If you know of an eye doctor who doesn't try to upsell you expensive eyelid lasers or amniotic sacs that are meant for burn victims, please message me. I'd love to find someone who is honest.

Completely unhelpful. Looks like I'll be finding a new doctor who wants to help patients, not just push them off on someone else or dismiss them without a consult first.

They also had an iris dialator machine that doesn't dl our your eyes like traditional eye drops which insurance doesn't cover but they were very upfront about the additional $39 cost which I appreciated. The optician was very kind as well - first time I'd dealt with an optician really outside of talking to employees at Warby Parker. She showed me frames that were covered by my insurance and didn't try to upsell me on expensive frames and even had a frame in mind for me which is the one I ended up going with. The cost of a full year supply is significant for me, but based on that information, I decided to move forward with the purchase. When I later went to submit the rebate, I discovered it was only $250. I contacted the office to address the discrepancy and was very disappointed with how it was handled. I was told it was not their responsibility, and the receptionist was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwilling to acknowledge the mistake or even offer a simple apology. While I didn't expect them to undo the purchase, I did expect some level of accountability or customer care. I followed up with an email to express my concerns and was completely ignored. It's incredibly frustrating to be misinformed about something that directly impacts a costly decision, and even more frustrating to be treated so poorly when trying to resolve it. Because of this experience, they have lost not only me as a patient, but also my husband. I would not recommend this office based on their lack of professionalism and customer service.

They're always happy to answer my questions and engage in conversation with me. Dr. Nishida is very passionate; you can tell she loves what she does. On my last visit, she recommended NeuroLens to correct a focusing issue that was causing me a lot of eye strain and stress. I wasn't sure about it - the lenses are quite pricey - but I never felt pushed, only supported. I decided to go for it and WOW, the difference is incredible. It took about three days to get used to the new lenses, but the transition was gentle, and the difference is everything. Almost immediately, my eye strain was gone; no more pain, no more headaches. If NeuroLens is recommended for you, I whole-heartedly recommend pursuing it. Definitely changed my life.

The frames were of poor quality, seemingly sourced cheaply from China. At the time, I didn't know what the going rate was, and since I knew her personally, I felt embarrassed to question the price. So, I paid the amount, trusting her and not expecting to be taken advantage of. Recently, I had an eye exam at another optometrist office (this exam was $85- no additional charges) and the doctor informed me that my eyes are fine for over-the-counter reading glasses, and I didn't need prescription lenses. Given that I have a +1.50 prescription, this made me realize I was likely overcharged for something I didn't need, which is deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and advise others to be cautious when seeking services here.

They always work with me to find the most comfortable brand of toric contact lenses, as well as a prescription for glasses. (I buy my glasses and contacts online, so I can't speak to their optician services.) As I've gotten older, now I also have farsightedness and diabetes. I mention that because not only do they continue correcting my vision accurately, with progressives, but they have a Nikon Optos retinal camera. That means that I don't have to go to a separate ophthalmologist for diabetic retinal imaging. I go once a year. It takes 30 to 40 minutes. Dr. Monji, Dr. Ichiuji, and their son Dr. Brett Monji are a good team. Kathie and Tanisha have been there for ages, and they remember me. Everything gets done as it's supposed to. Then I come back the next year.

I had a really bad experience here. I was misdiagnosed with a cataract when in fact the Lense of my…read moreeye had torn off. Some months ago I started to lose vision in my left eye. I made an appointment here. I told them my symptoms, rapid loss of vision, extreme pain and sensitivity to light. When I went in it was mostly fine until I saw the doctor. I had mentioned pain and light sensitivity. He shone a flashlight into my eye and I was struggling against the pain to keep my eye open. The doctor showed a complete lack of bedside manner. He said "Cmon man you need to open your eye!" and became increasingly frustrated. It was physically impossible to keep by eye open normally with the light being shone into it tears were running down my face and all was an impossible blur. After a few seconds he threw his arms up and said "you have a cataract, yup" We then handled exit paperwork. I had a sneaking suspicion Dr. Eghbali botched the exam as he was totally frustrated and unprofessional. So I went to a normal optometrist hole in the wall for second opinion. I was given a priority referral and am now scheduled for my operation. Dr Eghbali's diagnosis was incorrect and wholly irresponsible. His mis-diagnosis could have led to a permanent loss of vision for myself. I was very lucky. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
