One of the worst places I've ever been too. Service was good at one time was able to walk in no problem. Truly changed I WILL NEVER GO back.

You know those nail salons that you go to and it's really awkward because they only speak to each other in a foreign language, while you sit there like an out of place potato? Yep, this is one of those places. My manicurist spoke English just fine with another customer...but talking to her while she was working on my nails was like talking to a wet mop. Wouldn't acknowledge me at all when I tried to just make basic conversation. Manicure turned out cute, but I honestly think they're a bit pricey too. My friend got acrylics and they filed her nails too thin. They cracked. read more

I enjoyed my experience with Holly nails very much. Going in for the first time, I thought the staff was friendly and welcoming, not cold or clique-y that you sometimes experience when you're a new customer. I was helped quickly. The tools were taken out of fresh, sterilized packs right in front of me. The tech that did my no chip (whose name I didn't get!) was very thoughtful, he knew what I wanted and when the color we picked didn't quite get it there, he mixed two to make it look right. Today is a day shy of 3 weeks since I had them done, and they still look flawless, except for the outgrowth. I will be heading back in tomorrow to get them done again! read more

I never spend time writing a review but I felt it was imperative to help others. I needed a pedicure and a manicure done for a wedding I asked if there was any way I could get it done at the same time I was crunched for time. A regular pedicure usually takes 20 even 30 minutes top! I opted not to get the deluxe which is hot rocks and so forth which I know takes a hour. However it took the lady well over an hour to do a regular pedicure and charged me 50 bucks. The guy was going to start my nails but another customer walked in and decided to do her instead of my nails which I told them I was in a rush! I watched 2 ladies walk in and get a full set done before I was even done with my regular pedicure. Afterwards I told them I dont have time to get my nails done and they said sorry you dont have enough time. REALLY! I would of! Had they started my nails during the pedicure I was just getting them polished but instead they kept taking people who walked in! Needless to say I left there with no manicure for the wedding! They dont offer coupons in the clipper mail which I could of used a coupon somewhere else and got a lot cheaper price. I will NEVER go back. Horrible customer service and over priced! FYI if you dont have all day to spend there than go somewhere else. By the way the lady that did my pedicure told me your feet are really dry when u go home put lotion on them! I came in 5 minutes before closing on a Sunday and they were kind enough to stay open till 7pm to give me a full leg wax and pedicure. Kathy was awesome. Despite having worked a long day she still gave me her all with excellent service and a very fair price. If I lived in IL she would definitely be who I'd go to every Time! Thanks Kathy! read more

Don't go here! I have been here a few times. One time the water was too hot and almost burned my foot. Recently I went to get a pedi before vacation and my big toe was bleeding because the lady doing the work cut it too short. I told her twice thinking she would do something. But NO nothing. She told another worker and they starting laughing, this made me more mad! I told them I wasnt happy and didnt find anything funny. Then the two of them continued to speak in their language and laugh. I was so mad leaving there. No tip for her and I will never go back! read more

Although the quality seems decent, I had a BAD experience. After my services I presented my gift certificate from "Holly Nails" same address with no expiration date (N/A). I was told they are not honoring them due to upgrading to another kind of gift certificate after someone else took over. I do not believe that to be good business practice as there was no way for me to know this change had taken place. The name of the company remained the same, same location, and there is absolutely no fine print on the certificate. The manager was unwilling to compromise in any way. They did nothing to keep my business or that of my family and friends as I will be letting everyone I encounter know of their poor business relations. read more

This place is the worst place I have been to. The staff is rude. When I went in I was greeted and asked to pick a color after I said I want a gel full set. I showed a picture of something I wanted which the guy responded to okay. Got my nails done and the nail tech did a horrible job. the gel did not cover the whole nails. I told him I wanted somewhat short nails which he did not do. After helping me chose a color similar to what I wanted he said that he can't do it exactly as the picture (which I understand). when he colored the nails the color did not even cover the gel part. My nails looked totally fake and overall bad. Not even a week later my nails started to fall out. I called and he had me come in, when I was there he started talking Chinese or whatever language he spoke with his coworkers (which I think it's very rude) he kept showing them my nails and laughing to which I responded by saying that if he was going to talk about me to speak English so I can be on the conversation. Everyone was very rude. I will not go there again. read more

I've been going here for about 3 years, and it's the best place around! I always make an appointment with Holly herself; she is very gentle and always does a fantastic job! I like to make an appointment because they are usually crowded--which I don't mind because it means they are doing well in their business. I will never go anywhere else! read more

I got my manicure no chip. They were very nice and I like how they message you and take care of your cuticles etc.Some of these nail places are lacking these steps while they still charge you the same or more. read more

I called and booked an appointment which was quick and easy. When I arrived, I was greeted warmly when I walked through the door. I was seated for my pedicure after I picked my polish color. I'm not sure the person that did my pedicure is even licensed to do so. (it took him 10 minutes to put on gloves) I saw no licenses posted anywhere. Some of the technicians were also using razors (cheese graters) to remove stubborn calluses. Which is illegal in the state of Illinois. (But most of these kinds of places do) The pedicure was nothing to write home about. I paid for the Spa Pedicure and received the Basic. The foot massage was excruciatingly painful and rough. The nail technician didn't say anything to me at all during my service. I also came in for a No-Chip french manicure. That was quick and painless as was expected. (done by a different technician.) At $86, It was okay, but not the best service I've received. read more

I have been going to Holly's nails for years... in fact I followed Holly from Nail Envy when she opened Holly's Nails. The prices are very reasonable for the area and they have a great selection of no-chip colors. The salon is always very clean and the new spa chairs are great. Holly is a sweetheart and her husband Don is super nice. It is a family shop and Holly's sister(s) and relatives work there, too. Everyone is very friendly and remembers you by name. Yes, they are a very busy salon (because they are great) but in several years, I have only been kept waiting a couple of times and it wasn't that long. Nail places that I went to prior kept me sitting there for an eternity and it was my number one complaint. I have found that if they are running behind, its usually because someone was late for an appointment or Holly is trying to accommodate a special request, i.e. someone came in for an appointment and brought two friends in that didn't have an appointment. Multiple times I have seen them tell a walk-in that he/she will have to come back another time because they are busy, as opposed to other salons where they will tell you they can see you but then you sit and wait for over an hour. Overall, I would and have recommended Holly's Nails to friends and family. Best nail place in the area, hands-down (pun intended!). read more

I'm very unhappy with this place. I've been going to them for years for my nails, and have always been giving them another chance. The people are friendly and the prices affordable, but the quality is not so good. The owner is the one who does my nails every time, and each time, he gives me another reason not to go back. I went in recently to get an acrylic no chip (my usual) and had an unpleasant experience. As he was taking my previous acrylics off, he accidentally stuck the utensil underneath my actual nail and lifted up. The pain went away quickly, and he said he wanted to take them off another way, so he brought a bowl of something over and told me to put my hands in it, so I did. Time went on and he finished my nails, then started putting a clear coat on top of my nails. I went to pay and was surprised of the total. He said $55. $55!?!? I'm normally charged $35 for what I get here... He explained that the charge was for the manual taking off my nails and something else I couldn't understand. I was appalled at the way he scammed me out of my money and ALSO the quality is absolutely awful! Before he even shaped my nails, I asked for long, round acrylics that look like the examples of no chip I chose from. They came out looking like legit circles. I am so upset with this place and will not be bringing my business there anymore. Terrible quality and a bunch of scammers. read more
