In my case, it was in the transporting and delivering of an Elliptical Trainer into my studio apartment. To my surprise, my building's elevator was just shy of being large enough to accommodate the size of my Trainer. Yet, the moving team didn't give up. This is the best moving company I have ever worked with. Josue and his partner were A++, great positive and upbeat attitude. They took apart our beds and baby's cribs but when we arrived to the new house I was amazed they put everything back together for us. My parents were moving just a few blocks and had pre-packed and moved what they could themselves. What remained was only larger pieces of furniture. But they were being quoted very high prices with extra surcharges for having a piano, bigger pieces of furniture, and washer/dryer units. I was getting desperate because their move was coming soon, so I called Move 4 Long Beach after seeing these positive reviews, and thankfully they had an opening on their preferred move day. When I told the other moving company that we would not be moving forward with them given their additional surcharges, they warned us that cheaper moving companies could scam us or pack up our stuff and not unload them unless we paid a ransom fee. That made me very worried, so I told my parents to be watchful and careful. Not only were there no problems, the movers were genuinely caring and wonderful people. The movers were all from a family, and they were extremely experienced, professional, and fast. They moved my parents' whole house in a few hours, including disassembly and reassembly as needed. I give a lot of bad reviews. If I give a good review, then you know the company is doing something right. Let's be real: moving sucks. Finding a reputable moving company also sucks. You are entrusting all your possessions to some random people you've never met. You are giving them a blank check. There are so many ways that you can get screwed. Choosing the right company is crucial, but that's not easy. All of these companies on Yelp with 1000+ reviews are flooded with fake reviews. They buy them because they have to do so to compete. If people leave a negative review they threaten them or pay them off to make it go away. What does that leave you with? A lot of phoniness, and that sucks when trying to weed through all that and pick a company to hire. I wanted to avoid movers that would milk the clock, damage my goods or my apartment, steal my stuff, and waste my time. Unfortunately all of the guys with 1000+ reviews do that stuff, but the Yelp pages are set up to trick you into thinking they can do no wrong. I eventually realized most of those companies were fraudulent and started looking at smaller companies. People who would do the job, work hard, without the BS. I researched who to hire for hours. I called many companies. This is the one I decided to hire. Many of the people I spoke with had very thick foreign accents, almost to the point where I couldn't understand them. There's nothing wrong with that. The previous moving company I used were two Russian guys who barely spoke English but did a solid job. However when I spoke to Josue on the phone, he sounded like a normal California guy. He was friendly, professional, and made me comfortable. He sounded like someone from here. That's what gave me confidence to hire them. I hired 3 movers: Luis, Salvador, and Carlos. These dudes were professional, friendly, and got the job done. It was $160 an hour, pretty standard, but they didn't waste my time. They didn't damage anything, and they worked hard. That's all I wanted. My total bill came out to just under $700 and I gave them $80 each for a tip. Well worth it. They moved a 2 bedroom townhouse with a ton of stuff in it in just over 4 hours. They didn't milk the clock, they didn't steal my stuff, they didn't lie to me, they didn't hit me with any BS charges. They did the job I expected them to do. Would I hire them again? Absolutely. It's a small company, but you don't get all the BS you get with those other companies with tons of reviews. Give Josue a call. I'm definitely glad I did. read more

These guys were great. We had a simple move request- 2 items- 1 was super heavy and bulky. We were moving it about 3 miles away- predicted about 1 1/2 hour move. Every other company had a minimum of 3-4 hours. Woulda been $300-400. Move 4 LB responded quickly, and priced it at $200 for 2 hours - Was a deal. And they did a great job- arrived early, moved a really huge and heavy armoire, brought it to the location in the house we needed- used blankets- took all precautions to guarantee no scratching. I cannot express how pleased I was with this company! I received a prompt response when I inquired about the estimate via email and also spoke with someone (can't remember their name, sorry!!) over the phone. They answered all of my questions and assured me that the move would be pain-free. Josh, Jose, and Salvador made my move go by so smoothly. They showed up on time and immediately got to work. I was super impressed by their ability to organize and move everything so quickly. They helped wrap and pack additional parts of my apartment that I didn't have time to get to. They were careful with large objects/furniture and more delicate ones as well. Everything was wrapped with plastic wrap and/or padded with blankets. At the end, they disposed of everything and even took some of my personal boxes I bought to use. Overall, I couldn't recommend this company enough. They took about 4 hours to move me from a 1bed1bath ~600sqft to a 2bed 2bath ~1000sqft. The icing on the cake is that due to health issues, I have to be very careful about the ongoing covid pandemic. I requested that the movers wear masks and it was no big deal to the guy I spoke with initially on the phone. Usually people make a big deal about masks, even when I'm paying for services. Needed to move my stuff from Long Beach to Garden Grove. Josh was quick to respond to my request for a price quote. Was able to schedule a day & time that worked best for my schedule. The movers, Jose and Felipe showed up right on time and got straight to work. No messing around. They provided and loaded a few wardrobe boxes and other boxes along with my furniture. They took care in wrapping up the furniture to prevent damage. I commend both Jose and Felipe for a job well done. The townhome I moved into is three stories and they had to carry the desk, dresser drawer, and bed frame to the third story via the stairs. They did not slow roll the clock by hiding, taking unnecessary smoking breaks or talking on their cell phones.
