Luckily yelp did not disappoint! Visiting Sebastopol and venturing from my Air B&B went in search for pizza and am very happy we came here! Pizza was like Mellow Mushroom from NorCal in consistency and had great selection of flavor combinations. We got a half Jalisco Carnitas and half Alex Special (pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeños). Very tasty! The house made buttermilk ranch was delish! Mel was the true Gem of the establishment. Great customer service suggesting beers and knowing the answers to all of our questions. She even recommended and ice cream shop down the street we enjoyed afterward. She was not only knowledgeable, but friendly and warm. If you'd like to eat at a smaller private establishment and enjoy your time and your pizza- this spot is perfect on a Sunday evening! Thanks everyone!! read more

Best pizza in Sebastopol? Absolutely. Best pizza in Sonoma County? I think also yes. Great crust, great flavor. Consistently delicious. Had to edit and downgrade to 3 stars from 5. Service has been continually terrible. Once they forgot our order and we ended up waiting 45 minutes. Another time they burnt the pizza and had to remake it (they did give it to us for free) then the next time they said our pizza exploded and there was a hole in the middle of it and they had to remake it (this time they gave no discount whatsoever and hardly apologized). There were a couple other bad experiences as well. So.... needless to say after all of this I can longer give them 5 stars. Pizza still tastes fine though, but be prepared to wait a long time and have sometimes unapologetically bad service read more

The food is always great. Very impressed with the menu. I love the outdoor seating area. Inside is good too. I'd give 5 stars but there was one time we called in an order for take out and when we got there 30-40 minutes later to pick up the order it wasn't even put in the system. We moved to Sebastopol in 2020 and have slowly been trying all the pizza places... this is by FAR the best pizza we've had in years! Not greasy... kind of artisan style pizzas... Great crust, and the pizzas had such great flavor. We had a Margherita and a Rocky Chicken. The fresh ingredients really come through. We tried the Mac c'n cheese with bacon and pesto added to it. Wow! Delicious! Never would've thought of adding pesto, but it works. Hate to do this. I love my gf pizzas from here. I've l been coming here once a month since they opened. The last few times I tried to call in a gluten free pizza, they told me they were out. They said "a lady ordered 5 gf pizzas" the first time (8/12). I figured ok, it was a party. Second time I called (9/1) same excuse except it was a lady who bought "9 gf pizzas before me". Yah it's Seb and ok maybe someone is having a "gluten free party" but the last time this happened a year ago, I alerted Alex that I wasn't able to order a gf pizza for months and he was baffled. I'm wondering if they aren't ordering enough gf dough or if the pizza makers are unwilling to make the gf pizzas. Best pizza we've found since moving to Sonoma County! Totally delicious and not greasy! Crust is perfect! I just wish they delivered though. We would probably order more often! Hopefully that will be offered in the future. Update- ordered a pizza from door dash today. They ended up bringing us a gluten free ham & pineapple pizza. We tried to eat it. I used to go to Hippizzazz as a regular, there happy hour special was pretty good so I would frequent it often. But the Owner Alex Britton is as Asshole. He lied about me and then banned me from the premises. Mr, Britton accused me of stealing a phone from the store. I did not. I found a Phone in the Bathroom that someone had left behind. I attempted to turn it in to the management,but there was no one manning the register. so I left with the phone walked around to the post office next door and spent the next 30 minutes tracking down the owner. It turns out it belonged to an employee how had irresponsible left his phone behind and did not know it. when the employee came out to retrieve the phone I knew it was not over. The employee went back and told Mr, Britton I had taken the phone, with the implication that I had stolen it. Mr. Britton then took it upon himself to meet out punishment based on this employees statements, it the form of Public humiliation, slander and banishment. So much for being a Good Samaratin. Mr. Britton has a reputation, according to former employees for being very cruel to people. I know it to well. If Mr. Britton thought I had stolen he should have called the police. He did not because he knew I did not steal according to the Law. I took the phone with the intent of finding the owner. My action proved that. the owner was reunited with his phone. Growing up by NY I honestly think the majority of the pie around here is subpar, but as far as deep dish za goes, Hippizzazz makes a deliciously stellar Detroit style deep dish pizza. I am gluten free...and I actually get sick if I eat wheat. The condition is called Celiac or being Celiac. Eating well is a challenge, particularly if I am going to eat out. The gluten free fad that has swept the country has benefitted me personally because I now enjoy more choices when dining. Pizza, being one of my favorite foods, has never been a winner because the gluten free crust available is a frozen piece of cardboard like substance designed to convey the topping into my mouth. HIPPIZAZZ PIZZA, and owner, ALEX, have solved the problem of lousy crust. He makes a gluten free crust that actually tastes really good and comes in any size I want. Thank You Alex. This is not a fancy place but it is comfortable and the food and service are excellent! Everything is made with care. They don't just throw stuff on a crust and cover it with a mound of cheese and bake it like the other places. Every pizza is meticulously made to order for you. They have vegan, gluten free, organic and all the conventional pizzas that you would expect to find. But their menu also has strombolies, calzones, salads, sliders and more! Great spot for a quick snack it a full meal. What's nice is the ingredients are fresh and also full of flavor. Went in on a slow Sunday afternoon with my son. We thought maybe we'd get slices but instead decided to split the calzone. Great choice. The dough in the crust is just right. Not too thin or thick and a wonderful chewy texture. I came across this pizza joint by chance while looking for food while traveling. I looked at the pictures on the yelp page and decided it was the first thing my boyfriend and I would be doing the next morning. The owner welcomed us and served the most incredible pizza! My boyfriend is from Chicago and hasn't had good pizza since he moved to Cali, and let me tell you he was ecstatic upon his first bite. After consuming a whole pizza between the two of us, we had to finish off our visit with the homemade friendship bread that was off the charts!
