i have never had such a bad experience here. i've been coming here for over a year now and whoever did my nails today had to have been new. he was so rude to me, handled my hands with aggression, cut every single one of my fingers, drilled my nails down so far that they were BURNING, he got something on my figure that it hurt to be touched, he refused to do my nails the way i wanted because they would be "too expensive" even though i was there to pay them money and now one of my fingers are borderline infected! i will not be returning. i have added a reference photo compared to what i actually got *added* to make the matter even worse, my dad was LIVID because of how upset i was. he called them 7 times!!! only to be hung up on every single time. they didn't like the fact that he/i are unhappy with this. grade A customer service. read more

I came in to get a simple full set and Bob was my technician. He was super rude to me and got the acrylic all over my fingers. When using the drill my finger nails were burning. I told him this and he ignored me. To get my old set off and a new one on with a simple color was $70.00 this would be acceptable if the whole time I wasn't in so much pain. read more

I used to go here years ago and always had good experiences. I went to get a no chip manicure before going out of town on a Thursday and by Friday afternoon there were several nails chipped. I had to have them fixed while I was out of town before I attended the wedding. When I got back into town, I went back 2 times to get the remaining nails fixed and each time I went back, they said to wait an hour. I asked several times if there was a better time of day when they had more people working and she just said,"you wait!" Sorry, but I can't wait for an hour! Great job on my coffin shaped, pink & white ombré nails. He was very detailed and took his time even though it was close to closing time. I kind of wished they didn't have so many up-charged pedicure options as it would be nice if the basic pedicure all just came with hot towel wrap and massage like other places I've been to. Massage chair while getting pedicure had some weird leg/butt air pressure mode but after pressing a bunch of buttons got chair to just do back massage mode. Could have had a better vibe to place, they had pop cover songs playing and no one really talked which kind of made it oddly quiet. read more

This place is terrible!!! After only a couple hours, my pink nails started to turn brown/orange. I'm not sure if it's bad/old polish but I couldn't make it in for 4 days to tell them about it. When I went in, the extremely rude lady at the front desk laughed at me and told me I must have done something to distort the color and she refused to fix it. It was at 11 am on a weekday with tons of nails techs just sitting around on their cell phones and they couldn't take the time or make any effort to fix the problem. Never going back. I asked for a polish change for my toes which had no chip on at the time and only a no chip polish on my hands. No mani or pedi. I was charged $72. The woman who I think was the owner or manager, Luong was not friendly, did not speak the entire time, except to someone on the phone while doing my nails. Worst polish I've ever had. She asked, is it ok? I said no, it's not ok can you fix it? She just got up and says, you can put you shoes on, all done. Left polish all over my cuticles and under my nail and I had to go home and remove it. When she removed the no chip from my toes, she was very rough scraping it off and cracked my big toe nail but I didn't see it until the next morning when I was flying out on vacation. The polish was done so poorly, it looked like a child did it. Obviously, the owner doesn't care about her customers! Plus, she overcharged me! I won't be back!! read more

