I went here the other day for lunch. It was the first time visiting a Holé Molé and I can say that I'll be back! I tried a handful of different items, like the fried fish taco, grilled shrimp taco, crunchy chicken taco and el pastor flour taco plate. The fish and shrimp tacos were my favorites by far. This location was quaint and well maintained and the staff was very kind.

I came here yesterday and the food was so good I had to come back the very next day! What was even better , day two just so happened to be Taco Tuesday! I got an Ensenada Fish and an Ensenada Shrimp Taco. They were by far the best fish and shrimp tacos I have ever eaten! I washed the tacos down a delicious horchata! When I walked in I was greeted by the hospitable staff! Restaurant was clean and cozy! This is a hidden gem! You won't be disappointed, trust me , come here NOW! I will definitely be back ASAP!

I really wanted to try the brisket here and the crunchy tacos caught my attention. So I ordered the Roasarita Smoked Brisket and the Carnitas Crunchy Tacos. I'm sorry, but with the Roasarita, I felt like they was just throwing anything on a tortilla. Brisket, raw onions, guacamole, beans, cilantro, and add a bed of tortilla chips. Entirely too much going on. The Crunchy Carnitas Tacos were good minus the "special sauce" that I didn't even knew came on it. I'd go back for the Crunchy Tacos minus the sauce, but idk if I want to experiment and try anything else. Especially if it's just random ingredients thrown in a tortilla.

10/10 I love this place! If you're looking for good shrimp and fish tacos make sure you stop by here! They're the best fish tacos in the area. Food comes in big portions. They give you plenty of rice, beans, and chips with your combo. The horchata is also really delicious! Staff is always very friendly and helpful with the menu. There's tables to sit inside and outside. It's always very clean and cool inside.

Small cute place that serves big flavor! Wow, I did not expect this place to be this good. I paid 6.29 for the mini plate which included one Baja Fish taco one smoked brisket beans and a yellow chili. The flavor in the two tacos was amazing. I ordered a shrimp taco on the side and that was the best! The price was a steal. We will definitely be driving back just to eat here.! Had Flanquirtos for desert which was fried flan. It was good, but I will definitely be trying the fried ice cream next time. They were patient with us as I wasn't sure how to order and the service was helpful!

We went to this location because it had the higher rating than the others. We placed our order and while waiting, a mouse ran from the counter through the dining area. Eeeek! We took our food back to eat at home, wondering if we should still eat the food after seeing that mouse. We grudgingly tried it, my husband got the chicken mole burrito did not taste anything like mole. Mole is one of his favorite Mexican food, so he knows mole. I got the fish burrito, it was just so-so. We wouldn't go back there again and don't recommend eating here.

The fish tacos here were good. But the main reason to go here would be to get a horchata coffee. The service here both times J went was great. The restaurant is clean. When they make mole it sells out so I guess you should come in the morning m. We tried to order some but they were out:(

Came on a Monday and got the surf and turf plate combo. It was DELICIOUS! Brisket was perfectly moist and tender and the fish was perfectly battered with so much flavor. We loved the food and service so much that we came back again the next day for Taco Tuesday. This time getting a fish and shrimp and O.M.G. I didn't think it could get any better but the shrimp taco was heavenly. The place itself is nice, smaller on the inside however you can sit outside as well! All in all, a great place to eat. Highly highly recommend!

Came here for their brisket tacos, which were as good as ever. Hole Mole has been a mainstay chain in the fast casual Mexican food arena, serving Mexican fast food classics throughout SoCal. This Long Beach location on the corner of E 4th St. and Almond was converted to Hole Smokes, a new concept focusing on Texas BBQ blended with the original Mexican menu. With the opening of a dedicated Hole Smokes in Costa Mesa earlier this year, this location reverted back to being a Hole Mole, but still kept some of it's brisket items on the menu. There is a dedicated parking lot that never gets full, and some outdoor seating next to the restaurant. The smell of smoked brisket was in the air as we walked in. It is a fast casual set-up inside, where you order and pay for your food and then wait if carry-out or sit down where they will deliver it to you once ready. I just wanted one thing, which were the brisket tacos ($2.79)....had tried other things on the menu before, and they were just OK...the brisket tacos are unique in its price and just being rare in SoCal. These are street taco sizes, but were overflowing with meat. It is simply dressed with sliced (not diced) white onions and a bit of cilantro. The brisket in itself is very good, smokey and tender, but cut up into squares (not quite chopped but not sliced as the best brisket tacos one would find in TX). Just the quantity of meat you get vs how much you pay for each taco, makes this a great place to go if you love smoked brisket. The tacos get cheaper if ordered on Taco Tuesday ($1.99). They no longer sell brisket by the pound (you would need to go to the Hole Smokes in Costa Mesa for that...along with other BBQ staples)...but for 6 tacos, I'm pretty sure we got at least 1/2 worth of brisket. As just brisket, IS IT the best we've had in Cali?...No...but for the price, it's an absolute winner...and frankly I'm surprised they are able to keep that price that low.

A very welcoming vibe upon entry, we were greeted by a friendly couple who answered our questions about popular drink flavors. We decided to go with a Hot Cinnamon Dulce Latte and an Iced Blueberry Lavender Latte. While waiting, there were plenty of chairs, tables, a comfy couch and even a bar area to sit and relax. Tons of board games, books and wonderfully mellow music helps make the experience feel comforting and inviting. Our drinks were prepared quickly and shouted at the coffee bar for pickup. The presentation was great, but the flavors, out of this world! The Cinnamon Dulce Latte was OUTSTANDING. So good, in fact, that my girlfriend stole it from me! Not to worry, her Blueberry Lavender Latte was also top-notch, with a smooth, not-to-sweet flavor combination. Friendly staff (which comes with occasional karaoke renditions from the Bluetooth speakers), a chill vibe and outstanding drinks make this a top spot in the area for hardcore coffee lovers. I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

Such a beautiful and meaningful gesture. Once seated, drinks came out quickly, and the food followed shortly after. Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.
