    Caesar Salad was fantastic!
    Scott M.

I just recently learned about Acre's new Pasta-focussed location in the Barlow in Sebastopol - the aptly named Acre Pasta. Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to give it a try. The menu is focussed, but features a nice range of dishes, from antipasti, salads, sides, pasta plates. They had just opened at 4p, about a half hour beforehand, so we were there early and enjoyed sitting on the patio in the afternoon. The service was fantastic, we were quickly seated, served water/menus, and offered information on the menu items. We decided to start with the Caesar, and ordered garlic bread and the Baked Alla Norma pasta. The salad came out quickly and was among the best Caesar salads I have had! The anchovies were firm and delightful, and the mix of lettuce and chicory added depth. The dressing was thick, but not overbearing, and it was topped with fresh breadcrumbs rather than croutons - which ended up providing a light crunch to every bite. Fantastic salad! The Baked Alla Norma was also a surprisingly delightful dish. It appeared to be made of handmade pasta, rolled into little tubes, similar to a penne pasta. The sauce was rich, and filled with bite sized pieces of eggplant and fresh Italian sausage, and topped with the same amazing breadcrumbs used on the salad. We loved every bite! This was kind of a late-afternoon snack, so we didn't have desert, but we were both excited to come back and explore the menu - everything we had was delightful - including the attentive and friendly service! A great new addition to the Barlow! The sign on the door said they would be expanding hours and opening for lunch shortly - so keep an eye out for expanded hours! Congrats Acre team - Acre Pasta is a great new addition to an already proven and successful collection of restaurants!

This is a really good spot for a romantic dinner. You can either just sit outside or eat inside. I had the Norma lasagna and my husband had the special of the day which was steak and some pasta. Everybody was really nice and accommodating. It was perfect for our date night

Darling little pasta restaurant located in the Barlow in Sebastopol that feels like a neighborhood restaurant. Loved the wall decorations. Acre Pasta has a simple menu and dishes. Our dishes were served hot and the flavors were great. Service was actually pretty prompt even though the place was busy. Nice addition to the Barlow.

Decided to try Acre Pasta as they recently opened. Food was ok. Not super flavorful, but was filling. I wasn't a fan of the garlic bread, as something about it tasted off, and left a chalky like after taste in both mine and my friends mouth. There's are signs both outside and inside that say "please wait to be seated", so we did. It took us a while to get seated. It seemed like staff was talking to one another and laughing (which is fine to do), however there was a line starting to form behind us. We arrived before the dinner rush so it was not packed inside or outside. Someone finally noticed we hadn't been seated and sternly told the person in charge of seating to sit us down. Inside decor and ambiance is very nice. I loved the colors and decor they chose. Service overall definitely need improvement. Likely won't try again for a while until they are more settled in to give them time to work on the kinks and routine of their establishment.

Being a long-time Sebastapudlian, I was delighted to find out how totally delicious and (dare I say), reasonably priced the new Acre Pasta is. And it's in the Barlow! Small, but perfect menu. Tender, handmade and adorable pasta. I had the vegan pesto Tagliatelle (No, I'm not a vegan), No basil - it was made from fresh peas, crisp asparagus and a cashew cream sauce with a hint of lime zest. Crazy good! In that "I can't believe I haven't eaten here yet" kind of good. My daughter had the Papperdelle al Ragu which was rich and zesty. Both dishes were super fresh and carefully prepared. We ate on the patio. Jeff, the restaurant manager was warm, attentive and the perfect host. Yay Acre Pasta!

Love their crust. Thin and crunchy. Pizza is delicious. You can order by the slice and get a salad to go with it. We eat there often

I circled for 10 minutes before finding a spot, so factor in finding a spot if you're going to visit. Very cute restaurant, but it's so loud half the time you can't hear the person next to you. The workers are super attentive and kind! They work their butts off! Garlic Knots (5/5 stars) - If you love garlic, they do not hold back here! You will smell terrible but who cares it tastes amazing! The bread is nice and buttery. A must order! Seared Tomino (4/5) - The eggplant caponata was very good and the pest oil was addicting! I didn't eat the tomino but my friends said it was very good. Minus one star as the garlic bread wasn't very garlicky, and crust was hard and razor sharp. Be careful when biting! Earl Grey Tea (5/5) - They give you a generous amount of tea! I love that it wasn't a tea bag. Overall, lot a fans will be sad to see this place go.

We each ordered a cocktail and also brought a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner. We shared the kimchi pancake, a bao bun, lamb skewers, and the cod for dinner. This restaurant has the savory items down pat. Every dish felt unique and curated with so much flavor annoy was presented so beautifully. If I had to nitpick anything on the menu, it would have to be the desserts. I almost wish they either didn't offer desserts at all or partnered with a patisserie to provide something more than churros and chocolate mousse. It just felt very lackluster for such a fine establishment. Overall, I am so happy I enjoyed this restaurant as much as I did! It had been on my list for quite a while, and I'm so glad that I finally got to try it out!

I ordered the smashburger and my wife got the salad with fried chicken. She also got a mocktail. Both of our meals were tasty but you have to order fries separately when you get the burger...grhhhh!!! $24 for a burger that doesn't even come with the regular fixings (no lettuce, tomato, onions, etc), I think it's a bit crazy to not even include fries. However, the burger and the added fries were still tasty! Our server was also very friendly and at tentative. The decor and interior design was beautiful as well, tons of plants and wooden furniture. However they had a taxidermy hawk on display, which I'm 99% isn't legal. It's quirky but hawks are indeed protected by fed/state law and are not legal to possess. Great restaurant, but quite pricy and some slightly questionable decor!

I made a reservation for 6pm on the deck as it had seatbacks and my husband has a bad back and can't sit on a picnic table. It's an elevated section above the beer garden, which that night had a singer with guitar. Service was pleasant though a little slow with drinks but they were pretty busy. We both had margaritas to start, which were $16 plus $3 for call brand so $19 each. Pretty good but not too strong. I then had the Hopmunk hefewisen beer which was only $8, much more reasonable. I had the Biergarten cheeseburger on a pretzel bun, cooked perfectly medium rare. Served with caramelized onions, bacon, smoked Gouda and a beer cheese, it was tasty but pretty messy! Cost was $23 plus I subbed a kale Caesar for $2 which was good but not worth the hype as a little dry. Husband had the grilled mole chicken with mole sauce and Spanish rice for $24. It was a large portion with two pieces of chicken and he enjoyed it. We then saw a show in the stone tavern next to the beer garden. It's an intimate venue with not a bad view in the house. We had seats because my husband is disabled so we're right in the front row. Otherwise it was standing only. Great acoustics and venue. The wings, however, were excellent and easily the best thing we ordered. The pickle fries were the miss for me -- house made, which sounded promising, but there was barely any actual pickle inside.
