Jonathon from HLI knocked on my door this morning and we discussed trimming my trees. He and I negotiated a reasonable price and his crew of 4 got the work done in 60-75 minutes. They cleaned up the mess and the trees look wonderful. Excellent job. Thanks Jonathon and HLI. read more

I had a very smooth and pleasant experience with these guys. Jesus gave me a very good price for a big complex job that I could not refuse. He and his crew were really carefull, organized and very profesional the whole time, it was a joy to see them doing the work. Jesus, the guy in charge, works with his team the whole time, answering questions, explaining the process, and making sure the crew leaves everything clean and neat. Im very satisfied with their satisfied and they're highly recommended. read more

They took my $2500 and didn't finish the job! My fault for paying before the job was completed. I get that. But these guys cut four trees, broke my fence and left the entire yard unfinished. There are branches and debris all over the yard. I called to ask if they were done and if they planned to trim the bushes as agreed upon in the price, but I am now being ignored and my yard remains unfinished and trashed. The only thing they have done is cash my check and run. I would not recommend taking the chance with this company. Huge mistake. read more

Did a great job trimming my giant pine trees! Excellent service! Thanks to Johnathan and his crew!

Our doorbell rang twice shortly past noon. I could not believe! It was Martin. Martin said he was at our house this morning at 7:30 a.m. We did not expect anyone to come today as that was not scheduled. But we were happy anyway. Martin and his worker got to work right away and got rid of the remaining weed roots and clumps missed the first time. Done within a half hour. Thank you. We feel appreciated. We will keep Martin and HLI Tree Experts in mind after we have more trees ready to trim. read more

Called them out for an estimate to remove two trees that were planted by the previous owner; one too close to the foundation and the other right on top of a fence. They came out later that day for an estimate and had the trees taken care of a couple days later as planned. Very friendly and felt like a good price considering the size of one of the trees. I would use them again. They left no mess or damage. read more

We had overgrown trees on our property line that needed trimming and thinning out as well and some shrubs that needed to be cut back. Jonathon gave us a good price and his crew showed up on time, did an excellent job of cleaning up and hauling away the cuttings. Jonathon is so courteous, a great listener and a hard worker. I will not hesitate to use HLI Tree Experts again. read more

This company & it's guys are amazing. About 5 days of heavy tree removal of 6 trees in Lake Arrowhead/Skyforest. Leo and all of his crew were great. They beat all other quotes and delivered as stated. They have new gear which makes the operation go smooth, no second guessing. My advice, be present the entire time they are cutting, as in stay outside. It doesn't hurt to supervise from a safe distance. It's your property, they seem to respect that as long as you stay out of the way. You also don't have to worry about what you wish they did or didn't do as they seemed more than happy to deliver on any request. read more

His crew was all very friendly and professional. Our job was a tough one and they stepped up to the plate. Now to wait and see how it all grows. I would definitely recommend this company read more

Impressively professional, highly skilled, safe, and reasonable. We have 30 yr old pines in our yard. We love them, but they were dangerously overgrown. HLI came in with a great bid, quick service and beautiful results. The crew were surgeons with their chainsaws and left our trees more beautiful than ever and we no longer fear they will blow over with the high winds. HIGHLY recommend especially if you have a tight space. They navigated our patio cover, fence, and did not damage our concrete. Also, they cleaned up every scrap and were done in just a couple of hours. Best landscaping dollars we've ever spent. read more

Needed one tree removed and one tree trimmed. Price was $300 less than I expected. Probably 10 workers arrived at 7:30 AM with a cherry picker, and wood chipper, and other requisite machinery. They all went to work in a flurry of activity. Here's the surprising part: Although wood chips and dust and stuff went flying and was all over the street and in my yard, by the time they left it was as if they had not been there. No mess. Just perfect! In a short three hours they were gone. read more

I needed a termite infested tree and another tree to be trimmed. I had a representative from HLI at my house within two hours of calling. The quote was very reasonable. The tree was removed/trimmed a few days later. The worker did a fantastic job removing all the tree debris, filled where the tree was removed. I definitely would use HLI again. Friendly, helpful and courteous at a great price. read more

So I sent these people pictures of my Palm tree all I needed was a quote to have someone tell me if it was dead or alive or worth saving. The only response i got via Text is "BYE" like Bye felicia?? How unprofessional. A simple "No thank you" or "Sorry we are closed" Learn how to respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner, it goes a LONG way nowadays. read more

HLI Tree Experts are truly an amazing company. I reached out to Javier late afternoon on Sunday and within three hours or less, two trees had been pruned and one removed the following day. The team of five were super efficient, clean, professional and extremely safety conscious of their surroundings. True story, my neighbors were so impressed with their work, they had their tree cut down that very same day at a super affordable price. HLI Tree Experts are highly recommended when it comes to giving your property value a face lift. read more

Contacted company and had a quote same day, price was more than fair, very reasonable. Tree crew came next day, they said they would be to my home at 7:30 and they were on time at 7:20 ready to work at 7:30. Couldn't be more happy with the work they did, everything we discussed was executed with precision. Trees look great would highly recommend and will be using for all tree trimming services from this point forward. read more

If you are going purely on budget, then HLI is worth using. If you end up using them, then be prepared for the "Bull in the China shop" approach to tree cutting/removal. The crew seems to work as fast as they possibly can; not really caring about the house or the plants in the yard. More than half of our ground plantings are thrashed. The drip system for half the yard was ripped out from the clean-up crew. To make matters worse, they literally dropped heavy large branches that scraped the stucco walls of the house. Additionally, their dropping, rather than lowering via rope approach, put divots in our driveway and street. I would only recommend them if you had trees in the middle of a field; where nothing surrounding them would be damaged. read more

The rainy and windy season is a very dangerous time for anyone with eucalyptus trees. Jesus N. came to my door and explain everything that needed to be done regarding the safety and care for my trees. Saw the neighbors getting their trees done and Jonathan (one of the workers) was out front. I walked over and asked him for a quote on cleaning up 8 palm trees. The palms look great and they did an amazing job cleaning up after themselves. Jonathan was very professional and followed through to make sure everything was done just right. I called HLI asked them to remove a large limb hanging over my driveway. The limb has broken two times before and landed on my car. Luckily no major damage. HLI called quoted me 500 to remove the limb. They came the next morning, promptly. Cut one of the sections off the limb but left a big bunch still overhanging the driveway. The cost went up 300 at that point. They cut it safely however they left my driveway completely covered in branches. I had to cut a pathway so I could attempt to park my car in the driveway. I contacted them asking them to move the branches so I could use my driveway and they refused unless I paid more money. Get their quotes in writing because they keep up charging for everything once they get to your property. read more
