Wow. I left a review months ago where I left bruised from my pedicure. I decided to delete the review and give them more chances, for some odd reason. Fast forward and I'm fed up with them. The nails have gotten worse and worse each time, as has the treatment. This final time, they did far below the bare minimum and treated me horribly to boot. I love this place! Regardless of which staff is doing the nails, they always do a great job. I came here with my mom for a no chip manicure and a regular pedicure, and we were in and out within a reasonable amount of time even though they had a lot of customers. They were extremely thorough with the mani/pedi too. My no chip easily lasted 3 weeks until I took it off, and the pedicure lasted over a week. They also use only name brand stuff (OPI, etc.) so you know it's high quality that lasts. The place is very clean and sanitary - would definitely make this my regular go-to salon! Just got a full set of acrylics done Saturday morning. No wait at all at the time of opening and done within an hour. Chili is great at the nails and only some stuff could have been done better. The edges were a little crooked and the polish was not fully clear of lumps. Probably a little too expensive for the end product of the nails but definitely will come again. Update 6/19/18 Still a loyal customer! Have had many no chips last over 2 weeks and even get some waxing done there now. Very accommodating! I went in for my first time 2 weeks ago. First of all I just moved to Algonquin, didn't try any nail salons yet, and tend to be pretty picky and critical as it is. I selected Leon because of mailer coupons that were sent out. I had a normal pedicure by Jen - she was extremely meticulous and it still looks great 2 weeks later - would certainly ask her by name again. I have callouses and an ingrown and she managed them comfortably without grinding the heck out of my skin at the same time. She made sure to clean up anything out side the lines and it was perfect! I even hit my foot on something getting up and she had to redo one nail on the spot - no complaints. I had a no-chip manicure by Chili (spelling, uncertain) and I believe it's her salon. Let me start by saying that I HAVE NEVER HAD A NO CHIP LAST 2 WEEKS IN MY LIFE!! This was a first. I know like many of you that the trick is to make sure the surface is clear of imperfections and NEVER leave a rough edge or it peals/lifts pretty quickly. Again, meticulous work. I am going back today to swap out my no chip (normally I don't go back to back) and I could leave this one on longer but I have my wedding shower this weekend and need a refresh on the outgrowth. I don't even need to redo the pedicure yet. I am so happy that I may have a salon already that I can trust to do a good job for my wedding nails in 2 months. I also plan to ask for techs by name - I never do that but I was so elated I want to just keep up with who I knew works best for me! read more

Just had a pedicure at Leon Nails. The technician took the scrubbing pad and used it to scrub the top of my feet, which took a lot of my skin off. Then she must have sprayed with acetone because the pain was terrible! Will never go back. read more

Only reason I gave them two stars is bc my nails did turn out decent. The problem with this nail salon tho is that for one it is stupidly expensive. I had to pay $3 extra bucks for my hands and $3 for my feet for the nail polish color. Hum what? Shouldn't the polish be a part of a pedicure or a manicure. Guess not. The other major problem I had was they had a young girl start on my pedicure. I don't believe she knows what she is doing bc she had to keep asking questions to the guy next to her. A different person stepped in a little over half way through the pedi and finished it. While still in the pedi chair they started my manicure. My nails have been growing out for a few months now and she shortens all the them even tho I told her to just even then a little. I just felt rushed and not welcome in their nail salon. Their was an older women next to me and they did both her mani and pedi while sitting in the pedi chair. Like way to make her feel like she is getting pampered. I don't recommend this place at all there are better places out there to go to. Quick update by Monday I had to re paint all my nails bc they had chips. Such a rip off I changed it to one star bc it is deff not worth the price read more

Not happy with this place. I'm not one to write bad reviews, cause I know everyone makes mistakes and has bad days, but I'm sorry this was bad. First off, the lady started filing my nails, but was too distracted by her phone (was texting when I was there) and wasn't watching when she was doing my nails and started filing my skin!!! She also kept getting the darker color on my skin and now my skin around my nail is that color. On top of that she got the color on my hand and didn't bother to clean it up, but the guy that took over well she left (I have no idea she left when my nails were finishing under the uv light) cleaned it up for me. She also filed close to my cuticle and now my finger hurts and is like all red, probably close to bleeding at the time. She also really hurt my fingers when she was cleaning up my cuticles... last thing.. I have like bumps on my nails, from like something (idk what) that she didn't bother to take off before the UV ray... so when you have gel polish it should feel like nice and smooth... mine are bumpy.. do not recommend.. I heard great things about this place and decided to try it, but I will definitely not be coming back. read more

They were great the first few times I went, but they never listened to me that I was hard on my nails and needed them thicker... once they insisted they were fine and I had one break off 6 days later... I went in to get them fixed and they made me pay... the last few times I went I requested Leon since he was my favorite technician, I think he recently developed a drinking problem and even my 7 year old daughter said he smelled like alcohol. Glad I wasn't imagining it... he was either too hungover to see or just didn't care how my nails look. I was very disappointed at how they looked. totally sloppy... and the next time I went in the owner lady treated me like I was such a bad person... I was so embarrassed.... no one deserves to be treated the way I was treated... all because the one thing I ask for is my nails to be thicker... and because of that they made sure to give me the worst nail job possible.
