I've tried Hilltop in the past but it's been a while. Yesterday, I need a slice and swung in but didn't get the impression that "slices" were apart of the offering. With that the guy peaked in the back and said, "I got one" and did a reheat and boxed it up. While I waited I noticed the menu had a huge complement of breakfast and sandwiches. Today I grabbed a bacon, egg, cheese on toast and it was awesome and quick. As for yesterday's slice, it was decent if you like garlic, which I don't mind. The breakfast sammich was a 5/5. read more

The guy making food and the guy handling cash at the register is the same guy With no gloves in between the two jobs. Speaking of, The register literally looks like it came out of a sewer. Updated review 10.28.2022. I have ordered from here more times than I'd like to admit and I've truly fallen in love with the food. I've never had anything that I didn't enjoy. But tonight, I decided to treat myself to a cheat day and got their baklava cheesecake. Y'all. This is the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. I mean it is literally the best of both desserts in one. Perfect about of sweetness, nice creamy cheesecake, flaky top phyllo layer, just absolute perfection. Ordered a large meat lovers pizza and a gyro last night. Very, very good. The only reason I gave three stars was price. The pizza and gyro came to $25, decent price for what I got but by the time it was delivered, 0.2 miles to my hotel, the cost had gone up to $35. They have more extras. One of them was explained as an innovation fee? $2.99 delivery fee, I should have picked it up myself, according to Google maps it is a 4 minute walk. Great food. It's the to go to place for breakfast delivery. Their breakfasts are delicious. They have great prices too. Our favorites are sausage gravy, egg breakfast, french toast, BLT club, best potato skins ever and the same can be said for the rice pudding. Their delivery people are quick and friendly. Food is excellent and prepared as you wait. The Lamb Gyro are some of the best I've had. If you like calzones, get the meat eaters . If you need to gave it delivered, it took me about 20 minutes to get it, still hot. read more

Contrary to the review from 9/19/2021, this place is actually still open. It is my option that Hilltop has the best subs in Harford County. Most places I go, a side is needed alongside the 12 inch sub in order for me to really feel full. Hilltop's subs are what I'd call overstuffed, and a side isn't needed with their 12 inch sub to fill me up. And the best part is, compared to other sub places around, they aren't more expensive, so it really is more bang for your buck. Full disclosure. as of the time of this review I have not tried their pizza yet. Although, the last time I went in to pick up an order I watched them roll out dough to make one, and if I hadn't already ordered a sub, I probably would've been tempted to order a pizza. They are always friendly on the phone, and despite usually being busy around 6pm most days, they are usually pretty quick with the deliveries. read more

This place has the best subs in Harford Co. The rest of their food is decent, but the subs are where they shine. I think it's the bread. These people work HARD, and you can tell by the demeanor that they are exhausted. The people are nice, but they aren't like cheery Chik-fil-a nice. You'll get a monotone "what can I do for ya" and unenthusiastic "thanks," but that's about it. No warm fuzzies, but honestly I don't care because the food is hot and good. Hilltop used to be my go to for a cheesesteak sub. They were overfilled with meat and great price especially with military discount well. Not anymore. Got two cheesesteak sub Philadelphia style. Barely a trace of mushrooms and where the sub used to be bulging with meat - there was barely anything to write home about. These were two very disappointing subs. The meat probably was less the four ounces for entire sub. And to top that off. The military discount is $1 off a $30 bill. Disappointed and may start looking for a go to sub shop. Here is a twenty dollar extra large turnover. This used to be my favorite stop when I'm edgewood and I always order the same thing. Now It seems this has become thier xl turnover. I ordered a chicken cheesesteak and it was not good at all. The cheese wasn't melted, they have the shredded lettuce and it was piled on top.. it was totally dissatisfying. I could not eat it all and soon after I had a stomachache. Hopefully this was a one time thing and it doesn't happen often. However I will not be going back. read more

Best gyro I've had in MD. Awesome wings and delicious pizza. First off, let me say this place completely surprised me. I had no idea it was a Greek place. We came home home from work and had a menu in our mailbox and decided to give it a shot. So glad we did. It has its own parking lot and is right under El Rodeo. The place is really clean inside and has lots of room with tables. They have a TV inside as well so you can watch while you eat. We ordered a large pie of cheese pizza, wings, and a gyro plus fries. The pizza was very good, with plenty of cheese. The sauce was really flavorful. The wings were plump and the wing sauce was great. They have a unique texture to them compared to other place's wings. It is almost like they are slightly breaded. The gyro was incredible. Tons of meat and tzatziki sauce, and the pita was really soft. Not only was this delicious but also cheap (9.95 for lg pizza, 6 something for the gyro, and 9.95 for 15 wings). This is definitely going to our new go to place for pizza, wings, and subs. This pizza spot is a hidden treasure. I ordered a large italian sausage and waited while they made it. The pizza was fresh and piping hot. I dont normaly ever get italian sausage but wanted to try something new and it was well worth it. The crust was kind of thick and very cheezy. The sausage was the perfect compliment to the cheese. I will definitely be back. While standing at the counter I also couldnt help but notice some delicious looking cheese cake slices behind the counter. We ordered delivery and the food was as hot as could be expected and on time. We ordered pizza, steak sub, fries, and potato skins. All food was pretty good. However, consistent with other reviews, the order wasn't quite right. One of the pizzas we ordered was a Hawaiian pizza with the addition of bacon and jalapeño. We received a pizza with only bacon and jalapeño. You pay extra for the specialty pizza so I can't figure out why they wouldn't include the toppings that come with it, which we paid for. We'd order again but would maybe try adding extra notes to ensure we get what we ordered and paid for. read more

Actual name is "Hilltop Pizza & Subs". Pretty much what you would expect from the name, not high cuisine, just fairly quick carryout. What you might not deduce is that they serve some of the best carry out food in the area. They may not be the fastest, but people swear by their Philly cheesesteak subs (which I must try someday), and I can state without any reservations that they serve the best Gyros in the area, bar none. They take the time to make food that's better than par, with fresher than expected ingredients, rather than push crap out the door that will give you indigestion within a half hour of eating. The only advice I could give them would be to switch to shoestring fries and let them cook until golden. That would be a knockout recipe for your cheese fries and mega fries, and would hold up longer before becoming soggy. Worth a visit if you're looking for fast food. read more
