I hear to many people rave about this place and needed to try it. We ordered this for delivery and got to our place still hot which was nice. I had the 3 wing, 3 leg combo, comes with fries and coleslaw and bread. It was not expensive and comes with a lot! I loved the flavor of the chicken and it was juicy, not dry. The seasoning was really good. I did not really care for the fries, they were soggy but could have just been because they were delivered and not eaten there. I was full after two piece of chicken! I really enjoyed it. My boyfriend got the chicken tender/catfish combo but he wasn't too crazy about it. read more

My first impression was a dispute between a customer and really himself because the guy behind the glass (not bullet proof) didn't speak great English. It was sorta comical but this customer wanted his 2 bucks back for a cup he paid for when you get a cup with the combo. Anyway the situation went on and on all while I was ordering my 3pc chix tender combo. There's no place to sit except for outside onlooking Pulaski Hwy. No thanks but to those tenders,,,,they were BIG, Tender and greasy. The fries were great and the Half/Half tea was sweet but you needed it to cancel out some of that fried oil. The whole combo was dusted with maybe a butter dust that I was told is referred to as crack dust. I don't need to go back anytime soon as my arteries are clogged another 10%. I'll be back though to try the catfish another day. My combo with cup came to $7.41. read more

I stopped here while in the area. The inside is just to place an order or pick up an order because there's no sitting room. There are a couple of seats outside with umbrellas. I ordered the regular size fried shrimp about 14 pieces with French fries, two pieces of white bread and a sample Cole slaw for about $12. It tasted good! I'm glad they don't use the frozen shrimp like a few places I've been to. I will definitely go back and recommend. read more

Super quick trip to Baltimore! Grabbed a "chicken box" which is nostalgic to me from my college days! Aww! Hip Hop Fish & Chicken - it gave what it was supposed to give! Pulled up on what felt like the hottest day of the summer. Went inside and it's not the most appealing but so what! Lol! I went ahead and ordered. They gave me a buzzer to wait for my food that thankfully worked in my car. Later on I found out that the guys next to me buzzer never went off in their car! Funny but not funny! It was too hot for buzzers not to go off! Ordered their lunch special: the well seasoned fried chicken wings & fries w/ a drink! Mmm! I'm so glad their chicken wings were normal sized and not on steroids. Had corn nuggets too (yum)! I typically only drink half & half from bmore and it was gooooood too! read more

Gross and rude service. This corner has had so many food businesses over the years and all fail. This one is no different. Food is disgusting and employees are rude. I spit out the food as it was undercooked. The employees were rude and could not careless about a customer. Keep driving as further down the road is plenty of good food read more

I've been here several times and every time my food has been fresh and correct. No complaints on my end.

Their food was amazing I so loved that catfish it was crunchy to perfection good had it a couple of days ago totally a must go for sure to try but the fried pickles they good but wasn't so sure on the sauce they give I wish they give you a choice on sauce like ranch or other sauces especially on Uber Eats I wasn't too confident on the spicy sauce they gave you for it but still the fried pickles was good and very crunchy as well great job guys well done read more

This is unacceptable. Whoever works there really need to take some time to prep things accordingly in the line of cooking. I understand it's fast food and things should be quick, but ain't no way you can overcook fish and basically have nothing to even nibble on. Mac and cheese has no love to it and taste like it's from a box. Green boiled with no salt or pepper, pretty much the basics of seasoning and didn't even do that. Everyone don't waste your time please. read more

Chicken livers overcooked and had the other parts added which I hate. I ordered livers ONLY TOO MUCH SALT LGE POTATO SALAD- not homemade and loaded with oregano. Who puts oregano in potato salad?? FRIED CHICKEN AND CATFISH WEREgood PRICE: 91.60! Prices way too high for the quality. You can eat nice sit down dinner for that kind of money read more

This was the best fried chicken I may have ever had the privilege of enjoying. The service was quick. The footprint of the restaurant was small, but appropriate for what they do. Would recommend if you're in the area! read more

This carryout is well run, and service is good too. Fish is always fresh and tasty Warning: Food isn't low calorie; which is good when you have that need/taste for fried chicken and fish read more

