After many years of shopping here, this experience has convinced me that I won't be shopping here again. We're in the middle of a home remodel, and it all started when we purchased a dishwasher in-store at the beginning of the month. We scheduled delivery for July 2. A short time later, our fairly new refrigerator unexpectedly stopped working. In a panic, we had to order a replacement online. Before placing the order, we confirmed through chat that everything would be fine. Instead, our dishwasher order was bundled with the refrigerator order, and both were rescheduled for delivery on June 30, 2026. Two days later, we received a notification that another dishwasher was being delivered. It turned out the original in-store order had never been canceled, so we were charged for two dishwashers. We had to refuse delivery, make multiple trips to the store, and spend time getting the duplicate purchase refunded. It was an unnecessary hassle during an already stressful remodel. On top of that, we were dealing with a hectic holiday schedule and family events. Once we had time to really look at the new refrigerator, we noticed the doors weren't aligned, there was a scratch on it, and it began displaying a "High Temp" warning. We had already lost all of our food when our previous refrigerator failed--which wasn't your fault--but now we're facing the possibility of losing another fully stocked refrigerator because the replacement isn't working properly. When I contacted customer support through chat, I was told I had missed the return window by just a few hours--not days, but hours. There was no flexibility or understanding, despite everything that had happened with the duplicate dishwasher order and all the issues surrounding this purchase. I know this isn't the most expensive refrigerator you sell, but it certainly wasn't cheap. I expected better quality and, more importantly, better customer service. This entire experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth. All I was asking for was a little grace and understanding. Instead, I was met with rigid policies and poor handling of a situation that was already frustrating enough. Please do better. WN62907270 is the order number. read more

Went in the other day to get some lumber and some tile the lumber I needed was in an upper rack asked an employee if they could get some help to get the rack down went down to the tile department got some tile went back 20 minutes later, the lumber hadn't even touched it was nobody around another employee and got no response. Left and went to Lowe's. The employees there pretty lazy another time in there went and asked where the shopping carts were because it was raining and the employee said they were in the parking lot unbelievable. read more

Was accosted at self checkout by a staff member invading my personal space without a mask, insisting on touching and scanning my items, and refused to stop after being told to twice. She then lied and said it was store policy. I asked for a manager, to which she REFUSED until I demanded one repeatedly. The managed confirmed no such policy existed and acknowledged there was a serious consent issue. I abandoned the sale over this incident, and have since purchased for less from another retailer. read more

I love Home Depot. Compared to Lowe's it's heaven. While sometimes it's hard to find someone to help, it's nearly impossible at Lowe's. And Lowe's is now charging for paint sticks when you buy paint. Can we get any cheaper?? (I'm sure we can, let's just not though). Home Depot is almost always cheaper than Lowe's, too. I'll say the plants might be a bit better at Lowe's, but probably depends on the day. read more

The Longview, WA Home Depot has VERY helpful employees in Kaden and Issac, from locating, selecting, purchasing, and loading heavy materials into my vehicle. They both have gone above and beyond. It is unfortunate that when I tried to leave positive feedback on the Home Depot website, I could not find, even under Help, how to leave a review. I love this store, I'm remodeling my own home, slowly, I'm in this location a few times a week for various things; paint, lumber, light fixtures, doors. I've had to special order (doors, blinds) and it's been a breeze. Even when an item is a few days late, the customer service makes up for it. It's not just this location, HD, as a whole, hasn't let me down. read more

As a US military veteran, they have made it harder and harder to get ANY discount there, I was told today that the veterans discount items are mostly up to the store manager, well they now have it so almost every construction item from lumber to drywall to tools and electrical is NOT eligible for discount, that leaves cleaning and light bulbs right? Pretty much anything that you would go to Home Depot for isnt discountable. I just might have to start shopping at Lowes. read more

They always go over and beyond at this Home Depot. There was a lawnmower we really wanted and even though it said it was in stock, it wasn't they gave me a HUGE discount. They also have excellent customer service for their cashiers. The floor workers are great too just wish they were easier to find. We will always give our money here vs the other store. As long as they don't change. We also have used their rental trucks many times to move new furniture as we don't have a truck and that was also a great experience at a great price. read more

