After buying my car at another dealership, I had been introduced too Hoffman by family members how have been returning for years from buying vehicles and for service. I was also introduced to Mike Fuhr. ( Mike was a service advisor, but has advanced with the company). I have been coming too Hoffman Toyota for service for years, and I would not trust my car to anyone else. I bought a 2009 Toyota Corolla, and have recently brought it in to Hoffman for a 100,000 mile check up. I love the car, but wished that I bought it from Hoffman! The customer service that you receive, and actual service is impeccable!!!! My appreciation, gratitude, and business belongs to Hoffman and along to the folks that work there! Mike Fuhr is a asset that I am HAPPY to now, Hoffman has recognized and advanced his growth with the company. Jayden Jones was my service advisor, was also a former coworker who is a upcoming Superstar with Hoffman. His passion and commitment has carried over from where I met him, too Hoffman and he has a great career there! I also must include my service tech's. Jasmine Ramos who initially worked on my car, and gave me a detailed inspection video of my car. Without her expertise and professionalism I mostly wouldn't be driving my car! Jasmine through inspecting, found that my brake lines were corroded, with service being handled to Josh Lukasik. Jayden was my service advisor and kept in constant contact in updating me to any changes. The brake lines were back ordered with possibly a 2 to 3 months timeframe. With the help of Josh, he had made the brake lines and installed them to my car cutting the time at a fraction! Hoffman mentioned that my car could be picked up on a Thursday, with everyone working in unison, I was able to pick up my vehicle before this!!!!! I highly recommend Hoffman Toyota and the folks that are listed in this review, and will continue with my business for years too come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought our RAV 4 here six years ago and it was a very positive experience. Our sales rep was great and remembered my name when I saw him during a service call years later. Excellent service options such as on-line scheduling, weekend hours and cashiers on site till 8 PM for paying after work. Just had a tune-up, fluids and recall work done. The communication with the service dept was frequent and accurate. Nice job!

This dealership will sell you a lemon and when you reach out for help, be completely horrible and unresponsive. Avoid at all costs.

Short and sweet: I…read moreoriginally came here to check out a 2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 (that I wish I still bought instead.....). I ended up working with a salesperson by the name Mir. Very kind, down-to-earth guy. Due to financing issues, I wasn't able to get the Honda, but Mir took into consideration all my needs and wants in a vehicle and spotted a 2015 Subaru Legacy Limited that had it all! Long story short, I got approved for financing through an external bank of mine and brought a check to the dealership to finalize the purchase of the car sans any warranty (against my better judgment) as if it were cash. I worked with Mir throughout the entire process, keeping each other updated via text message and email, and not once was I treated unfairly, weird, nor suspect any funny business. Everyone was polite, even the manager and finance guys I worked with lol. What was justifiably strange, though, was that I got approved for financing the Subaru through Chase Bank/Auto Finance (whatever "Subaru's" primary financier is), but they wouldn't let me take the car home without putting a specific amount of money down. It was like being given your favorite piece of steak, cooked and seasoned the way you like, but wrapped in a vacuum-sealed bag that only the President can open in case of nuclear war. ... which is why I went through another bank of mine and got approved at 3.2% with $0 down. My payment is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I had extenuating circumstances at the time and the guys at the dealership did what they could with the power that they had. Even the regional manager got looped into everything, but he's a great guy. I felt like I was most absolutely taken care of, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mitchell Subaru for your next vehicle purchase. Also, I should take out the "short and sweet" because this was still pretty long. LOL. Thank you, Mir!

UPDATE - Rebecca from Avon of Acura conversation…read more Rebecca told my wife over the phone that they were not required to fix our car, even though it was still under full warranty. We informed her that they sold us a car with a leaking tire and that we expected them to fix it under the warranty. Rebeca then told my wife they would look at our car, but only if we took down our reviews first. We told them we would update our review once they fixed it, but we would not take them down. Rebecca then told my wife that they would look at the car but would hold it and not release it to us until we took the reviews down. My wife asked what would be done to the car, and Rebecca told her that nothing had been approved. Rebecca then told my wife to take our car somewhere else. We plan to file a fraud claim with the CT State Attorney since Acura of Avon refuses to honor the warranty they sold us. If you can't fix the car, don't offer the warranty. We will also file a complaint with the BBB, and anywhere else we can. DO NOT SHOP AT AVON OF ACURA FOR ANY REASON. Their warranties are fraudulent. They refuse to honor them.

