I am so happy today after Melendez Tree Service completed their work, trimming and skinning my palm trees. Before laying down all new mulch, I wanted to clean up the trees. When Luis Melendez arrived, he did so with a huge chipper machine and a huge box truck to haul away other refuse. In addition he arrived himself and three other men. I assumed there would be only two but three was a great idea. The men proceeded to the backyard where they received their directive from the boss, Luis and began without question. Owner Luis Melendez personally trained this and his other teams out on the jobs in the field. Mr. Luis Melendez had everything and everyone under control and on schedule. He watched to make sure all men were proceeding safely and they already knew not to step on my ground plants. He also inspected every phase of them trimming three different type of palms and added any spontaneous comments to his men while working. Whereas I thought the skinning process was done by machine, it was actually done one by one and layer after layer on the trunks of the trees. His men were careful and diligent in their mission. What a site to watch them using a chain saw, a hand saw and utility knives to create an artistic pattern of the rings of the tree as it had grown. All is so well done and a pleasure to view. Luis M. also told me the exact names of each different palm and that different types of cutting are often required. Before dropping palm leaves which are quite long and heavy, they had spread a tarp on my patio to protect it. They picked up all the palm leaves, the many skins, raked the grounds and swept the refuse. The patio was left clean. I did not have to do anything. The Team was finished with all the trees and trunks in one hour. You would not know any work had taken place except for the beautifully clean and elegant palms which will contribute to the a lovely look for my backyard. This is the type of contractor with whom I prefer to deal. Mr. Melendez; from the beginning, was courteous and professional.I would recommend him highly and surely call on him again for more service. He is completely trustworthy & skilled. 8/20/26 read more

Excellent work! Melendez Tree Services was quick and works clean. Very professional and polite crew members. Tree looks good and ready for the next years to come. They don't just cut the branches, they made sure when the leaves come back, the shape of the tree will look clean and perfectly even on all sides. Don't, just don't. Broken pipe from shovel. Broken valve from stepping in it. Forgot to do things we discussed. CHOPPED my tree back when it was just supposed to be laced out. Going to take years to grow back. Trampled bushes. Just don't... I'm going back to Lopez Tree Service. He knows how to lace a tree. read more

I called Luis at 7:30am and he responded. Asked for pictures of the shrubs I needed removed. He responded with a competitive price and was able to fit me in that day. He arrived as promised and within 30 minutes the 4 large shrubs were removed and the yard was cleaner after they were done vs when they arrived. Excellent company. Can't go wrong with having them deal with your tree removal and trimming read more

We're in the process of rethinking our yards, and figured that the trees were long overdue for a trim. I reached out to Melendez Tree Service via Yelp messaging, and they provided fairly quickly! We were able to get a date/time arranged for a visit to quote the work in the following days. Louie came on time on the day of the quote. We walked both yards to see the trees that would need to be trimmed, and he double-checked with me on the trees to be trimmed before providing a quote. The quote wasn't too bad. Due to it being a fairly busy season and he already had his return customers scheduling with him, there wouldn't be any availability for several weeks. We at least slotted a day/time for his next available (around 3 or 4 weeks away)., but with the note that if someone last-minute canceled, then he'd let me know. In the end, my gardener was able to get my trees trimmed last-minute, so I had to cancel my request with Louie. But 5 stars for the quick response, on-time visit, fair quote, and overall professionalism! read more

I'm very happy with the work done by Melendez Tree Service. Louie and his team are great! I had a giant Queen Palm tree and another very large tree cut down to the stumps. They were so quick, and they left my yard cleaner then it was when they arrived. Great tree service! read more

They were amazing. The cost was half the price as any other quote we got. They are licensed and insured for peace of mind. We had to get 3 big queen palms removed because they are causing damage to our wall and pool area. We plan to use them again to remove even more trees that unfortunately were also planted too close to the wall when the home was built before we bought it. Amazing quality of work and the speed at which they finished the job was great. read more

Louie Melendez runs an exceptional tree service business! Called to have numerous huge palms and giant birds of paradise trimmed and shaped and they came even ahead of time and took care of all least 8 palms, trimmed a piguana tree to a beautiful shape, ground it all up, cleaned the area and were gone! Oh yeah, and for nearly half of what I've been paying for the same service. I highly recommend Louie Melendez tree service with complete confidence. read more

