For the last 12 times I have had to move I did it myself. Call friends for a hand if you have them in the area, or just rent a truck and go. I am the friend people call when they need help moving and I've just never been able to justify the cost. This time the cost was more than justified. In less than 4 hours these guys got my apartment on a truck, drove it past an active wildfire zone, and got it all out in the new apartment on the 4th floor. Not a scratch on anything, ahead of schedule and VERY polite and helpful. I've never had as much stuff to move, and this time I also had three animals to wrangle, but in 100 degree weather these guys made it my easiest move in 15 years. I had friends at my mother's house when they arrived to help me finish packing what I was taking from my mother's estate and moving furniture. We were all impressed with their work ethic and care. I have health issues and they were very accommodating. Moved items from Mom;s, emptied old storage unit and moved. everything to a new unit. I planned on writing a review for HBM. This just isn't the review i would have preferred to give them. I hired them for a 6 block move on June 25th 2017. The move went fine, all in all - but after having time to carefully look everything over I noticed damage to two pieces of my personal property, one of which is critical to how i earn an income. Before the move occurred, their manager was quick to respond to my questions. Two weeks since i left the message about the damage, they still haven't returned a call. The difference in those two customer service policies is alarming to me. It's not the damage that's forced my rating here, things sometimes break in moves. It's the way they are dealing with it...they aren't. The money I paid them worked. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. I hired then through my company and I regret it every minute. The only positive thing I can say is their attitude they were very friendly. But I had a one bedroom apt move all of my furniture was brand new some even still had tags on it. They barely wrapped the furniture and some pieces didn't wrap at all. They damaged my old place trying to use a dolly on the stairs when I finally told them to drop the dolly and just carry it !! By the time we got to the new place only 11 miles away every piece of my furniture was scratched, dented, chunks missing out of the wood, and paint missing. I mentioned it to the movers he ignores me told me to sign here and here and took off. To say I'm upset is an understatement 10 grand of new furniture ruined I could of had better service asking my friends to throw it in the back of their pick ups. Our movers Eric and Sebastian were communicative, punctual, careful, and very hardworking. Every piece of furniture was wrapped, carefully moved and placed in the new apartment, and unwrapped. Great moving company. The moving guys were very careful with our furniture and TV and wrapped everything in special furniture blankets, saran wrap, and tape. They were constantly on the move back and forth to the truck and to our home without rest. They had a huge truck, much bigger than the ones from U-Haul, which made loading and unloading more efficient, and saved us the hassle of having to rent one, purchase insurance, fill up with gas, etc. And to top it off, the staff themselves had great customer service. We had a 5 month long addition and renovation. We needed their services 4 times during the project. moving furniture around the house, upstairs, downstairs, over to a neighboring house. Hollywood Best was great! They were subcontracted for my government move by Mayflower and they came to pack me! They brought all the materials and took the time and care to pack everything correctly. Nothing was too big of an issue and when they accidentally packed some of my hanging clothes I still needed they opened the boxes until I found the correct clothing. They kept apologizing and it was my fault as I forgot to remind them. They cleaned up their mess from the paper and tape and made sure there was a good inventory for the truck the following day. 2nd Floor Baby Grand Paino Move in Santa Clarita! Very professional, fast and efficient! They moved my baby grand piano along with my other stuff from the second floor apartment. There were no missing articles, and no damages. They do not charge extra for the plastic wrap and mattress pad. They have 4 hr minimum service. My whole move to another place 5 miles away was 2 hours. Again most of our knick knacks were already home. So the bulky and other heavy boxes were the only things left to move, which filled the whole (trailer) truck. No hidden charges. Very affordable considering my baby grand piano...I initially booked a 6 hour move, they gave a refund without any hassel. Although it took time, just be patient. Jose, the lead /coordinator was easy to transact with, he is very honest, kind and trustworthy. Joe, oh boy, worked hard the most. He lifted my 125 lb memory foam mattress by himself, and the piano's weight most to himself. Dont hesitate if they are far from you. They may be better/cheaper than the movers closer to you. Kudos to the Hollywood's Best Movers... you really stand up for your name! read more

These guys are very friendly, and they arrived on time. However, they over charged me, which I did not like. They started out fast, but towards 1/3 through through their job they seemed to slow down dramatically. This I find later would cost me an extra $600.00. I actually ended up helping quite a bit and have the sore back to prove it in an effort to speed things along. They require cash, but don't tell you that until they arrive. They assembly of furniture at my new place was very poor. They completely ignored the markings on boxes marked FRAGILE. The scratch the walls several times at the new place. Overall, I can not and do NOT recommend them. read more
