My last review was over 9 years ago?! I come in here several times a week, due to living about a block or two away. I HAVE to update this! Let's get started with their newest addition: their expanded hot food section in the back. Leonardi's and the bakery are obviously on the front and side respectively. But in the back, used to only be rotisserie chicken. Now they have several varieties of chicken, potato wedges, corn dogs and pizza sticks, all hot and cheap ready to consume! They'll typically carry everything you could possibly be looking for, and they'll typically have it the cheapest of any store in the county. They'll usually have most new stuff pretty quickly, occasionally on release day. You shouldn't have any serious employee or service issues. Anyone that mentions lines, yes there can be lines...it's an extremely popular store! Also, it being the cheapest prices, and one of few 24 hour places of any type in town...means you may see some interesting people. It's got an atmosphere sort of similar to maybe Costco, if nothing was in bulk and the building was smaller, and the store was an obviously employee owned store. Also, the parking lot is pretty big. But the surrounding stores in the plaza aren't super popular, so even if WinCo's lot is packed, you should have no problem parking. At the end of the day, I just have to walk across two crosswalks and I'm here. (It's so close that I walk for exercise.) I am a regular, multiple times a week grabbing groceries or even snacks, and now I'll be regularly getting their new cheap hot meal as previously mentioned and shown in the photos. While nothing is outstanding, it's not getting a bad rating because I wouldn't come as often if it was truly horrible. read more

Everything is fresh. Not so at other stores. People of all ages work there, and are willing to run to the back of the store for something I did not find. read more

It always sucks when I get here and forget to pay with a card. If you go to the self-checkout and pay with cash, half the time the machine gobbles up your money and doesn't register some of the quarters/bills. It just takes the money. The employees are always annoyed when you ask them to give you back the amount the machine stole, probably cause they have to do it a lot. This has been going on for at least half a year, and it's happened to everyone in my family at least once. The management is well aware of the problem, but fixing it would mean getting new machines and besides, the store's getting free money out of it since most customers don't have time to argue with the employees over a couple bucks. Anyways, just remember not to pay with cash at the self-checkout kiosks at this place. I go here because it's conveniently located for me, open 24 hours, and the prices are generally decent. My children and I had an absolute horrible experience last night with Anna the self checkout clerk. I made the mistake of trying through self checkout with 15 items (I was not aware that there was a 10 item limit.) Anna became unreasonabley angry and in a very aggressive tone lashed out at me. She instructed me to go stand in the only open checkout lane with a line of people and wouldn't let me use the self scan. There were 6 kiosk open and no line in self checkout. I was treated like that over 5 extra items. We're officially as of today no longer shopping the longview location a family. read more

WinCo here has higher prices on many items than other WinCo stores in WA. I buy as little as possible here. Vegetables, fruit and even canned goods are very expensive here. You have to know what prices are elsewhere to not be disappointed when you find it down the street (Fred Meyer, Safeway, Grocery Outlet) for FAR less money. Bulk is more expensive than it ever used to be ridiculously so. Walnuts, sunflower seeds, dried fruits almost 1.5-4 times higher than even just a few months ago. I wait until I travel to Vancouver or Portland to get great prices. Spices are ordinary - not great ones I used to find (e.g., cardomom, catnip). I buy online now or at specialty stores. read more

This store is terrible. I've never seen moldy pineapples before out for sale. And when I told the staff about it they just shrugged and basically said it was someone else's problem. The staff at this store says that about everything too. If you want to make a complaint they can't tell you who to speak with. It is as if the store has no management at all. Its pretty obvious to tell too. The last straw for me was they have completely stopped selling the tea I like and replaced it with an inferior more expensive product. I asked for who I could give some feedback to about this and again the worthless staff just go, "uh.. I dunno the vendor" "Who is that? How can I contact them." I normally love Winco stores. I love the variety, I love the price and the products are good. During normal times the stars would jump to two more. However, times now aren't what they have been. With the governor's mandate about all employees wearing masks covering nose and mouth to protect each other and customers, it's been interesting to see what establishments comply. Winco mostly complies but there are a few employees who don't. Manager seems to allow some to wear their mask just to cover their mouth but the worst one was the one at self checkout. She had the most interaction with customers and her mask was down to her chin! It didn't just slip. That's where she was wearing it! This woman was not being protective and not in compliance with the state mandate. Cannot recommend shopping here until the virus is gone! read more