I thought because of covid they would honor my gift certificate but I was wrong they made me pay because when it was issued. I doesnt have a expiration date on it or anything or a policy. For what we got it wasn't even worth it. I go somewhere else for cheaper with more to the package. I had to go there just for the gift certificate but never again my mom has one but not worth the drive for the work they did. My husband felt that they didn't even take all the dead skin off for 40 something plus that they charge. Make sure you know what the cost of your services are going to be here though. They will nickel and dime you to death at all these places. My grandchild is 10, their pamphlet says 10 and under for a mani pedi is $41. She tried to say it was for smaller kids. My grandchild is tall for her age, so I guess she thought I was lying. She kept saying smaller and trying to charge me more, but I stood firm. She was trying to charge more for a child. Damn shame. I got basic polish for her, and she tried to charge me $81. I didn't want the French mani look for my powder dip, but that's what I got because there was a language barrier, but he was nice and did a good job. I will go back but everything will be basic. Girlfriend and I ended up stopping in for mani/pedi and I'm surprised this place doesn't have any reviews yet. The place is gorgeous inside and SPOTLESS. You definitely don't get the dirty "spot cleaned" feeling you get in a lot of nail salons out there...and the people all speak very clearly, they are gentle and very professional in the manner they take care of you. I waited for 45 minutes and then walked out without getting anything done. I went in and asked for two pedicures and they said they could do it. I should have noticed they were understaffed. Not the best place. The color samples are all faded so when you see a "pink" you like it could turn out to be a "red." Happened to me more than once here. They do a really good job making your nails look nice but that's not enough if the color isn't correct? Service was okay. My spa water was cold for my pedicure. They did not wear gloves when doing my nails but they do have plexi glass shields at each work station and seat people every other chair. I actually had a $35 Gift Card that was given to me by a friend and I was planning on using it for a pedicure. Well, the pedicure was rushed through and each step was just the pedicurist "going through the motions" and when I got ready to pay and use my gift card, I was told that it had expired by just a short time. I went for a manicure & eyebrows, I was towards the end of my manicure & I'm seeing one of the nail techs by the waxing station looking at her armpit in the mirror. I was shocked what I saw, she takes a wax spatula coats her armpit while there were people getting their nails done, she rips off the paper, then proceeds TO DIP THE " SAME " SPATULA BACK IN THE HOT WAX & and do the same armpit again !!!! It was appalling, if I hadn't of seen that & I were To get my eyebrows waxed, who knows If she had anything going on. So disgusting, unsanitary. I told the tech doing my nails, she apologized and said, oh no she double dipped I told her I would not do my eyebrows, she said, sorry again, I told I'm sorry you just lost a sale and I would never come back. So this is a long-term honest review after going for about 7-8 appointments i think. And my takeaways were there are 2 main things no denying in this place. 1; the decor is beautiful and 2: They actually do a phenomenal job on my nails every-time. So sad i had to stop going because there were many problems. - Their pricing quotes each time is the the stock market it changes every-time and all i get is fills. - Ive seen them yell at their customers (unacceptable no matter how wrong/stupid they are being its bad business) - I'm a guy idk if maybe that it but i honestly like to get my nails done almost every week. And they seem to have an attitude about that, very confused as to why?? That literally makes no sense I get solid colors every time; that's very simple and if i get a design its trivial. But honestly i can come as often as i want and that shouldnt be a problem. - I have paid 65 dollars sometimes for a FILL in!! with no special rhinestones, designs, etc. thats absolute bannanas All and all these guys do a great job my nails were so good sometimes that damn near looked real but its not worth the changing price and other issues. read more

I have been with my nail technician for almost a year now. Her name is Emily. She is absolutely fantastic. Her design work and attention to detail is magnificent. She loves what she does and it shows in her work. Emily takes her time to get to know and build a relationship with her clients. Multiple times she has greeted myself and other clients by name. Each of my services are customized and relaxing. I hate sitting still for more than an hour; in the past I would never get pedicures and manicures in the same day, however with Emily time seems to fly by. She is an absolute doll and does great work. Algonquin is not an ideal or convenient location for me, and I went in as a last minute thing while shopping in the area. I promise to never leave her. No other No Chip lasts over 3 weeks!!!! I have not personally had any direct interactions with the owners, but the two seem nice and the salon is ALWAYS clean. I've tried on 2 different occasions to enjoy having my nails done here. The first time I got a gel manicure, by the next day 7/10 gels had fully peeled off and when I went back they wouldn't do anything about it even though it wasn't even 24 hours The other day I decided to stop in and get acrylics put on, the man who did my nails glued the wrong size nails to my finger so I had to endure the pain of him ripping and grinding it off. Speaking of grinding he made four of my fingers bleed and did not stop to aid, he just continued using the same machine getting blood on the tool. Which I'm sure he will use on someone else. The tips of my nails weren't painted and one of the sides he totally missed. Good for pedicures, I go there with my group of girlfriends for that. Not for hands in my book! read more

I have been looking for a nail salon as mine closed due to Covid. This is a lovely place. Lucy did a great job on my dip nails. I've been 3 times. I drive 39 minutes to get here as my girlfriend recommended it and her nails look amazing. Took my 87 demented mom there twice. However. ... Friday I made an appointment for both of us and was about 7 mins late. Linda-the owner /manager called me out on being late and insisted I needed to call. Ok she's correct I should have called but then she told me there was no time. They could only do one of us as Lucy was busy ( she wasn't other than me and mom...) so instead of leaving I had mom get her pedicure. Nothing else was said to me even though I apologized for not calling no effort to accommodate my appointment. Not one word was said while mom had her pedicure. We left feeling very chastised and I still needed my nails done. I won't go back as it's not close and really... I am 60 and don't need this aggravation. So an event that was supposed to be enjoyable for an outing during Covid with my demented mom left us both feeling bad. Got a no-chip. The girl rushed through my nails. I wish I had just done them myself. There are bubbles and gaps on the side with no polish. She painted over my cuticles so they will almost certainly look like crap as the grow out the next two week.
