portion food

We were in the mood for pasta/italian. Okay....I wasn't…read moregoing to write a review this time because small towns and local restaurants need to survive so I didn't take any photos. I was just expecting decent. But I think what's unsettling is the price point so here is what we thought so you can make your own decision. I had a starter, the PAN SEARED DAY BOAT SCALLOPS. With this dish you get 3 scallops. I imagined typical-sized scallops but these were super small, about the size of a quarter (coin). The sauce and fennel salad tasted fine but for price I was imagining bigger. I think these were $24. The scallops were not that "fresh off the boat" taste, but edible. For price, I would say $18 at most. To be fair. The pasta with marinara was decent, but for boxed pasta and most likely canned sauce, $30 is a bit much to ask. We Asked for extra Parmesan cheese, instead of freshly shredded at the table, it came in a dish. That's more about being an Italian restaurant than cost. But to far, $20-$22, with fresh Parmesan! Not $30. We also ordered a mixed green salad, which was more like a side salad for 1. Again overpriced. The waiter said it was enough for 2 but it's not that big! Maybe 1 person eats and the 2nd person gets 2 bites. We did like the dressing. So in the end, the food was just okay (not fresh) but what made it all hard to swallow was the price point for quality ratio. Big city prices. $100, for 2. ;a plate of pasta, a starter, 1 salad, & 2 glasses of wine).