This may be the first restaurant/ take out that will THRIVE at this location. I drive pass this place everyday and I saw the improvements they were making prior to their opening. The wait on the opening was absolutely worth it, the parking lot & the inside has been packed every time Ive driven by so I decided to call to place my order ahead, busy tone, every single time. I get to Hip hop chicken and of course it's busy, I place my order and they told us it'll be ready in 15 minutes, not a bad wait time at all. Finally I get home & get down to business =p Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. The amount of food that you get for the price is even better, I have left overs and as I'm writing this review I'm thinking of having it for breakfast, lol. Onion rings were HITTING. read more

I'm about to contact a lawyer. I just picked this up from them 10 mins ago. I'm highly disappointed. My son is blind and autistic and I almost gave this to him. I feel awful. I'm so happy I caught it. I hope he didn't eat any. I broke it apart to see how raw it was. read more

they don't even deserve a star or a half a star they are very rude obnoxious unprofessional unsanitary very dirty very rude. I watched one of the workers take money, hand out the food and go back and flower chicken with no gloves nor did he ever wash his hands this place should be shut down Health really needs to see how they work. I will never go back to this place ever again again I will drive all the way to Belair Road in the city somewhere just to hip-hop read more

This place has recently opened and I have to say, the owners are fantastic. Staff was happy to help and willing to answer my questions. Food was ordered quickly, and brought out just as quickly. Hot and fresh smelling amazing. Plenty of parking space to make entering and exiting super convenient. And the food was super duper hot like had to take a minute to cool kinda hot. read more

food is good but they are rude asf for literally no reason. When you call and order they rush you off the phone. the guy that's always in the front is always rude and the lady is the back stares. read more

Rude. The cashier did not speak English and I was missing the coleslaw; when I brought it to their attention they said it didn't come with my 20 pieces wing and fries order. I will NEVER patronize them again! Horrible service! read more

I ordered pick up and both chicken boxes were missing the cole slaw. I had to drive back to get it and they thought it was a joke. The chicken and hush puppies was overcooked and the fish was undercooked. The potato salad was generic and had some random Italian seasoning on the top. Potato salad should not involve Italian seasoning at all, at any time. No celery or onion involved, disappointment. The bread in the box seems like an excuse not to give you more fries. It's a waste of bread, it was stale and we threw it out. Very disappointed and will not go back read more

Always come here before work love the food always fresh and always tasty no complaints even from the other locations

I get it... this is the only one in Harford County so they're busy but I must say the person at the register had paper thin patience. No more stopping by for me. 2 stars for speed. Everything else, no thanks. read more

No complaints whatsoever. Delicious food. If you get a chance to try it out please do. You won't be disappointed.

I really love hip hop and this place isn't music but it's really good. Glad to have listened to my google maps.

My children have been telling me about this place and how good the food is because of this special seasoning that they use. So I just drove there from Delaware and specifically asked them to make sure there is seasoning on the food, only to get all the way back home and there is none. Needless to say, I will not patronize this business again. Waste of my time and money. read more

Cashier was rude as all hell. I've never been before and simply asked for a to-go menu. He screamed " no we're not hiring!!" Ok. I said I asked for a menu. He kept yelling and being so so so rude. I know my measly self doesn't matter but I'll never go back. Service is horrid!!!! read more

Started out fresh but when I ordered today we got sick, wonder if it was the use of old grease.

Very disappointed. This location started off so good but very quickly turned into another crap restaurant on Pulaski highway. Ordered chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks. The nuggets are caked in salt almost like the lid fell off the shaker. I know they like to use their salt seasoning generously but this is a joke. Who's going to buy their chicken if they kill everyone giving them high blood pressure? Somehow they found a way to botch cheese sticks too. Every single one of them had the cheese fried out and covered in salt. I paid for a pound of salt, fried breading and a small amount of chicken. read more

I was delivered the wrong meal and was refunded but still hungry. Food is usually excellent .

This place is great. The food is always cooked fresh and portions are huge. I had the catfish and perch so far and both were excellent. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I eat out every day and highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Never going back to this location again. They get props for the fried fish but that's it. Overcharged me for the meal. Greens tasted straight out of the ground. Cake was a sponge and the chicken was nothing like I had before at other locations. To add insult to injury there were items missing from my order. Growing to fast and losing the quality at who's expense though......?? read more

I have ordered from them about 4 times. Every time the fish is burnt or they keep reusing the same oil. Nothing taste fresh. The sides are just there, bland and don't have the made at home quality.
