Noodles

Worst service, only order noodles and rice and it took 45 min only one person available , 30 buck later once I get home this taste nasty. Don't waste your time and money..

I love shining a spotlight on small mom-and-pop restaurants and businesses, and recently, I finally decided to check out a spot I've passed by a few times. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that instantly made me feel at home like I was stepping into a familiar place, even though it was my first visit. The customer service was good, and the prices felt like a breath of fresh air in today's economy. The food? Delicious and fresh! My only slight drawback was the portion size--it left me wanting more. If you're craving authentic, high-quality Chinese food at a good price, come try Hoi Yin in Spring. You won't regret it!

Hair in egg roll

Would have given it 2 stars, but there was a hair in my egg roll. Food is not good, not even for cheap Chinese food. Sweet and sour chicken tasted like a microwaved frozen McDonald's chicken nugget. There was onion skin in my peppered steak, which tasted like it was flavored with soy sauce only. Workers were unfriendly. $1 service fee for ordering online. I will not be going again.

Can't beat this place for consistency. Food is also very good and not overpriced! Portions are good size on lunch menu. You will not leave here hungry and broke!

Orange chicken

Absolutely amazing service I haven't been here in years used to go all the time when I was younger. Absolutely nothing has changed still the cutest little shop and the food is still great as always! If I was in town more often this would be a stable spot for me again. They are always super nice and understanding! Love this place!

My wife Kaity & I have loved this place since we left NY in 2013. These people are the best! The food is fresh & tasty, Best prices too.

Want a NY style Chinese restaurant? This is it!!! I have been going there for 10 plus years now. Best lunch specials, always consistent food quality. The soups are wonderful, tasty. Fast service & a friendly staff who work hard. Try the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, or the General's Chicken. I LOVE THIS LITTLE PLACE!

My full order.

It's really *good.* Full disclosure, I'm from New Orleans born and raised. So my palate is probably more discerning than most... After months of delay, I placed my order over the phone, and the lady was quite friendly. Yet to find the boneless spare ribs that adorn most Chinese menus back home, as well as Shrimp Fried Rice that sweeps me off my feet (except for one other restaurant), I decided to give Hoi Yin a try. I placed my order about an hour before closing, picking it up from the drive-thru twenty minutes later. I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice and the BBQ Pork; the spare ribs were bone-in, and I wasn't looking for beef sticks. There were no photos of the BBQ Pork on Yelp, so I took a shot in the dark. The nice aroma filling my truck, I eagerly fled home to give my food a try... To their credit, the portions from Hoi Yin were large, the price was fair ($15 total) and the food tasted pretty good. Okay--I didn't finish my food because it did absolutely nothing for me. Most of the Shrimp Fried Rice I've tasted since moving to the Houston area has been fairly bland. Plus I came up short when it came to the ribs I'm seeking. So for a *local* standard, my meal from Hoi Yin was really good. However, I'm still searching for fried rice and boneless ribs akin to anything I'm used to back home. Unfortunately, I haven't found that yet.

Cozy little place for some good Chinese food. Best General Tso chicken I've had in town. Good service. Egg rolls are good and the price is on point. Especially their lunch specials. Lots of good tasting food for the price. Egg drop soup is delicious.

There used to be a lady that answered the phone that was scary with delivery orders but that has changed. Now I can make easy orders over the phone. I love their food! The kung pao chicken is so good but not too spicy. I sometimes like to ask for extra spicy if you like a little more kick. They have really good crab ragons, and the portion size for what you order alot! I like the spring rolls, but the one with cabbage in them. And we always get the chicken lo mein or the combination lo mein. Delivery is always pretty fast. I haven't had an issue with the delivery yet.

While the service at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is friendly the food itself is not fairly average. We ordered the Triple delight and eggrolls to share as we tend to order too much food when trying a new spot -- a major disappointment absolutely no taste, meat, rice bland. if you are looking for authentic flavor profiles, distinct savory sauces, or consistent spice levels, this is just standard, run-of-the-mill takeout quality. It is not decent for a quick, budget-friendly lunch special, but it is certainly not the best in town. Don't let the parking lot fool you as it was full but definitely not patrons of this restaurant.

The first time, I simply made do with what I received. This time, I contacted the company because several items were incorrect. The gentleman who initially answered the phone was sweet as pie and tried to assist, but unfortunately, he didn't have a resolution for my issue. Shortly after we hung up, I received a call from someone who stated that he was the owner. He was initially very apologetic, and I sent him pictures showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. He explained that DoorDash posts the pictures of the food, not his company. He offered to refund me for two items, but I explained that I still wasn't satisfied because the one item I did receive was room temperature at best. At that point, the entire order was essentially a loss. When I asked for a full refund, I was told that I needed to return the food. I explained that the food had already been delivered, so I wasn't sure how I was expected to return it. That's when the conversation completely changed. The owner accused me of trying to get money from his company, said I was manipulating them, continued making disrespectful comments, and ultimately hung up in my face. That part bothered me more than the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. Food gets mixed up. Orders can be prepared incorrectly. I can understand all of that. What I don't understand is making a customer feel as though they are dishonest or trying to take advantage of your business simply because they are asking for a resolution to a problem. At the end of the day, my family still didn't have dinner, I paid for an order that was not properly fulfilled, and the biggest concern seemed to be defending the business rather than providing customer service. I genuinely wish the outcome had been different because I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But customer service matters especially when something goes wrong. How you handle the mistake can leave a much bigger impression than the mistake itself.

The duck is roasted for hours, so the skin comes out nice and crispy without being too greasy. I also like that the remaining duck is made into a soup afterward. Unfortunately, I shouldn't have ignored the average reviews, as this is what it turned out to be. I had lunch at Bambi House this last Friday for the first time. I was disappointed for a couple of reasons: my Orange chicken was basically mostly tempura and very thin slices of chicken. I had purchased the orange chicken, which was $9.85, with egg fried rice. The chicken was average in flavor, but as I mentioned before, the chicken was in thin slices; therefore, I mostly had tempura drowned in the orange chicken sauce. The fried rice was bland in flavor. Honestly, I agree: half and the re w the rest away. Admittedly, all of the 5-star reviews I read praised the duck, so perhaps that's what they're really good at. Unfortunately, I will probably never be back, because thin slices of chicken don't meet my expectations.

The restaurant is in a large strip mall and parking was plentiful. We arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday and were surprised to see that the restaurant was empty. The waitress seated us promptly and was friendly. The decor is simple. The beef noodle soup was amazing! The broth was very hearty and flavorful; the meat was perfectly cooked and super tender and the noodles were the perfect accompaniment to the spectacular dish! The xiao long bao were also delicious. The wrapper was sturdy and the meat was well seasoned with a generous amount of soup. I like how each XLB was served in a foil container so that you don't have to worry about the soup dripping all over the place. The oil spill noodle had excellent flavor, but I wish I had ordered the hand pulled noodle. The fried fish was piping hot and crispy with a nice Sichuan kick. My diagnosis: one of the best beef noodle soups in the Houston area with other solid Asian staples!
