I decided to try Dr. Hakopian and I was so pleased with my overall experience. She was very thorough and spent about 45 minutes with me. She carefully and patiently did an eye exam for me after I expressed I have sensitive eyes and explained every process step by step and went over the results, unlike other doctors I've been to who don't even go over your results with you. She went over my original prescription given by my previous doctor & compared it to the new prescription she was going to give me. She actually showed me on the machine the difference between my old & new prescription & how differently I was seeing between both lenses. She made recommendations to the new lenses she was going to give me & explained why she's going to prescribe those specific numbers & how that would be most beneficial for me. It's been almost 3 months since I've been using these new glasses & they are perfect! Such a major difference from the previous one to this one. No headaches, no blurriness. She doesn't take my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket, but I took a chance anyway and it was worth it!!! Very happy with my first visit with Dr. Hakopian. I now have to wear glasses for distance. Never in my life did I ever have to do that. I have different vision in both eyes. All she gave me was excuses as to why I don't have the results she expected. She even went so far to say I didn't need glasses for distance. I just needed to try harder to see the eye chart. When I demanded them she said "ok but they're going to be minimal". 2 years after the surgery and dealing with her denial I finally went to my own optometrist. He said you need stronger distance glasses. I told him she wouldn't give them to me. He gave me the CORRECT rx and I can finally see distance again. She talks too fast and evidently did my surgery too fast too. I would never recommend this office.

After the individual returned to the line, I asked why, and her reply was, "What do you want, I am busy." I pointed out her rudeness, and she promptly hung up on me. My subsequent calls went unanswered. When I called later in the day, someone picked up the phone, but it seemed to be an accidental pickup, as I could hear an unrelated conversation between the receptionist and a patient, which I found odd. I have been a patient at this office for over 30 years and have never experienced any issues until now. However, I have concluded that the current frontline employees are incapable of providing professional service or even basic politeness, so I will be seeking care from a new eye provider. I attempted to call the office to speak with the office manager to request that my medical records be sent to another medical professional.
