Went for brunch was late. It's about 7min walk to the hotel from the train. Took the elevator up to the 29th floor. The decor is nice and full bar with IG worthy props. We couldn't have brunch but dinner menu included brunch items. I orded the unlimited brunch mimosa ,"The Highkey flavor, which included grapefruit with champagne; I liked it. For food I ordered the shrimp and grits: grits was grainy and not smooth. It was baked with cheese and needed a little bit of salt. The shrimp was tasty but portion was an appetizer for $22. My friend ordered the lobster taco which was inky two tacos and looked also looked like an appetizer even worse than my dish. Actually smaller than the picture. I don't know if I would go back but the rooftop is nice. read more

How can a cocktail lounge at a Marriott not know what a Vesper martini is? Especially in the financial district!! The bartender looked at me dumbfounded so to make it easy for him, we ordered a standard vodka martini. It was hardly shaken on ice, served almost lukewarm, and very tired lemon wedge. Awful!! read more

Came here for brunch on a rainy day, it was pretty empty so I'm sure the vibe is different when it's packed. Menu is very small, food was okay but the drinks were good. I would personally recommend just doing drinks here. Because of how heavy the rain was, there were a few leaks throughout the space which wasn't great for the vibe of an already empty spot. They were also doing construction on the front door which made them turn up the music so it was loud. It might be fun on a warm summer day when it's crowded but any other situation doesn't seem like a good time here. read more

This place is located at the top of the Four Points Hotel on the 29th floor. Once off the elevator you notice all the hanging plants and flowers. The ambiance was great! We notice a host/hostess booth, with no one there. We waited a few minutes, but no one ever came or even looked in our direction, so we asked the bartender if we could sit anywhere, he said yes. It took at least a good 5-8 minutes for the sever to acknowledge us. We finally ordered a drink and lobster tacos. The tacos were good but very tiny. The drink was meh, one and done. Once our other guest arrived we tried the Mac and cheese, again just meh. We would rate the ambiance as a 10, and everything else a 3. read more

Escape the city and enter a lush rainforest oasis right in the heart of FiDi -- @highkeyforest is the ultimate rooftop hangout inside Four Points Hotel! We came for the $30 bottomless brunch (Saturday & Sunday, 12-5pm, 90 mins) and stayed for the Gemini Experience -- a cocktail flight featuring margarita, prosecco, and wine, served with a miracle berry tablet that bends your tastebuds! One sip, two flavors. It's wild. Every corner here is IG-worthy -- think jungle vibes, stunning rooftop views, and vibey music all day. read more

Nice little rooftop. No reservations needed for two; we were able to go right in and be seated. I had the coco mango drink and the steak flatbread. The drink was great. But the flatbread, not so much. It was not fresh at all. I can't recommend the food but the vibe was good. We did enjoy the rooftop vibe and the hookah service. read more

Very chill and instagrammable rooftop bar! However, there's not really much of a view given this bar is not very high up and there's plastic sheets surrounding 80% of the border. Leafy decorations everywhere with neon, artsy led lights here and there. There's a phone booth in a corner for aesthetic photos. There are QR codes on tables, however, the menu online are wrong and outdated!! Which is really sad because I wanted to try this one drink with fruit boba and gummy worms? We sadly had to amend our order at the bar when we tried to place our drinks. Lychee martini was tasty and felt decently strong (obligatory side note, I am a lightweight). My friend got a banana cocktail and that one was so unique and tasty too! Super interesting that the bartender stuck four twigs of mint into the drink along with the stems. Also... in hindsight, I think we might have ended up paying tip twice because it wasn't clearly stated in the bill! Tell me how else my one drink ended up costing me $30! It was quite nice that we were able to walk in without any reservations. Music wasn't too loud and they had basketball playing on the tv. I could see it a fun place to hangout if it's convenient but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. The menu does offer some large drinks to share, which could be fun for a group! read more

