This place is super yummy! Great options from vegan to extra meats! They have a heat profile from 1-10, they told us 6 was considered Thai hot. We ordered 5 as my husband can't handle too much heat, however I didn't taste the heat at all. But it was still so good and full of flavor. The lamb was perfectly cooked. We also got the garlic naan, it is so fresh and good. I would recommend this place to anyone! Service 5/5 stars!!! Friendly funny and fast!! The patio and roof top seating is so nice. I love the indoor/outdoor door feel.

Bold, Flavorful, and Comforting We're at Himalayan Kitchen and the food is delicious and full of spice. We ordered the aloo chili with tofu, saag (spinach with potatoes), naan bread, turmeric rice, and the spring rolls. The spring rolls were actually my favorite -- they were a bit greasy (you can see it in the photo), but still crispy, flavorful, and really good. Everything else was well-seasoned, aromatic, and comforting, with bold flavors that didn't overwhelm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You can sit inside or outside, which is nice depending on the weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's parking in the back; according to the host it's about $0.75 per hour (possibly after 6 PM), but either way it's very reasonable and easy. Overall, a great meal and a place I'll definitely be coming back to.

I was told this was unusual by our friends who recommended this place so will try going again and updating if true. We had booked a table for a specific time. We arrived early and said we would wait till our other party arrived. They said we could sit if we wanted but they had no idea which table was booked. We chose one and when our friends arrived we opened a bottle of wine and ordered pappadam. After 30 min no pappadam but we also order our dinners. 30min later, 1hr after we say down still no papadam or our food. 30 min later our papadam arrives and we are on our end bottle of wine. No food till 1'45" after we ordered. The food was tasty but we were so full of water, wine and papadam it was hard to get the appetite to enjoy all of the dishes we'd ordered. While waiting for the ladies room others said they'd been waiting 1hr for takeout, 1 hour and still waiting for good like us but at that point, we'd been waiting for 90min. The odd thing is they seemed to have alot of staff, busboy, waiters, servers, all not speaking English except for the owner and our waiter taking the order. How long should one wait for food? Should the owner know they can't fulfill orders at a certain capacity? Should one tip after waiting for 2 hours after being seated amd if so, how much? There were a few larger parties of 8 or so and maybe because of the wait, several people came out on the terrace where we were seated and stood basically over us having full FaceTime conversations while we tried to have our own.

Free birthday dessert- so sweet of them! Ginger cardamom gelato on left and 4 spice chocolate on right. Amazing! Goes well with wine.

This is my absolute favorite place for Indian and Nepalese food in Hawai'i. I'll tell you why... The food is always delicious, with so many choices that I still haven't tried it all and I've been coming here at least 10+ years now. The portions are generous and the price is so affordable. The atmosphere in the Kaimuki location is laid back, and I love to eat outside and enjoy the cool breezes at night on their patio listening to music and eating and chatting with friends. We never feel pressured to leave so the next party can have our table bc there's room for everyone. The service is always so friendly and accommodating. Whenever we have a birthday party or gathering there, the staff goes above and beyond to make us feel special and enjoy the experience. Any substitutions or requests are usually able to be made and there's never bad vibes about it. This location is HUGE so there's never a wait for a table, unlike some of the other places in town where it can take an hour or more to get a seat. This is something I highly appreciate because let's face it: O'ahu is overpopulated and restaurants get hyped up and then you wait forever. And those places raise the prices and quality goes down bc they're overwhelmed by popularity. They're BYOB so it makes having some nice wine with dinner that much more affordable plus you can have whatever you want to drink, you're not limited to the restaurant's menu. There's parking galore which is a challenge at other Indian restaurants (if they even offer parking) so that also adds to the enjoyment of eating here. Any time I bring friends here we ALWAYS enjoy, have a great meal, have fun and never break the piggy bank.

Madras Madness Rice Chicken Tikka Masala Mix Tandoori Kabab

We Love trying new restaurants and we decided to try this location. Food - we had chicken masala, rice, roti, bread basket (naan - garlic, onion & plain), mix tandoori kebab, & Madras madness. All of it is highly recommended and must try. Dessert: Gulab Jamun - this was delicious and must try. 4 spice chocolate Gelato - its an acquired taste but definitely different and good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere: we sat outside in the lanai and view is nice and great place to sit during dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: was amazing! Suman was great! He helped us decide on our dessert and had great conversation with him. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Environment overall was comfortable and great place to enjoy with friends & family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We definitely would come back to this restaurant to try out the rest of the food on the menu. Highly recommend!

We've been eyeing the restaurant for a few weeks as we really enjoy Indian food. We were served immediately after being seated. Their menu was very organized and not confusing at all. We experienced great service from the time we arrived to the time we left the restaurant. I drink a lot of water and was pleased to see my water being refilled without asking. We did not feel overwhelmed by the selection of food that they had in their menu. We ordered: Pani puri as our appetizer. Butter chicken and lamb biryani as our entrees with garlic naan on the side. Mango lassi for our drinks. The food arrived in a very timely manner and the food was presented very well. The sever had asked us how spicy we wanted our food. We asked for medium spice level, and we were not disappointed with the taste and spice! The portions were perfect for the two of us! Our only critique about the food is that the lamb in the biryani was dry. Extra: Tadka Indian Cuisine is location in the Mccully shopping center. Parking was very limited even on a Monday evening. However, I believe you can park in the neighborhood nearby. The bathroom was clean and organized. Overall, my wife and I would definitely dine here again. We definitely want to invite some friends the next time we go! This is an automatic 5 stars in our book!

This time we ordered take out We got tadka wings, pani puri, lamb goan curry, lamb kebabs, lamb vindaloo(extra spicy!) , aloo naanand garlic/onion naan It was our first try of the pani puri, an Indian street food. It was sooo delicious I'm craving more of it now Goan curry is a staple for me since I love coconut. My son enjoyed his spicy vindaloo but he slowed down halfway through because the spice doesn't go away but he thoroughly enjoys that! the curries came with rice and I ordered extra raita for the curries too. We were so full after all of it. So if you haven't checked them out, go check um go. On another note, edible is now only open on the weekends I wanted their delicious cookies Guess there's always a next time at tadka

We were warned not to park on the street as they cars are towed away if you park on the street before 6:30pm The service was excellent as we did not know what to order The servers suggested we order the dinner for 4 people because we had a group of 6 diners. The portions are big and it would be enough. They were sure right, we all ate and still had 3 boxes of leftovers to take home. We ordered the vegetable appetizer sampler with all the sauces, Balti Lamb, Butter Chicken, saffron rice, Fish curry, Naan Bread, The interior of the restaurant is interesting the ceiling has all these beautiful lights and transports you to some foreign location. You don't think Hawaii while you are there. The server warned us that the tip of 18 percent is added to the bill so don't add additional 15-20 percent unless you want to. That was a nice warning. The cheese naan was a huge hit with the kids, and the mild butter chicken was flavorful without being too spicy--my wife, kids, and even our baby all enjoyed it. The lamb was cooked absolutely perfectly, the portion was very generous, and it came out sizzling with grilled onions. I eat lamb fairly often at Greek restaurants, steakhouses, and elsewhere, and this was genuinely some of the best lamb I've had all year.
