Now that I have looked back I think that I may have been a bit harsh, I will admit I haven't been to Sunrise Market since I graduated from elementary school back in 1994 so this review may be way dated but hopefully when someone ever does another review the people reading these reviews will see how things could have changed for the better or worse. Now, onto the review. I paid daily pilgrimages to this store when I attended Wallace Elementary that was a block away. This was the go to place for all the children who went to school at Wallace. To us when we were children this store was a Mecca. It had almost everything a child could want, some of the things that I used to buy from the store was: Ok Soda, Bubble Yum Soda, Crystal Clear Pepsi, Candy Cigars, Candy Cigarettes, Green River, Surge, Jolt, Big Red, Giant Pixy Sticks just to name a few items. The only thing that the store really didn't offer was video game rentals and vhs rentals. Back in the mid 80's video and game rentals were a major boom. The candy and soda wasn't the only thing I remember fondly about this store. For some reason this store was the only one in the area that sold Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles magazines, back in the 80's they were popular. Along with the magazines they sold Ninja Turtles trading cards. I got most of my collection from that store. Fast forward to today, haven't gone to the store in 20+ years but I've heard that it's changed drastically. The only things I know for sure is that the store has been painted a few times. The store used to be red, when it was people oddly called it the "Pink" store, then it was actually painted pink and now it's been painted in a Seahawks theme. Maybe one of these days I'll pay another visit.

It's very small, and doesn't have easy access. But it isn't a bad station. It's just incredibly hard to navigate. Once inside, it's pretty large. In terms of size AND selection. They've probably got any food or beverage you're looking for. You're also not gonna feel cramped looking for it. It has such great service 24/7. Even this one cashier that's been there since I can remember. Super nice, and fast. He knows what he's doing. It's in a pretty good location, easy access into the parking lot. Which, is kinda small too. But not as small as the actual pumps. Overall, nobody is gonna be dissatisfied with the quality and service here. As long as they don't let the immediate anger get to you, when you first arrive at the pumps.

Joe is working on finalizing some exhibit areas and will have a lot more on display in another week or two. Joe (museum curator) along with his wife Diana are experts on Mt St Helens and have a deep knowledge about the local community and how it was impacted (and still is!) by the events of May 18, 1980. I'm not into Sasquatch stuff, but there is a lot of that here also, and Joe is super knowledgeable in that field as well. Well worth a worth the stop! Allow 2 hours or so. Free admission, but if you had a great time and learned a lot, like I did, donations are suggested and appreciated.

They had an all-gendered single bathroom and easy parking lot out front. The people who worked here were extremely friendly. It was a homey spot. We ordered our sandwiches in the back. I loved my very filling reuben. There was a lot of seating available inside. I was really craving some fresh apple juice and ended up taking one of their gallons home. I'd highly recommend stopping here.
