I was referred here from my regular optometrist in hopes I may get help with my issue. It has been over a year that I have been waiting for all the kinks to work out. Finally, I am here and waiting to be seen. After strolling thru my phone , people watching , got anixous. Theresa I heard my named called I was quickly seated. In walks in the Doctor, Doctor Choi he was very through with my exam and explained that in my situation I will need to see Oculoplastics. I am very grateful to have been seen by Doctor Choi and his staff.

This office does work during this crazy times and takes all the precautions in order for everyone to stay safe and healthy. Before entering, you knock and wait for them to open the door. Once in, they will have you do the paperwork and wait for few minutes to be taken in for your exam. Nurse Elena is so friendly and helpful. Our exam nurse Raul is a delight. He is very helpful and caring, makes you less nervous about the eye dilating procedure and leaves you feeling all positive and well. Dr. Duan is very professional, knowledgeable and humble. Answers all the questions you might have, explains everything that you need to know very thoroughly. Highly recommend them, meeting caring medical staff nowadays is just refreshing and makes you feel that you matter. Excellent care.

Support staff are not supportive. Parking located in back, mostly for staff. Doctors sometimes move around with other So Calif locations.

The day after that surgery, my lens was dislodged, and I was left not only with blurred vision but also with so much anxiety and uncertainty about what went wrong and how it could be fixed. From my very first consultation, he was thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to carefully evaluate my case and explained everything in a way that made me feel heard and reassured. I never once felt rushed or brushed off--something I truly appreciated after my previous experience. Dr. Soroudi successfully corrected the original issue and re-did the LASIK procedure with precision and care. The difference was night and day--not just in my vision, but in the entire surgical experience. Thanks to him, I can finally see clearly again, and I'm beyond grateful for his expertise and dedication. If you're looking for someone who truly knows what they're doing and actually cares about your outcome, I highly recommend Dr. Soroudi. He turned a very stressful situation into a complete success.

I called the office six times before finally reaching a live person. When I requested not to be put on hold, I was placed on hold regardless. After the individual returned to the line, I asked why, and her reply was, "What do you want, I am busy." I pointed out her rudeness, and she promptly hung up on me. My subsequent calls went unanswered. When I called later in the day, someone picked up the phone, but it seemed to be an accidental pickup, as I could hear an unrelated conversation between the receptionist and a patient, which I found odd. I have been a patient at this office for over 30 years and have never experienced any issues until now. However, I have concluded that the current frontline employees are incapable of providing professional service or even basic politeness, so I will be seeking care from a new eye provider. I attempted to call the office to speak with the office manager to request that my medical records be sent to another medical professional. I was informed the office manager was unavailable and that someone named Helen would contact me regarding my records; however, I have still received no communication from the office.

Unfortunately, my experience with two staff members was disappointing. One seemed rushed and did not clearly warn me before touching my eye with a laser, which caused me to flinch. She appeared impatient afterward, and the interaction felt lacking in bedside manner. After my exam, my pupils were dilated. While I had my own sunglasses, I requested the disposable shades typically provided after eye exams for additional protection. The receptionist initially told me I didn't need them and later explained they had run out. It's a shame, because Dr. Gutmark is a very good doctor, but the staff experience detracted from an otherwise positive visit.

This is the second time we come to a Specialty Eye Care facility, and if it weren't that the doctor recommends a follow up on today's appointment I would never come here again. When making the appointment over a month ago I mentioned to whoever I spoke to the reason for the appointment. The scheduled me to this location. Our appointment was at 10:45am and we arrived at 10:46 am. We first checked in with the receptionist and she told us to take a seat. After 10-15 minutes of waiting they call us back to ask why we were there and if there was an authorization on file. I mentioned how when I called in to book the appointment they just scheduled me and that was it. She asked if the insurance approved a prescription for glasses. I told her I was aware glasses weren't covered but that I would pay for that out of pocket. After waiting for over an hour, it being 11:45am at this point I asked how much longer was the wait since I did have to go back to work. She said there were still 3 people ahead of us. We continued waiting and after 20 more minutes they finally called my mom's name. The medical assistant started asking a few questions and did a few testes. They asked about the medication list and for the most part the medication was wrong. That should've been my final red flag. We were taken to the room to wait for the doctor to come in. Not 5 minutes later we hear the medical assistant calling out for my mom out in the waiting room. There is where it clicked that there was another patient with my moms same first and last name but not second last name. They didn't make sure about what patient was who. The medical assistant had to correct both charts. She then tells me that for her glasses the prescription would be $50 since her insurance didn't cover it. I told her I wasn't aware. The communication and rudeness from mostly everyone from this office is insane. The doctor was nice and informative. But not worth the 2 hours that it took to be seen. Save your time, money and sanity go to Costco and it will be a better experience.