Disappointed multiple times for multiple reasons. Customer satisfaction is not a priority here. They promise merchandise on a certain day and do not follow through. They do not call to notify you of a delay. I spoke to Several managers today about this current problem and got no apology the solution they offered was in a couple days someone will call you to set up delivery some time next week. (It's already been a week). I canceled the order and am going to Lowe's. She happily canceled it for me. They don't care about your business. No customer service from managers. Their pride just lost them a big sale. As a business owner myself I would be mortified to learn that my manager refunded money to someone so they could make the exact purchase with my competitor. This problem could have been solved with basic customer service and respect. read more

So I was shopping for A Christmas tree they had for sale in their add came into the store to ask about it said it's not in store but they could order and I would get it after Christmas this was a add that just came out. Didn't want to try to get me another one at a comparable price nothing NO help at all . She really didn't care to help me at all I drove all the way there and left empty handed ruined my day . A great kid helped me with a large load and walked me out to my truck and then helped me load it and tie it down . I tried to give him a tip and he would not take it . I called the manager to thank him and he said there not allowed to take tips. Thank you for the good service home depot and I will be back again thank you . read more

Ordered a new lawnmower online. Waited, waited,waited to pick it up. Finally the day comes. We call from the social distancing appropriate parking space and wait briefly for them to bring it out. Two 20 something employees come out without face masks (while I'm wearing mine cause you-know pandemic). It just got awkward, insulting & stupid from there. Get the thing home. Make sure everything is in the box and wait for the next day off to mow. Two days later, it starts up great, goes for five seconds, makes a weird noise and dies. Won't restart and the motor is frozen. HUGE waste of money, time & energy! Now I have to go back into an unsafe environment to return $400 piece-of-crap lawnmower. Lesson learned. read more

Everytime I have come in and in need of help finding an item, I have received help from the employees as well as for possible solutions. This review is for Sarah. The other day I received an item i had been waiting for over a week for. i opened it and was about to set it up, and one of the stakes was missing. i looked all over for it, called the main customer line and was on hold for 20 minutes just to be hung up on and sent over to a survey. that was frustrating. So i called the local one in longview and they said to bring in the item and will help me to look for something similar. So i did, and Sarah was so kind, calming, and problem solving. She even recruited another employee on the floor to help. In the end, there wasn't a stake that was going to work for the candy cane item i had. I was bummed and the day was not going well for me to begin with. Then Sarah said she would honor the price for the candy cane decor i had for another one they had in the store. I was shocked, cause i couldn't afford those to begin with and they were really cool. I know they are just holiday candy canes, but this has been my first year in a house in a long while and first time decorating the outside as it brings me joy, for my daughter and for anyone who drives by. Sarah boosted my joy meter back up and i will forever be thinking of her every time i watch the candy canes light up. It will remind me to pass the joy forward and when things start to become grim. Thank you Sarah! you've given me a great gift this holiday season and for every season here on. read more

Hands down the worst HD in my experience. For reference, I use HD frequently as a vendor for many of our supplies used in my employment, all over Washington state and Oregon. Longview HD is absolutely without question the worst location in terms of (lack of) service personnel. As of today, I've made two trips for window coverings, each without success. I've gone to HD because I need them trimmed to size. Might as well have been shopping in a ghost town. Other departments seemed to have personnel, but not the one I was needing help in. When I replaced the blinds in my rental last year, I had the same experience at this location. I ended up buying from the Vancouver HD near my office on that occasion (because they needed trimmed to size). Good place to go however, if you know what you want and where it's located. The most frustrating part of describing my experiences here is the lack of adjectives available to adequately describe how COMPLETELY TERRIBLE the service is. Home Depot no longer gives discounts to all disabled combat vets. I was refused yesterday because my card does not have the phase "service connected" on it even though it does have the phrase "purple heart" for my 2 purple hearts. Duh, you can not get a non service connected purple heart! There simply is no such thing. Many vets like me obtained service connected disability status well after receiving our ID cards. The VA does not automatically issue a new ID card if a vet's disability status is awarded. I don't brag about my status, I wish I didn't have the problems that brought my status about. And I'll be damned if I'm going to get a new card just to please Home Depot. Lowe's accepts my card as is and I have a permanent military discount with them. See ya later Home Depot. read more