Today, May 22, I experienced a temporary infotainment/Bluetooth issue with my 2021 Acura TLX and called the dealership to inquire about the suggested course of action. I was informed that the diagnostic fee alone would be $235. To be clear, the representative I spoke with, John, was very professional, courteous, and understanding throughout the conversation. My frustration is not with the employee -- it's with the direction the dealership appears to be taking. Over the years, what kept me loyal to Acura of Avon was the feeling that customers and long-term relationships mattered. The dealership always seemed fair, reasonable, and customer-oriented. Unfortunately, this experience felt very different. Charging nearly $250 simply to evaluate a problem -- before any repairs are even discussed -- feels excessive, especially for long-time customers who have supported the dealership for decades. Quite honestly, it left me disappointed and questioning whether I want to continue servicing my vehicle there in the future. I'm sharing this feedback because I genuinely appreciated the dealership for many years and hope management understands how these kinds of policies affect customer loyalty and trust.

He made the whole process very easy. He was clearly knowledgeable in the car I looked at, very professional and quite accommodating with my budget. After going over all the features and options, he got me in for a test drive within 20 minutes. I did some paperwork on my return and Austin let me know I'd hear from them once the credit check and paperwork was done. I spoke with Annie the next day and she too was extremely pleasant and friendly and answered any and all of my questions. Roughly 24 hours from when I first stepped in I had the good news. Austin even picked me up from my job down the street to finalize the paperwork and get into my new lease. I sat down with Ryan to go over the insurance details and he was very helpful with this whole process. What started out as a very stressful situation for me was met with a very courteous, affable group of people! The showroom was spotless, bright and inviting. The process from start to finish was easy, explained well and fast. I can't give my opinion on any other dealership to make a comparison but I can say that this is the type of service that every place should have! I am happy to have been helped by people who clearly care and will definitely be back in the future!

What a horrible experience so please enjoy the read. They have attempted to remove my reviews so…read morethey can pretend they are a great dealership and stand behind the sale and customer satisfaction. Well here are some screen shots where you can see that they knowingly sold a car with damage, lied about it, didn't disclose it was a theft recovery, mechanical issues as you can see from the lights on the dash, vehicle arrived with over 100 extra miles on it from when I purchased it to transport picking it up from them and more! My 2024 Nissan GTR was purchased through Hoffman Nissan with Gus as my point of contact. Rest assured he will take great care of you lol "hiding the damage and playing the I didn't know card" very well. Vehicle arrived with damage in all locations listed on the transport pick up sheet before it even arrived to me with 100 additional miles on it at pick up. Damaged components, alignment off, rims all had damage , mismatched tires (advised by Nissan not recommended as it can cause transmission issues) what do you know .... needs a transmission!!! (diagnosed by a local Nissan dealer!!) Said it was an issue prior to me owning the vehicle as diagnostic reports show it! They are liars and thieves and I have all the proof I need to take action. I have tried to contact Gus Loukus who has some how disappeared and does not answer phone calls, text or emails anymore after he made his money on the sale and Micheal Lapointe is no better! They both know what they did and how they lied and hid the damage and sold it to someone out of state to make the deal happen. Not only that they never reported by issues since August/ September of last year to the warranty claims department and let their guaranteed satisfaction warranty expire and not make a claim. A real clown show you have at this dealership and unfortunately with multiple attempts to have them stand up and resolve the problem they choose to run and hide instead of standing behind the sale and their brand. It is sad that a consumer has to get legal involved to have their vehicle repaired to the condition they were told it was in. I have attached screen shots showing that management wants to know what I want ......and my simple answer was the items not disclosed as damaged or having issues repaired or replaced. To then be ghosted and just ignored. It's sad you have to threaten with legal or social media exposure for a company to do the right thing anymore! Guess matters have to be taken to another level and I will make sure not only that this gets resolved but that no other consumer has to suffer and buy hidden garbage from your dealership! If you decide you would like to step up Hoffman and replace the parts on the vehicle you sold me with hidden damage you know where to find me. BTW it needs a transmission as well. If legal takes this claim over your bill goes up quite a bit and I won't go away. So why don't you make the right decision and take care of your customer. Step up and do the right thing. I will make it my life's mission to make sure I keep all social media options informed of this as well as potential customers thinking twice about spending a dollar with you.