Louie and his team were great to work with! I had an old oak tree that was severely overgrown when I purchased my home, and my insurance needed me to cut it back away from the house. I originally wanted it cut down to save the headache. Every local tree service was at lead double in price and couldn't guarantee quick service. I asked Louie to trim it completely back and allow for time to regrow. His team was quick and were able to schedule and complete the job in a timely manner and save the tree. I will definitely be recommending him to all my friends and family. read more

Melendez Tree Service - My backyard - Tree Services Near Me - Corona, California

We hired this Tree Service to come to our house to cut our back tree that our dogs use for shade when they came to give us a quote. We were very specific about how we wanted the tree cut. They arrived for their appointment and we secure their services to my surprise, when the job was done, they had completely cut 90% of the tree and left no shade for the dogs when I spoke with the owner at the end of the job and stated that my wife was very specific about how she wanted the tree cut, even walked him through the process he stated that it was a mistake on their part I think they can learn from this and hopefully moving forward communicate with the customers to make sure that they are not just repetitive same service for all customers as not everybody wants the landscaping done the same read more

I had 5 different tree service companies come out to quote the work I needed. I had a decent-sized tree, one dead tree, a small tree that kept coming back, and a stump that I was having issues with. Melendez came in with a quote for all of the work at a price I felt was fair. No other company could beat their quote. Communicating with this company was super easy, fast, and precise. The day they arrived exactly when they said they would, performed all of the work so fast that I was speechless. They did an amazing job and were in and out in no more than 40 minutes. A well-oiled machine this crew was. I'm very impressed with not only their work but their professionalism. read more

This review is purely on responsiveness since I didn't actually end up getting my trees serviced with Luis. I have a couple of trees that were leaning due to softened soils because of the heavy rain yesterday, and I also needed another tree trimmed so I reached out to several companies for estimates. Luis was very responsive, asked for pictures and had follow-up questions via text. He gave me a very competitive price but I ultimately ended up going with someone else that completed work recently for a family member. I may end up reaching out to Luis in the future since he was so helpful and responsive. read more

Prompt, professional, and reasonably priced - what more can you ask for?! Louie promptly provided a quote and answered follow-up questions. We met to go over detailed instructions for our tree trimming. He worked with his crew and provided direct supervision for the entire project. If he had a question, he asked us. We greatly appreciated that. Highly recommended. read more

Louis and his crew showed up over an hour early (which was fine), having texted and called to let me know they were on the way. They did a great job trimming our tree, following my requests exactly. I was concerned the tree would be scalped to just a bundle of sticks, so I specifically asked them to go easy on it. They left plenty of foliage, as requested (see photos). When they were done, we walked around the tree together and they trimmed the few areas I wanted a little tighter, for better shape. They cleaned up everything perfectly when they were done. I'd definitely recommend them. Extra special detail: I noticed while they were working that they found a bird's nest in the tree. I was pleased to see that they actually replaced where they found it after they were done. +1 for being animal friendly. :-) read more

Responsive to messages. Essentially same day service. Quality work. Not sure what more you'd want. I will definitely hire them again. Here's the thing I was most impressed with. It was my first time trying Yelp Projects and it was great to see the various quotes come in quickly. I chose Melendez Tree Service after I saw they were Yelp verified, and they gave me one of the best quotes, was communicative, and they were a service for trees specifically (vs. many others who primarily do landscape). After we scheduled service, the crew came to cut down one fan palm tree, ground the stump down (as if the tree was never there!), and trimmed/skinned 3 of my queen palms. The whole job only took 1.5hrs which was surprisingly fast! The crew was very efficient and cleaned up completely after themselves. Louie was easy to work with, and I would definitely recommend them! read more

Tree was gone, whatever had fallen into the pool was retrieved and left clean as if tree was never there. Please with his and guys work. they were friendly, efficient, cleaned up after themselves. Quality, speed, value. Trustworthy and dependable!! Very prompt and helpful communications, easy Zelle payment.

Had 3 big trees that needed trimming. They offered not the lowest but very low estimate. I decided to go with them based on their reviews and value. Very responsive to messages came a little late from another job, but it was OK as they called me ahead of my scheduled appointment to let me know.
