Great place to stop for Fuel, Cooper's Chicken, and Funnels. I was working in Longview and asked my workmate where the best gas station food was, he looked at me very strangely. Anyway, I didn't need to gorge on hot deli case gas station food, but I wanted to know if any of them had chicken. Baker's was it. A nice little general store----they have friendly workers, good, clean food, and loads of variety items. Great food. Great customer service, always friendly and smiling . See the old timers hanging out here drinking coffee and bsing, that's how you know your in the right spot. Gas is over priced, and getting propane is like pulling teeth, but that's the only downfall to this station. They have a wide selection of hardware and supplies, and even have a fresh produce section. Saves me the hassle of running into town just to get one bolt or a head of lettuce . My mother worked at bakers over 25 years ago and I am thankful they are still here. read more

If you are driving through Longview Washington on Ocean Beach Hwy and you are hungry for some chicken strips and jojo's then this is the place that will more than satisfy your hunger. The chicken strips are the best I have had from a store type deli. A little spicy and hot. The jojo's are just as good with a little spice. Ask for some ranch to go with both. I go here like once a week I live close by good place for something quick to eat their chicken strip and Jojo fries aka potato wedges are bomb. This store also has everything Some vegetables, dairy products, dog accessories, a huge hardware section. Who needs a big box store when you have Baker's Corner?! Seriously. They have a surprising amount of inventory, and they always have what I need. It may look small but Baker's Corner packs a punch, storing inventory all the way up to the ceiling in some rows, and employing a staff that knows EXACTLY what is where. Who needs to look at 10 or 20 of something in a big box store, and sweat over how to choose from a ridiculous number of choices, when Baker's Corner has the 3 best available, at competitive prices, AND they give you good service picking out what you want? This is the kind of place that makes you happy you live nearby. Besides for never steering me in the wrong direction supplies, the service is impeccable. They remember your name, they are ridiculously attentive and I always walk away feeling extremely lucky that I have Baker's corner in my neighborhood. All that and they have the general food stuff that a general small grocery store has... Their deli rocks with freshest selection of some of the best greasy stuff you can wrap your mouth around. What a great convenience store! My daughter loved the expansive candy aisle with many candies that you don't see in most places. Deli, with fresh burgers, chicken pieces or strips, breakfast burrito, and soda fountain. They also sell locally grown produce, too! You can gas up your everyday vehicle on your way into town or on your way to the beach, your boat for a day out fishing, or your motorcycle when you feel the need for a fresh breeze to clear your head from whatever troubles you may have. Need a fishing license, bring your cash and ID and you can get that while getting snacks for your day out on the river. This place has the BEST customer service that I have ever experienced, anywhere! Ask ANYONE who works in this store, they will take the time and SHOW you where the item is in the store, not just point you in the general area like most of the big box stores. Tuesday taco at 3 for less than 4 bucks; Thursday's meatloaf is a meal for two or two days meal for one; and their Friday's clam chowder is home made with lots of clams and not overloaded with salt. read more
