My husband and I were crazing pizza- he found Acre Pizza while we were visiting Santa Rosa. Wow the crust was thin and light- so good! The different toppings were all very tasty. The arugula salad was huge and fresh. You order at the counter then wait for the delicious food to arrive read more

Was in the area for lunch. Saw this pizza place and found out they use sourdough base. Decided to get a few slices and sat across the street near the play area. I didnt know a giant slice is essentially 2 large slices. I ended up getting twice the slices I was prepared for :D All the slices were really good. Specially the pepperoni and the one with the potato. This is one of those times when we didnt even spare the crust. As for the extra pizza, we ate that for breakfast. read more

Eat your heart out, Dave Portnoy. Acre Pizza in Sebastopol proves to be worthy of the hype. Located in the funky Barlow district, along with many other great dining options, this place serves a generous slice for only $7, or large NY style pizzas priced in the mid to high $20's. They also serve Detroit style options, along with salads, beer, and wine. Yum! read more

Love the ability to get pizza by the slice here and boy are they substantial! Good deal for $8 - you get two large slices of pizza (1/4 of large pie!). They will heat up the slices for you after ordering. We were lucky that they had summer special with corn available! There is plenty of inside and dog friendly patio seating. It is self order at the counter and they will bring your order to the table. The water is self service and they also specifically request customer self-bus tables - I'm very happy to do all these things but I found myself wondering what are the tipping options for? Service at the counter was prompt and friendly for sure but tipping culture seems to have gotten out of hand for fast casual. I would say the prices are very reasonable here and the inside is decorated nicely and plenty of free parking on the street. read more

This a very pleaseant place. Deep-dish pizza can be hard to find and they do a great job here.

Had the luck to try Acre after an event at the community center. Initially just got a slice of the roasted broccoli, but because that was so good, decided on getting another slice of hot honey pepperoni and the funghi. All the pizza slices were incredible. The ingredients were flavorful and the thin crust was crispy, yet dissolved without much effort. After splitting 3 slices I didn't feel weighed down at all. Great spot in Sebastopol. read more

Alright the lack of cheese & toppings has gotten ridiculous; we get food inflation is bad but add a couple of bucks to the price. A large pizza with a few ounces of cheese is just a slice of bread; toppings are so skimpy now it just doesn't taste like pizza! read more

Perfect pizza. Everything was spot on. Had it at Crooked Goat Brewing and loved that the businesses partner together.

Fresh ingredients for sure and fermented thin crust makes my day with pizza. I just had the 'slice', which is technically two slices (which could equal one large one in some other places) and enjoyed it. Very thin crust, decent toppings though yes, there could be more cheese but at least it wasn't overly greasy. I do need to come back and try more though it is a bit pricey and the weather has to be right to be comfy inside and out. Salads look great and they now have a pasta restaurant next door or close by. No TV if you're looking to watch while you're eating. Counter staff was nice and either shy or just not too friendly. There's a lot going on between phone orders and walk ins so I'll give them a break. Not an over-the-top experience but decent. read more

I will agree with all of the comments that this place makes the pizzas with very fresh ingredients. However, the pizza we ordered had ranch and chicken and honestly the ranch overpowered the whole pizza. I expected there to be a light drizzle of ranch however, as you can see in the picture, there was literally ranch in every corner of this pizza and it was a little bit too much for me. Now the lemonade was actually really fresh and delicious 10 out of 10. We also got the rice crispy, which was also very good not pictured here, but it is a generous size we were able to share it between two of us, but honestly, you could probably share it between three people. The meatballs were actually pretty good. I was a bit surprised given some places are hit or miss with meatballs. But these were pretty good. Service was OK. I will add that we did pick up so our interaction with the staff was very limited. There is seating outside as well as seating inside from what I saw. It's not your typical pizza shop as it doesn't have a ton of decorations like most pizza places but I still think the spot is pretty cute and aesthetically pleasing, especially for Sebastopol. I will definitely come again, but I don't think I would order the same pizza. read more

I may have a pizza problem, but I call it love at first site. The pizza here is heavenly and I've only had the basics. I cannot wait to try the specialties. The sizes of the slices are huge and easy to share. There is limited to no seating inside with a few seats outside. They have a fridge with some items you can take to go like sauces, salads and pizza (but a little overpriced). They opened a pasta shop nearby I'd like to try next! read more

Need to give a higher than five star rating!! Amazing pizza with fresh ingredients at this pizza place at Barlow in Sebastopol. My family and I came here one evening and enjoyed the ambience with a band concert going on outside. We had a pitcher of beer and ordered the patron pizza which is seasonal and pesto pizza and a slice of broccoli. Amazing crust, patron had great flavors with the olive oil, corn and cheese and the pesto and broccoli pizzas has fresh pesto on it. So so good! read more

I'm sad to write a follow up review that is less than stellar for Acre Pizza. I went in recently for a gluten free slice, and did more than double take on my take out order. When I looked at it, I thought they made a mistake. They have changed the crust! Not nearly as good! It is now average for GF crust, which is just so disappointing! I was told they changed the Detroit style crust as well. Not sure I'll spend the drive time and $ to try it. I still crave what I think of as Acre Pizza, but it's no longer the same... I really hope they will go back to the old recipe! read more