I have been shopping here for years. Recently for last several months they have been overcharging. I am the type that dies the math as I add things to my cart. For example my latest round I did the math and came to $100 they charged me $118.00. Last month they tried overcharging me by $50. read more

Went for late night snacks with my boyfriend, as we're looking at food to make and take home we had found black mold on their meats and sushi has been sitting out for over a day which if you don't know raw fish can easily go bad after 24 hours and is at risk for food poisoning. I have made a complaint about the sushi sitting out in the past after having food poisoning. read more

A good selection of many different types of groceries, a wonderful bin section with flours and legumes and rice, etc. etc. (so you can buy just as much as you need.) They have a big produce section, including an organic section. I think the prices are usually very competitive and usually lower, compared to other markets for the produce, as well as everything else in the store. This is an employee-owned corporation and so the employees have incentive in being excellent at customer service and in doing a great job. read more

If you are looking to stretch your food budget dollars this is the place. The Deli prices are the best in town. The bakery makes a great sourdough french bread we always buy on every shopping trip. Fresh donuts, cakes and pies and the produce dept is huge. If you are planning a dinner party for a crowd be sure to ask for a butcher if you don't find what you need. They are very accommodating and the pricing is great. I used to work in the food industry in Private Label brands and I can attest that their private label products are very good. I don't hesitate to buy their labelled products. The bulk food section is impressive and they always have seasonal items. The check-out lines look long at times but they mover rather quickly. WinCo Foods - Grocery Near Me - Longview, Washington

I've been to the store several times and I have to admit I do really like the products at a discounted price. I was however discouraged because there were so many people at this grocery store without wearing masks while the other grocery stores in the city were definitely enforcing mask wearing. I love all the bins 12 different kinds of rice 20 different kinds of seeds and nuts you could even get brownie mix in a bucket or pancake mix in a bucket they had many spices and spice jars you can put your spices in. I like the idea of however much you want to buy you can buy the bucket to fit the amount you want to buy instead of having to buy the box at a certain amount of ounces. It was definitely a great place for anybody who's looking to buy in bulk. The store is really big and has a lot of product to offer the public. The store was clean and all of the staff was courteous and professional. read more

Was in Winco earlier trying to use my Tribal Voucher to pick up the stuff I could from the voucher. When I got to the checkout the cashier wasn't too familiar with voucher so she called the lead guy over who asked for my "tribal" ID. I offered to show him the picture of my Washington State Driver License...nope he wanted my "Tribal" ID. I asked for the manager he started saying that he Was above him. I told him to get the store manager. Store manager says nooo... I have to provide "Tribal" ID. To make a long story short I ended up waking out after giving him a few choice words. My Issue is there is no where on the voucher that states ANY kind of ID is even required read more

I have to give one star, went into the deli about 6:45pm Lovely young lady with multi color hair,piercing and beautiful tattoos. However her hair met only covered her bun, leaving her side ringlets dangling over the deli food. I'm pretty sure this is not OCHA regulations. Shopping for groceries on the Northern Oregon Coast is a dismal experience. It is like being trapped in an abusive relationship that you can't escape from. We need groceries and are forced to choose between either the local gacked out markets, Safeway, or Fred Meyer..... all of which are overpriced, limited in variety, and many times have products of sub-par quality. I love WinCo!!! 24/7 shopping, low prices, a huge selection, great deli and take out options....it sets the standard fro grocery shopping for me. It is sad that we have to make the trip to Longview, WA from Astoria, OR to get the best deals on groceries. This location is very clean, large, well organized, comfortable, and has many specials and everyday low prices. Employees are always friendly, courteous, and eager to assist when needed. My only complaint about this particular location is the layout of the parking lot and low availability of ADA Parking Spaces compared to other businesses. It can be frustrating to find parking here and navigate around, but 80 percent of the issue is due to idiots who stop and wait in front of the store (clearly marked as being prohibited), Ignorant Parents who can't prevent life forms from spilling out from their baby-barfers that let the little darlings dash around the parking lot in a dangerous manner, Elderly drivers who really shouldn't be operating anything that is powered by more energy than a hearing aid battery, Yuptards in their over-grown SUV's, and Ass-Clowns in RV's. The aforementioned hazards aren't WinCo's fault really. While grocery prices seem to be escalating, it is nice to know that WinCo offers the most competitive prices around with decent quality. read more