This store is a total joke . You get no help handling 4x8 plywood . Ya and i am not talking two sheets more like 26 . Looking for metal shelf brackets asked four employees before i found them took about twenty minutes . They are not all located in same place . They carry fence stain in vancouver but not in longview . You order it and they get it from manufacture which takes ten days rather than pull from other stores . The longview store doesnt carry alot items they have at other stores plus lowes gives 10 percent military discount home depot doesnt i am done with these clowns . customer service and satisfaction is not what you from find from this store read more

Went to customer service to pick up an online order. I had confirmation paperwork, emails and a text message from Home Depot all stating my item was on site employee A simply stated she couldn't find it after hardly looking. Another employee B found it right away. I was using a gift card to pay and employee A again said there was $0 when I also had paperwork showing my balance, when I suggested one of us call to check the balance she "didn't have the number" so I had to look it up online while deciding to just leave and pay cash as soon as she pressed the ENTER key on her keypad my gift card went through with the appropriate amount I had on the card. She then refused to bag my items. I suggest going to Lowes any time you have the choice. read more

Super upset after renting a paint sprayer and upon returning it I was charged a $100 cleaning fee for a few additional specks of paint on the outside of the cover, maybe you should cover that like the hose if your that worried about it, I will NEVER rent anything from Home Depot again! read more

This review goes out to the Assistant Manager, Todd. I was out running around in yesterday's LOUSY weather, trying to pull the holiday things together for my mother. I needed a toggle switch for her Christmas lights because it's too difficult, with her arthritis, to constantly plug things in. I called Lowes since I was out that way but all they had was a floor toggle switch that one steps on to turn the tree lights on and off. I was hoping for something hand held, so I thought I remembered seeing such a thing at Home Depot when I was there two nights ago buying a remote dimmer switch. So I called. I hit "0" to go to the store operator and described what I wanted. I was then transferred to the Garden department, where this speech challenged male answered the phone. He spoke like his mouth was full of jujubees....I could barely understand him. Anyway, I repeated my request and he, without hesitation, replied.."no..we don't got 'em". I asked if he checked. He hadn't. I shared with him that I was in the store 2 nights ago and that I swore I saw them... then asked if he could please physically walk over and check. He said.."hold on, let me check the computer for the box"... whaaaaaaaaaat? I thought he put me on hold but quickly realized he transferred me to a phone extension with a voicemail box. I was frustrated. I called back. A woman answered. I asked her if I could please speak with the manager. She told me the manager wasn't there. {long pause}...I asked her if there was an acting manager in charge that evening? She then said.."oh .. yes.. that's Todd..let me get him"..{face palm}... Geezus, I'm calling a retail store...I shouldn't have to turn it into an interrogation to get some help. Todd picked up the line and was very helpful. He found exactly what I was looking for, asked me if I would like it in white or black and then had it waiting for me at Customer Service. Upon viewing the packaging, it was clearly a seasonal holiday item. Funny how it magically appeared in multiples...AND DIFFERENT COLORS.... when only minutes ago, the first guy told me that they didn't have any. I had the impression that only idiots worked at Home Depot...thanks to Todd... I realize that they only have two of them. Will I shop at Home Depot again? Sure! Todd redeemed my faith. :) read more

I was referred by customer service to DT TV ,in Longview, to repair my Maytag dishwasher, bought in January 2012 from Home Depot. I spent $338.00 on parts, the dishwasher still does not work, dishwasher is now in garage. DT TV will not refund money or return calls from us. They sold me carpet on May 22, 2016.. After 5 weeks and two cancellations they could not install before my renters moved in on July 1. Their installer stood me up on June 30th when they said they would install. Todd the Assistant Manager of Home Depot said he was sorry but couldn't help me because it wasn't an "in store" issue even though I bought the carpet and installation "in store", and used their installers. Had to buy carpet and emergency install the afternoon of the 30th so my renters could move in on July 1. This cost me an additional $1000.00 because Home Depot could not follow through with their commitment to me as a customer. Take caution when they tell you they can install in two weeks. They are using an installer called Romanoff which is the worst company we have ever dealt with. They actually even called me on the 30th and told me they were on their way but still never showed up and then would not answer their phone. I expected something better than this from Home Depot. Home Depot did not give me any kind of in store credit or offer anything to me. They did give my money back after I cancelled the carpet. read more