We have never been to acre pizza before. But our friends came over for game night last weekend and they suggested Acre. they stopped and grabbed it on the way over. We all really loved it !! They got some Cesar salads for everyone to share and different slices for everyone. The kids got cheese slices and loved it. The Cesar salad was very good and nicely dressed, yummy croutons! Me and my husband got the New York hot honey pepperoni slices and they were soooooo delicious! The slices are pretty large and we just reheated everything in the oven and it all tasted great!!! The price is also good for what you get and how big the slices are! There was zero food left by the time we were done. Everyone , including the kids, ate all their food! We definitely will come back to try this place again soon!!! Highly recommend! read more

They use all fresh and local (if possible) ingredients. I ordered a 1/2 NY Gretzy (Pineapple and Prosciutto) (sans jalepenos) and 1/2 NY Fungi (Mycopia & cremini mushrooms, spinach, mozzarella, fontina, red onion, Matos cheese, Pecorino Romano, EVOO, lemon zest) (sans red onions). But they made it WITH jalepenos. Before it was even cut up they had a corrected order in the oven. They told me I could take home the wrong version of my order too! It was scrumptious!! I can see why Yelpers are so ga-ga over them. I will definitely be back! read more

Tasty pizza, especially loved the crust. Slices were a little small but this place was super popular

Meh. Mediocre. Staff acts like it's a big deal of you ask for the fresh pizza that they just put out instead of the pizza that's been sitting under the lamp that they now have in the oven warming. Like it's something that has to handled. Quality is good, but toppings need to be be more plentiful for the price. But you do get two regular slices when you order 1 slice. I got to go, but the setting was fine. Not sure that I'd be comfortable if I stayed because the staff was rolling their eyes because I asked for the fresh pizza and when I asked what one of the toppings on the list were. Will I go back? Nah. read more

I do think that this was the best pizza I've ever had. Every aspect was divine. Great flavor in the sauce, crust, cheese. The hot honey pepperoni was so good. The balance of the hot honey was perfect. They had a special of deep fried risotto balls with cheese. OH YEAH if you have the chance, you must try them. The staff was kind. Great outdoor seating to people (and dog!) watch. read more

This is one of the best slices I've had outside of New York. Perfect crust every time. Love.

This is a small, industrial looking building at the Barlow. Only a few tables outside. I ordered a gluten-free pepperoni, double mushroom pizza with vegan cheese. $50... that's a LOT for a pizza. Mind you, it's a full-size one, though still, that's outrageous. It was very good and I have plenty of leftovers. I'd ordered a salad, though they forgot to bring it, and they did give me a refund. I might come back as a treat, though I can think of other places I'd rather spend $50 at. read more

This is one of several dining places in the Barlow community and they rely more on ceiling fans than AC. They'll open the garage door at either end of the restaurant for additional cooling in August. That of course means that there will be a couple of flies that are more than happy to join you. We came here for a couple of slices and a salad. It's basically slightly upscale food court mall grub, at a premium price. However, one claim of fame is that they ferment their dough for 72 hours and I like the fact they do have beer on draft. Their salads are super fresh and chocked full of good ingredients. One big plus, is that you can order just a slice of pizza and a drink with or without a salad. That was a deal maker for me since I didn't wanna buy an entire pizza since it was just lunchtime. There's less than 10 tables in the small space inside, but you can dine outside under an umbrella. Your slice of pizza might come out on a paper plate, but the salad comes out on a real one with real silverware. They also offer the option of New York and Detroit style pizza along with plant based/vegan and gluten-free options. Open seven days a week starting at 11:30. Informative photos included. read more

Acre Pizza - They Will sell you the driest piece of pizza in the world and say $2 plus tax for ranch. Why sell a whole piece of crust as pizza - Pizza Near Me - Sebastopol, California

Sadly today was the last day I'll be patronizing Acre. Pizza is now dry and stingy on the toppings. My $14 ceaser came with exactly 4 croutons and the lightest sprinkling of cheese. That in addition to $2 ranch and a 3% order ahead fee (which by the way is not legal and is only allowed for credit cards) I simply can't justify the cost anymore. read more

We didn't dine in but ordered through Golden State Cider, which was totally appreciated and convenient for us. Can't say much about the service it was pretty fast for delivery I assume. We tried two different Detroit style pizzas. We wanted one gluten free but pretty sure that we didn't get gluten free in the pineapple jalapeño (it was still good though) paired well with cider. Kids got the pepperoni. read more

We just bought a Detroit style pizza from Acre in Sebastopol. It was full of mold. We called the store and they just blew us off. We contacted the manager and never received a response. We suggested that they check their dough to safeguard other customers, and again they just blew us off. Telling us that their dough (which they say is fermented for 72 hours) is OK without even checking. Clearly Acre does not care about its customers. read more

