We were wondering if you sub-contracted our move to an outside company. The reason I ask is because you advertise yourselves as professional movers who would be able to disassemble furniture with our own tools etc. Although the two kids who showed up were very nice and polite, they were a far cry from professional movers. We are imagining that due to their lack of experience, they thought bringing a metal dolly into an apt with wood floor, loading it up, maneuvering around while not realizing they are scratching the wood floors was the way to go. I had told them right as we were doing the initial walk thru, to be careful with the sofa cause the chrome legs would scratch the floor if dragged. 45 minutes later, one of them pushed the sofa which did the damage you will see need the floor board against floor. I am attaching pics of the damage done to our floors. When it came time to disassemble the pedestal from the desk top, we asked if these guys had tools, to which they said they did not. At that point, we realized we could not trust them to disassemble anything, so we did it ourselves with our own tools we had to pull out of a packed box. We asked them how high their truck was in order to assess if it would fit into the destination building parking lot. They had no clue. We asked them to call their dispatch to find out and they said the truck was a rental so they couldn't. Then, once we finally got to our destination, while wheeling our bbq down the parking lot slope, going way too fast, both he (our professional mover) and the bbq fell over. Needless to say, the inside of the bbq is all broken and no longer functioning. I called you guys and left a message. Nick from your office called back but we could not speak because that was exactly when one of your movers fell over with the bbq so I told him i'd have to call him back. From then on we played phone tag. It seems that the kids had called their boss/dispatcher while on route to because I received a text from a Vladimir asking for me to send him pics of the damage. (this was before they fell with our bbq). He offered a 20% discount but I ask you - do you feel the damage done to our floor and bbq would come close to covering the cost? We had Alex and Sasha valademir handle our move on the 29th. I was blow away by how quickly and carefully everything was handled and cared for. I have an older dog that they even watched out for while she roamed around the house. They wrapped almost everything in blankets and plastic as well. First of all let me say that the pricing for this company is among the most competitive I've researched. Their average hourly rate was $69 for two people (including the truck, which some moving companies tack on as an extra fee so be sure to ask if it's included!). The truck they brought was probably between 24 to 28 feet. More than sufficient for a two bedroom, maybe even a three bedroom. I was charged a $75 deposit fee which rolled over into my final payment. One thing to watch out for (which I'm sure was just an honest mistake) is that when Alex was doing the billing he only marked down $50 as the deposit I paid. However, I politely corrected him and he called his company to confirm and made the amendment and apologized. Now onto the actual move. My guys were Alex and Nikita. they were both very professional and courteous. Alex was a little older but don't let his age fool you, the man can work! I received a call around 9:30 informing me that they would arrive by 10am. They arrived a hair after 10 and Nikita told me they would set the start time at 10:15 am (even though they began working at 10:05). I had already moved all my furniture into boxes and placed them all in front of the garage so they didn't need to remove the items from the house which saved alot of time. They very carefully packaged and transported my items and organized them inside the truck. My final bill came out to be 240 + 75 (deposit) + 60 (tip) = $375 for 3.5 hrs of moving time (including the double travel time which came out to around 1.5 hrs) All in all a pretty great experience. I would use them again. *just one small note, when the guys were moving I think they might have damaged my vinyl flooring. I asked Nikita about it and he kind of just shrugged it off. I moved last month with the help of Ash and Sam from Long Beach Movers. I have moved six times throughout my life and each experience could not have gone better using other companies. Moving with this company is by far the worst experiences I've had! I would never recommend this company to someone. I do not understand how they have good reviews. They came unprepared with a moving van that was too small and not enough blankets to cover the furniture or equipment. Because of this, every piece of furniture they moved was damaged Ash, the guy that seemed to be in charge of it all was incredibly rude! I even went so far as to provide them with beverages and lunch. It took them double the time that was quoted to complete the move, and then they lied about the amount of time they worked by three hours. When they finally finished, Ash had the audacity to ask for a 20% tip and asked for a positive yelp review with his name included. I called the company to speak with someone about my experience and the damage to my furniture. I was transferred to a man named Paul, Who was very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately, the person that was ultimately handling my case completely dismissed it. When he finally called me back, he was extremely rude just like his employees. I did not get his name, but he basically took the word of his employees over mine. He was supposed to call me back to resolve this matter, but of course, he did not. Very professional. We had three men move our 1-2br. It took longer than i expected (6-7hrs) but that was just bc we have a lot of stuff including a large treadmill. Make sure you check for any scratches to the floor when before they start unloading. Later, we had one in our new place but the mover told me he didnt do it- he might not have but i wasnt sure- so that was my fault. They took an hour for lunch mid-way through but did not add that to the hours of the move. Good overall read more