Highkey Rainforest Rooftop is a low key vibe place on the weekend! Food: the food to me is moderate nothing stood out over the top. It's traditional American style food. The drinks is the hype. There's various specifically I love the Leeche martinis. We had the chicken and steak tacos, the steak and fries, and the sliders with fries. Service: the service was okay. The hookah took a long time. The main course came out before the starters. The taco were really good and the NYC steak strips was well seasoned. Ambiance: the ambiance is really good and vibrant. The various colors and stations to take pictures. The set up is cozy for couples and seats large parties. I give this location a solid 3.89/5.0 read more

We stopped by for a weekend brunch the place had a vibe of a hookah lounge with couches as the mood of seating and small tables in front. A more relaxed vibe. Food: we had ordered the steak and eggs execution decent. We had gone for the bottomless brunch. The servers were appropriately attentive. I would say this is a best setting for a very relaxed vibe. It was a shame there is new outdoor space. There is a lot of potential to the space could use a little freshening up. Overall solid passable experience. The florals hanging from the ceiling add a nice touch. read more

Came here with the Pulsd deal " $59 For A Bottomless Brunch For Two" and were the only table there on a Sunday at 12:30 pm. Was surprised to find the place empty, the decor very busy, and the cleanliness falling short. This is definitely a place that focuses on nightlife over brunch. Was very close to just having our drinks and leaving since it was paid for, but we ordered the avocado tostadas and it changed everything. They were the best avocado "toasts" I've ever had. I ate the whole thing and I wasn't even hungry. I also liked the 2010's nightclub music that wasn't too loud, could still have conversations. But wasn't happy with the condition of the couches, surfaces, bathrooms, decor. I guess that would be the trade off for the great bottomless deal. read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of 8, and it was everything. The whole vibe at Highkey Rainforest Rooftop is such a fun, tropical escape right in the middle of the city. It was like a mini vacation in the jungle with a killer view. First of all, the hookah was top-tier. Super smooth, great flavor selection, and the staff kept it fresh all night without us having to ask. I also tried the Jungle Mule, and WOW. It was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and had a little kick that made it stand out from a regular mule. Highly recommend if you're looking for something a little different but still delicious. Now let's talk about the telephone booth....it's the cutest little photo opp! The lighting was perfect, the decor around it was on point, and yes, our whole group absolutely had a mini photoshoot in it. (No regrets ) Service was attentive and friendly, the music was on point, and they were super accommodating for our larger group. This is the kind of place you go to when you want to celebrate and feel highkey fabulous. Already planning my next visit. read more

I have been here quite a bit over the last few years and always had a great time. Except for today. Very disappointing. They apparently had an event where cigars were to be sold and smoked. We were not informed until 6:30 and were told we had to vacate our seats at 7 when the event was to start. However, not only did people begin smoking cigars around 6pm, but it's also clearly stated throughout the building it is a smoke free building. I was with a group of people and two of them were asthmatic who were impacted by the smoke. I found the whole situation disconcerting and disrespectful. I work for a City agency in the area and many of us go regularly and spend quite a bit of money. Due to today we are now going to take our business elsewhere and will inform all our other colleagues to avoid Highkey Rainforest Rooftop!!! read more

