Thursday comedy night they host there (they aren't *normally* open as late as they were both times I was there, if anyone was wondering why I was *drinking* so much wine and beer while I was here - but my understanding is it seems they do always *have* wine and beer, anyway.) So as far as that goes, they have a couple wines, a red and a white, I'm not sure if they change, but as of when I was there, the white was pretty good, the red (a cab) was super good. They're also not cheap, at 12 bucks a glass, but I was there to support them for hosting great local comedy obviously. Their beer is also local and craft - they also only have a couple, and one's always a pilsner (I've never liked pilsners personally), but the other, when I was there, was a great local lager (also a lot cheaper, at $6.50.) If you're there at a more normal time for more normal coffee shop type products, though they are also great. The first time I was there, I didn't have any coffee drinks, but the second time, I felt like I could use the caffeine, tried their tiramisu latte, which I absolutely recommend. I also had a chocolate croissant with it, which I can also totally recommend. Maybe not as good as the best chocolate croissant I've ever had, but that was also in France. It's a lot cheaper than flying to France.

The coconut muffin surprised me too because I usually don't love coconut texture, but this was delicious. I love discovering spots that aren't exclusively vegan but genuinely give vegan customers plenty to enjoy. A simple greeting may seem like a no-brainer in a customer service environment, but not every employee greets customers when they drop in - so it's much appreciated to the Long Beach staff. The café isn't big, but the interior is very quaint and homey, so I generally prefer to snag a seat indoors when I am around. The music isn't oppressively loud like at most Starbucks in my area, so I really appreciate that as someone who is likely working, reading, or doing both when I do hit up a café. While I can't offer any insight into the quality of coffee, lattes, etc. I can vouch for Rose Park in LB if you need a low-key spot to relax or get some work done.
