    Caesar Salad was fantastic!
    Scott M.

I just recently learned about Acre's new Pasta-focussed location in the Barlow in Sebastopol - the aptly named Acre Pasta. Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to give it a try. The menu is focussed, but features a nice range of dishes, from antipasti, salads, sides, pasta plates. They had just opened at 4p, about a half hour beforehand, so we were there early and enjoyed sitting on the patio in the afternoon. The service was fantastic, we were quickly seated, served water/menus, and offered information on the menu items. We decided to start with the Caesar, and ordered garlic bread and the Baked Alla Norma pasta. The salad came out quickly and was among the best Caesar salads I have had! The anchovies were firm and delightful, and the mix of lettuce and chicory added depth. The dressing was thick, but not overbearing, and it was topped with fresh breadcrumbs rather than croutons - which ended up providing a light crunch to every bite. Fantastic salad! The Baked Alla Norma was also a surprisingly delightful dish. It appeared to be made of handmade pasta, rolled into little tubes, similar to a penne pasta. The sauce was rich, and filled with bite sized pieces of eggplant and fresh Italian sausage, and topped with the same amazing breadcrumbs used on the salad. We loved every bite! This was kind of a late-afternoon snack, so we didn't have desert, but we were both excited to come back and explore the menu - everything we had was delightful - including the attentive and friendly service! A great new addition to the Barlow! The sign on the door said they would be expanding hours and opening for lunch shortly - so keep an eye out for expanded hours! Congrats Acre team - Acre Pasta is a great new addition to an already proven and successful collection of restaurants!

This is a really good spot for a romantic dinner. You can either just sit outside or eat inside. I had the Norma lasagna and my husband had the special of the day which was steak and some pasta. Everybody was really nice and accommodating. It was perfect for our date night

Darling little pasta restaurant located in the Barlow in Sebastopol that feels like a neighborhood restaurant. Loved the wall decorations. Acre Pasta has a simple menu and dishes. Our dishes were served hot and the flavors were great. Service was actually pretty prompt even though the place was busy. Nice addition to the Barlow.

Decided to try Acre Pasta as they recently opened. Food was ok. Not super flavorful, but was filling. I wasn't a fan of the garlic bread, as something about it tasted off, and left a chalky like after taste in both mine and my friends mouth. There's are signs both outside and inside that say "please wait to be seated", so we did. It took us a while to get seated. It seemed like staff was talking to one another and laughing (which is fine to do), however there was a line starting to form behind us. We arrived before the dinner rush so it was not packed inside or outside. Someone finally noticed we hadn't been seated and sternly told the person in charge of seating to sit us down. Inside decor and ambiance is very nice. I loved the colors and decor they chose. Service overall definitely need improvement. Likely won't try again for a while until they are more settled in to give them time to work on the kinks and routine of their establishment.

Being a long-time Sebastapudlian, I was delighted to find out how totally delicious and (dare I say), reasonably priced the new Acre Pasta is. And it's in the Barlow! Small, but perfect menu. Tender, handmade and adorable pasta. I had the vegan pesto Tagliatelle (No, I'm not a vegan), No basil - it was made from fresh peas, crisp asparagus and a cashew cream sauce with a hint of lime zest. Crazy good! In that "I can't believe I haven't eaten here yet" kind of good. My daughter had the Papperdelle al Ragu which was rich and zesty. Both dishes were super fresh and carefully prepared. We ate on the patio. Jeff, the restaurant manager was warm, attentive and the perfect host. Yay Acre Pasta!

Love their crust. Thin and crunchy. Pizza is delicious. You can order by the slice and get a salad to go with it. We eat there often

My wife and I had to wait more than a half a hour for our food after ordering and we came at 4pm. Disappointed.

It's inviting vs the stuffy atmosphere some places have. BABAGANOUSH PITA we got it for the kiddo expecting it to be run of the mill stuff you get. But the babaganoush had the extreme rich flavors of smoked eggplant and felt like almost half an eggplant went in there. Not diluted with tahini, garlic, just pure flavors of eggplant with tanginess of sumac. LITTLE GEM SALAD WITH RAINBOW TROUT was hearty, leafy and very refreshing. The pickled celery was the surprise. HAMACHI CRUDO - beautifully assembled with thoughtfulness, light, refreshing. A bunch of flavor bombs in there so each bite is an adventure. Basil making it refreshing, earthy crunch from hazelnut, sharpness from green onion, sweet tart kiwis. I think a bit of citrus would make this a superstar. Mandolin shaved limes perhaps? GRILLED MAITAKE MUSHROOMS - ok I think this was the chefs most technically impressive dish, with an exercise in playing with bitter profiles and turning it into a master piece. Grilled maitake gets the char from the grill is the first flavor layer, it's woken up by the wild thyme from the zatar. Next the Japanese turnips bring the second dimension with earthy beautiful bitter notes on a bed of a creamy tahini based sauce. It's finished with fresh parsley to bring a fresh element to it. Great stuff. Could raddichio be added to make this more challenging? I saw those crunchy POTATOES and I got them even after eating the meal lol. Do yourself a favor and just get them - they're hot, crunchy and perfect to pair with the vegetables. Finally we got their chocolate mousse with bruleéd bananas sorry couldn't take a picture before it was all gone. Great way to wrap. The staff were all super friendly and helped with picking things from the menu! I got the mystery glass of wine and they had made a fun game out of it. The Beaujolais was great too. Overall when you're surrounded by these amazing farms, vineyards and ocean - no better way than to bring them together - kudos to the creators of the Redwood for making this place with intentionality. I wanted to get the squash, duck pâté, spring pea salad, tinned fish items as well, I guess for next time!
