Comfortable, welcoming office - supported by a friendly staff. I was seen by Dr. Irina Rutkowski. Dr. Rutkowski is kind, friendly and professional. She took the time to explain to me what is currently happening with my vision. She is thorough - I felt seen and heard. Ali assisted me in the optical department. She helped me select a frame, as I was undecided. Ali also broke down what my insurance included. All and all an excellent experience. We walked into this business and everything looked clean and remodeled, and the staff was very nice. We wanted to get some glasses repaired however we were not a current customer. They let us talk to the person who would know about repairing glasses and she repaired them at no charge. We were able to get a cleaner, cloth and spray combo for five bucks. Everyone was so nice. Unfortunately this is the Parent company to the Woodland, WA location where I had my bad experience at. I called to set up 6 new patient apts for my family because they are local to us. I had insurance in hand and talked to the receptionist who was immediately short and when I let her know what kind of insurance I had she told me they didn't accept it due to having additional coverage for the prescription portion of it. I asked if she could verify they don't accept it and she said she could not and I would have to contact my insurance to verify. I took the loss and called my insurance to find someone local in network for my coverage. My insurance gave me THIS LOCATION DIRECTLY. I called the woodland office back and explained I just got off the phone with my insurance and I was told they do in fact accept my insurance. The reception once again told me that they do not because I had the secondary insurance attached to it. I called my insurance back again to get some information and a break down of insurance information so I could understand why I was being told I couldn't get an apt this this office. She told me it was one insurance that covered all vision medical procedures, and annual vision annual apts. (the insurance they accept.) the 2nd was to cover prescriptions which then did accept. I once again called back to the office. Told her I was once again calling back and explained to her what my insurance had just told me.. she began to argue with me saying they didn't accept my insurance. I told her they did! I verified before i called back. I was covered for my apt in full and my prescription would have to go through someone else as part of the insurance that they didn't accept. She responded with "you mean to tell me you are covered in full?" I said yes! For my preventative yearly eye exam. She said "well we verify all insurance prior to even scheduling an apt anyways" I said so When I asked you to verify my insurance earlier and you told me you couldn't I had to call my insurance directly. You actually were able to? She said yes. I spent a total of 1 hour on the phone calling the clinic 3 times and my insurance twice. Was treated very poorly. The receptionist was rude, argumentative, had no knowledge of the job and had probably costed the company clients In the past. The rating I am giving is based off her alone I apologize in advance to any one else that works there that did not deserve this rating. I wish I would have grabbed her name. I still need a clinic for my family of 6 but will now have to drive 20 min away for care. I did call the Longview branch due to lack of online information for the woodland location and spoke to a nice young lady who said she will have her manager call me which sounds like she works at both locations. read more

I've been to Dr. Jeff Tack two times. Last time I got my first pair of progressives. It's an amazing prescription. Everyone is friendly and helpful but I felt rushed and pressured to pick new frames. And my glasses were SO expensive even with insurance and basic frames and they took over a month to arrive. $600 out of pocket--ouch. So, docking one star. Updated 8/10/17 Still happy with my prescription from Dr. Tack but just got a backup pair of progressives at Costco for $210 (that I like much better) and they were ready in 5 days with Valentino-made-in-Italy frames. $600 for no-name-made-in-China frames really feels like highway robbery. I agree with the previous poster that the dark haired front desk staff is extremely off putting. Rude to me from the moment I walked in, but overtly flirtatious with the UPS guys?? I hope the Doctors at this facility read the reviews. I would not recommend for this reason alone. read more

From the Front Desk, to the doctor Dr. Jeffrey Tack, to the Technicians like Michelle McMillan; the care, service, and expertise provided by all was excellent! This was, by far, the most positive eyecare experience I have ever had. My experience was so positive that I made an appointment for my husband who also needs his eyes checked, and a new prescription for contact lenses. I wouldn't even give them one star if it worked that way but I had gone to get my eye exam and pick out a pair of glasses wich I have very good insurance well the lady that was helping me I told her the style of glasses I wanted but she insist I get a different style this went on for a good 30 minute when I finally just said ok .then when my glasses finally came in the perscription was all wrong I had to take my glasses off to be able to barely read well when I told them the glasses didn't work for me 3 times she insisted that I keep wearing them that my eyes would adjust NO I want to be able to see the second I put them on ..our insurance paid a good 300 dollars for my glasses wich are used as a paper weight and I'm stuck with store bought readers because my insurance only covers one a year I will never go back and I do not recommend read more

Worst rip-off place I've ever been to in my life. Quoted me $65 then got billed for $90 Then a couple weeks later another bill for $178 saying my insurance had a spend down. I've never paid $268 for an EYE EXAM even with no insurance. Oh yeah and also they charge an extra $10 for a PD read (necessary to get glasses) and the Dr doesn't even do it the Sales Clerk does... Avoid this place on principle if you don't believe in price gauging. read more