They charged me $550 for a "front control module" in my Jeep - per their own technician's advice - which did nothing to rectify the problem it was supposed to fix. Their service manager then refused to refund that unnecessary expense to me, or give me a credit for all or some of the $550 against labor or another part that (purportedly) will ultimately fix the problem. Find another place to service your vehicle if you don't like to be separated from your hard-earned income for no reason.... UPDATE #1: The General Manager for this dealership has agreed to write off the cost of the unnecessary part and charge only for the diagnostic work previously performed - the correct call - much appreciated. Upgrading to 3 stars based on this; however, this could have been a 4 or 5 star review if they had just done right by me in the first place instead of elevating my blood pressure to an unhealthy level. UPDATE #2: Well, what do you know. We're back to one star again. Dropped off my Jeep this morning to have the "correct" part installed (we'll see), and inquired about the $550 that still hadn't been credited back to my card. Now I am being told the dealership agreed to absorb only the cost of the "correct" part and the labor to install it, but not the totally unnecessary part for which I'd already paid and the associated diagnosis time (which led to the wrong part being ordered in the first place). Awesome - just what I wanted to hear at 7 am. As stated orginally, I would not recommend servicing your vehicle with these folks.

I purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V from this dealership in August 2025, 52,000 miles and within 9 days…read moreof possession the vehicle had a major engine failure. What should have been an exciting purchase quickly turned into months of stress, uncertainty, and constantly having to chase answers. I was told that the vehicle had to be brought back to this dealership because the warranty would not cover the repair within the first 30 days of purchase. However, the dealership then kept the vehicle beyond that timeframe and ultimately processed the repair through the warranty anyway. As a result, my warranty coverage was used to repair a vehicle that, in my opinion, should not have been sold in that condition to begin with. Very sneaky! At one point, I was even made to feel like I was somehow at fault for driving the vehicle--when in reality, I purchased a car to use it, not to worry about whether normal use would cause it to fail. That moment really stuck with me. I was told they see these issues happen everyday to cars that this is normal. I was told the issues were due to the age and mileage for the vehicle. Zero accountability. After finally getting the vehicle back, the same issue happened again not long after. I completely lost confidence in both the vehicle and the dealership's ability to properly fix the problem. I was advised NOT to drive the vehicle off the lot as I would do more damage and warranty wouldn't continue to cover the repairs but they had no concerns on damage or safety having us drive 1.5 hours there twice for repairs. What made this experience worse was the way it was handled at a management level. My interactions with the general manager came across as dismissive and I was appalled by the statements made as they were very unprofessional. Honestly an embarrassment for their organization. I understand that cars can have issues--but how a dealership handles those issues matters just as much. In this case, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and how the warranty situation was handled made an already difficult situation much worse. If you find yourself in a similar situation, know that you do have options. You can file a complaint with the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, which oversees dealer practices and consumer protections. It's called the K-35 Dealer Complaint Form. I'm sharing this so others go in informed. Ask questions, document everything, and make sure you understand exactly how problems will be handled after the sale. Don't count on transparency from this dealership. They won't tell you the vehicle being sold just had a major engine repair 2 days before sale. The same engine repair that had to be fixed twice, among other parts that were affected in the process.
