I was in Fred Meyer today, trying to get a $500 Apple Card and the lady in customer service Told me that I could not get a $500 gift card. Apple Card is too much money. $500 plus another 500 that is $1000. And she said to me, we cannot sell them to you because it was uncalled for. I said I am not a scammer so what are you thinking? This Fred Meyer is huge, biggest I've ever seen. It's a shame there's so many awful things about it. To start, NEVER buy any of the plants. The whole store has root rot. The pharmacy is the worst. It's not like this area is known for good customer service but WOW, it's like a requirement that you be exceptionally rude in order to work here. They act like it's customers fault they hate their job and will take out their bad mood on you every time. I had been with Fred meyer for years but finally had to switch because I was tired of some grump not filling my meds and acting like the Dr never sent the refill. The amount of times I had to call my Dr to have them resend prescriptions was insane. I know it wasn't the Drs fault because it happened with multiple Drs offices and even my vet. for the last two weeks or maybe even three I've gotten organic blueberries and I had to throw at least 50% away. I'm asking for a refund for the 50%. I've had to throw away. I eat blueberries every day and I'm not completely totally picky but I cannot eat mushy blueberries so I need you to refund 50% and I'm hoping I get a better two boxes this week the boxes I picked up at Walmart were perfect nice and crisp and fresh! Ordered a red velvet birthday cake. Picked the cake up on 2-12 for the birthday party on 2-13. Upon cutting it, I noticed it was not a red velvet cake but a regular chocolate cake. I was upset but it was too late to do anything about it. This was the worst cake I have ever had! It was extremely dry and the frosting tasted awful! I figure they forgot to make the cake that was ordered and grabbed one that had been sitting in the cooler for a few days or the freezer. Or the person that baked the cake shouldn't be working in the bakery. I won't order from this bakery again. read more

I've shopped at FMs in Washington and Oregon and this Longview WA location is by far the worse. The aisles are crowded with vendors and the FM employees shopping for the pick up people and are often partially blocked by displays. The produce is terrible, Plan on throwing half of what you pay for away. The pharmacy is understaffed frequently and has one person that is unbelievably rude. The drive though is a complete joke. You can find a lot of different things, clothes, garden, hardware, in this store and I guess that's why I keep going there but the price you pay is often downright unfair. You can save a few dollars buying gas there with the "earned points" but you know where its coming from. read more

Pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Whoever answered the phone each time I have called has been the rudest person I have had the displeasure of speaking with. I get that maybe the caller before me was difficult but deal with but take it out on the rest of your customers. They told l me that my prescription can't be filled because the insurance company will only cover the name brand not the generic. I call my insurance company and my insurance company said Fred Meyer already put in and processed for the Advair. I called Fred Meyer and she admits that yes they went ahead and submitted the claim even though they didn't have the prescription - because they would have it in a few days. So rather than try to get approval for the generic they just.... I don't know maybe that's not dishonest but to me you shouldn't submit reimbursement for a prescription you're not able to fill. So I can't even get the prescription until they actually get it in stock since they've already submitted the claim. Overall the worst experience I've had having to call them several times because for some reason even though they got two of the four prescriptions my provider sent over at the same time the other two disappeared. My provider had to send them three times. If my local pharmacy wasn't down I wouldn't be using Fred Meyer. I can assure you if my local pharmacy is still down next month I will find someone else to fill them I will not use them ever again. read more

Fred Meyers pharmacy is a joke they are so rude to customers as well as the doctors office. I am moving all my medication to another pharmacy. I have had nothings but trouble with this place. I've been to this Fred Meyer several times and everyone is nice, there is plenty of variety of product I find that a bunch of the groceries are at a lower cost with the store brand name items but other items such as apparel is a lot more expensive. People at the pharmacy are really nice there was a wait, they definitely seem busy. I came to get my Covid shot this time and I was the only one waiting. I definitely will shop here for the store brand name items but probably not anything else. read more

I was speaking to the manager about how I will not patronize this store during contract negotiations with the union representing the employees...and during the conversation the manager, Teresa (sp?), hung up the telephone. I will never return to this store...instead I will patronize Winco for canned and dry goods, and a local butcher shop for my meats. And, I will most likely save money! read more