This is the cleanest WinCo I have ever been too. I've been shopping at Winco for a decade now and this is the best one. The staff always greets me and asks if I need help finding anything. The only issue I have is they are regularly out of kale and chicken breasts. I've never had issues such as these at other wincos. Not a deal breaker. read more

I shop at this WinCo regularly as do a lot of people from the coast. It's clean, the produce is outstanding! Always clean and fresh. The meat department is amazing! They will slice your meat if you want or get you a cut that isn't out if they can. The bakery is great! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the bulk foods section and the coffee and tea section. A great store with the lowest prices! Compared to other WinCo's I've shopped at (mostly in the Vancouver area) I would say this one is the best. They are never understaffed which is a problem some of the others seem to have. The closest Winco to my new home, I figured I would give it a shot. For a Saturday there was surprisingly low stock all the way around, but my greatest dissatisfaction was finding a broken container (largest in nested set of three) upon arriving home. "No big deal," I thought, "I'll get it swapped out tomorrow." Oh, how wrong I was. I returned to the store today with item in hand. I explained that it had been purchased the day prior, the other two items were intact and having needed the larger one upon arriving home and finding it broken, I filled the smaller two with my bulk purchase, but that all I needed them to do was to crack open a new set, they would keep the smaller two, and I would leave with a large one, unbroken this time. Neither of the clerks were willing to understand that if they kept the smaller two containers of the new set, it would, in affect, be like me returning all three and leaving with an intact set of three. Needless to say, they would not allow for the swap, regardless of the logic basis of my request. If this is the sort of customer service I can expect, I won't be returning. read more

Anyone referring to this store as a clean store needs to raise their standards I have never not seen flies flying around the doughnut case. That's not something I see anywhere BUT Winco in Longview. That being said the prices are reasonable and the selection is great. Some of the staff is great and some needs a slap across the face. I know it's not the 1800s anymore but I don't appreciate being treated like common dog shit when I write a check. I know nobody writes checks anymore but when my debit card is no where to be found and I need stuff I'm going to write a check. I shouldn't be treated like a second class citizen for having done so but here I am complaining about it. read more

A 24/7 godsend in this po-dunk little mill town. I always have to remind myself that everything is more expensive than listed here, on account of the sales tax. I don't know what mojo the lady in the deli has, to make those big cases o' fried chicken, but man oh man that is some sinfully tasty, greasy-old bird there amigos! Finger lickin' good, fa sho! What's more, you can get like 50 pieces mixed for something obscene like $35 bucks there. Of course, if you go there in the dead of night like I usually do, the deli section is closed, so you have to settle for one from the fridgerated section. I usually go for the rotisserie in that case; fried chicken just isn't as impressive when the grease has managed to settle and congeal.... read more

Disclaimer: I didn't shop here. I attempted to shop, silly me, the first Monday of the month. The front of the store looked like a fish feeding frenzy..people& carts coming and going. Women in sweats, holey, dirty shirts , no bras, teeth missing, and in need of personal grooming, arm-in-arm with their stud muffin sperm donors bogarting a smoke, along with numerous dirty kids running around like they've never been out in public before. It's cheaper than Walmart and has more choices, the lanes get backed up a lot of times in the day, otherwise it's a great place to shop.

What can be said that everyone doesn't already know except: 1- Avoid the produce department as everything is as old and ready to rot as you'll find in a store and 2- avoid their meat department Winco packed items if you can. Tough, scary-sourced stuff is the order of the day for Winco-branded meats. Also, avoid the crowded, busy and often long checkout lines by going before 10 AM or after 8 PM. read more

This is the only place in town I trust to have the best prices on groceries, with the best selection. I've shopped all over town and I still return to Winco. The only undesirable thing is the crowds of people that go through there. Of course more than half of them are slow and take up most of the aisle instead of sticking to one side.