Listen to these 1 star reviews!! I've been a fan of acre for a long time but when staff is rude, food does not come how it appears on the website (missing items), and the restaurant is dirty... it is NOT a good experience. They need to get new staff or somehow train them to be nice. read more

Will travel miles and acres for Acre Pizza, and we did just that! My hubby and I saw that they offer various vegan pizzas and made a point to stop in when we were visiting from out of town in June. It was just about one of the best vegan pizzas we've ever had, which is saying a lot because half my family is full Italian and I've traveled a lot throughout Italy trying the best pizzas in the world! We happened to be back in Sonoma County in July for a half marathon, and without hesitation drove to Sebastopol after the race to enjoy yet another vegan pizza, this time a celebratory one! The New York-style Vegan Fungi pizza is the winning one for us here, and is loaded with mushrooms (mycopia & cremini), spinach, caramelized red onion, EVOO and more. It even tasted great eaten cold the next day (we couldn't finish the entire pizza in one day)! In addition to NY-style pizza, they also offer Detroit-style pizza, which I actually had never tried before. They said it was more of a deep dish pizza with this kind of cheese crusted on the sides. For vegan pizzas, they have 2 of the Detroit-style ones, and 4 of the thinner crust NY-style. Along with pizza, Acre also serves dessert, wine & beer, and is located off McKinley St. in The Barlow. Nice, lively outdoor patio area and some seating inside. Fun fact: they were judged #1 in the region by the International Pizza Expo! read more

Very tasty pizza (and an ultra cheesy volcano bread!). Service is friendly and consistent. The place is cute and clean, and they have heaters for outdoor seating. This is my go-to spot for pizza in Sonoma County. The Detroit-style pizza here is an absolute delight. I always order the Detroit Ranch along with a New York-style pizza, and while it's a bit on the pricey side, it's well worth it. Expect to spend around $60 for both pizzas. One thing to note is that the wait time can be quite long, often 25-30 minutes even with an online order. I can only imagine how much longer it might take if you order in the restaurant. For this reason, I highly recommend placing your order online to save some time. Here's what I typically get: 1.) Detroit Ranch - 5/5 2.) Spicy Sausage/Meat Lover NY-Style Pizza - 4/5 I always enjoy coming here to satisfy my pizza cravings, though I save it for special occasions due to the cost. read more

It's very good, but also overrated. The regular ny pizza barely has any cheese on it, so lots of people order extra cheese, but its still just a little sprinkle of cheese and mostly dry area on top. The volcano bread is amazing tho. read more

Highly recommend Acre Pizza when you're at The Barlow! Our top tip is to hang and enjoy wine at Region, and have the team order you Acre Pizza to get delivered and enjoy here :) Last year we tried it for the first time and fell in love. Their NY style is good, but I highly recommend their Detroit style! Note their Barlow menu is more limited, so don't fall in love with their larger menu you can get at their other locations and make yourself sad. What we ordered: NY Potato + Bacon - We did this gluten-free and the crust was meh, but I'm used to that in GF - The potatoes are suuuuper thinly sliced and def needed salt - I was expecting a midwest "loaded baked potato pizza" moment, and this just wasn't it - I probably wouldn't order this one again Detroit Pineapple - Now THIS is where it's at!! - Go Detroit here no matter what - they just do it right with crispy edges and thick perfection - I love the heat on this pineapple from the jalepenos and hot honey. - If I did it again, I'd want to add a protein like bacon or pepperoni - The GF Detroit crust is MAGIC - seriously some of the best GF pizza dough I've ever had! The Detroit Ranch I got last year is still my favorite - highly recommend. Next year, we'll stick to only Detroit style and add protein! read more

Great pizza ! everything taste amazing but very, very very skimpy on the sausage. My first slice I grabbed had one piece of sausage on it! It was the size of a jelly bean the next slice I grabbed had two two little pieces about the same size $32 for the 16 in pizza. This was my first time ever coming to this cute outdoor eating and shopping area, at Barstow! I loved listening to the story of how this used to be an old apple refinery/canning facility, and then after years of being shut down a handful of local merchants were able to come and start up their own little shops! It's a very quaint well lit with outdoor playing areas for children and the pizza. Here was delicious!! I'm actually lactose intolerant but I'll cheat every once in a while if it looks good enough. Lol that potato pizza had very light cheese on it and it was delicious!! We probably would have bought our pizza and taken at home but we had our dogs with us and with a large pizza and two huskies in the backseat, we wouldn't have any place to put the pizza for the trunk? No thank you! Lol so we got a piece and split it and it was delicious! Thin crust with good flavor and a lake Crispy texture and the vegetables tasted very fresh with a good texture!! The only reason why I would not give them. A four star was honestly their little outdoor area, which I know they don't have much one can do with nature, but there were 1 million little Nats and flies outside! Lol I'm sure the bugs just wanted the pizza as well so we sat inside, but our poor puppies had to wait out in the car. Lol I definitely liked spending the afternoon here eating and drinking and walking around. I will definitely be back for a day and without my puppies!!