I had to give this place 5 stars! Mickey was spectacular, my friends and I were the only people there and he was very attentive to us. This place is a definition of IF YOUR WALLS ARE GRASS, THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS ASS. Really was not fond of the food. And the food was not fond of me. I don't normally have bowel movements from eating burgers or sliders. But these at high key rainforest was not it and was cutting me up. Smh. You could tell that the quality of food is very low as a result. And just from looking at it. I should've known. The decor here is sooo cute. This place has so much potential but it falls very short! The prices don't make any sense. What are we paying for...the decorations? Because the service was horrible as there was only one person running the whole floor. She was the hostess, waitress, bottle girl and security. It was crazy but toodles to her work ethic! Everything was rather disorganized. No one knew what they were supposed to be doing or how to do their job efficiently. Not to mention there was no happy hour or specials offered. Nor was anything special done as a result of a birthday. The music was okay. Drinks were decent. But very inconsistent! My drink was weaker than the others at the table. And each one varied in taste. The seats also lacked taste and class. There was no consistency and it looked like the furniture was picked out of someone's man-cave. Eww! The seats were dirty and unappealing! The weathered plastic around the rooftop looked rather ghetto to have views going out towards the east river. Everything seemed cheap including the experience. But definitely not the bill, which was disappointing because the check should've matched that sad grass. Really only enjoyed it for the occasion and because my party was the vibe. Period. NEVER RETURNING. DO NOT COME HERE! Don't let social media fool you!! read more

Ambiance - 10/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 6/10 The food was well seasoned. Good taste but did not meet the expectations. The steak and new potatoes and fries look completely different on Instagram. We ordered medium cooked steak and got well done. The Mac & Cheese looked nothing like it did on their Instagram either. It was lighter in color and seemed to not have the same cheese baked on top. The taste of the fries and Mac was a bit off. It didn't taste as fresh as expected. Overall it was a great vibe. The hookah was very good and they offer a variety of flavors. The space itself was giving vibes--super cute and perfect for a birthday dinner aesthetic. I came here with a party of 8 for my friend's celebration, and while the drinks were absolutely top-tier (do not leave without trying the 29 Margarita--it's a 10/10), the food was... a different story. Let's start with the wings--honestly, the only real win of the night. Everything else? Meh at best. Everyone's fries came out cold (mine included), and to make it worse, they kept mixing up our orders. Somehow "Parmesan truffle" turned into "parmesan trouble" because both kinds of fries were just sad and borderline inedible. The host was lovely, but our server clearly didn't want to be there. The energy was off--eye rolls, attitude, and just plain cold. Speaking of cold, my friend's steak? Served cold... twice. We had to send it back to the kitchen like we were on a reality show. Final verdict: Come here for the drinks, the ambiance, and the Instagram pics--but if you're expecting a solid birthday dinner experience? , keep it cute and keep it moving. read more

I visited this rooftop on a date on a Friday night. So this place is a little weird in that there's no standing and you must have a seat either at the bar or at a reserved table. We had neither so we went to their sister location downstairs and gave the hostess our number to call us if anything came up. She also informed us that it would be a 40 minute wait. After about an hour and 15 mins and no call, we went back to the rooftop. The hostess said that she called us but we didn't get a call so back to square one since nothing was available at this point. Luckily there were two seats that opened up so we took them quickly! The food was okay. Not worth the hour and a half wait though. The drinks were decent. The decor was cute but the setup and overall layout of the place was a bit weird. I don't think I'll be coming back but thankful for the experience! read more

OMG! It's a DUMP!! Ugh! We're staying here at the Sheraton on Platt St. I felt sick, as I walked off the elevator. i asked the hostess if it was normally "this hot," inside. I shook my head. And I walked back to the elevators. And it LOOKS LIKE A DUMP." As written above. I should have taken pics. Ugh. Our room AC, isn't even so great. OH! And whe. Had a good time here and the booking for rsvp and staff was very kind . We went for happy hour and to my suprise the happy hour time was no longer 8 it ended at 6 pm . And it's only for the 8 or so seats at the bar which most people took up the full time and rightfully so and understandable. We had a table so the option for happy hour didn't apply . The hostess was nice enough to keep a look out if chairs at the bar opened up by then we had food and drinks already and a hookah . Too much to move Deets : Nice rooftop located on the 29th floor Food offered Lobster flatbread was a 5/10 Drinks : Margarita cocktail was good 8/10 Hookah is offered here cash only option . ATM is available if needed . Music was nice and the crowd as nice also . The space is beautiful and staff is attentive . I would definitely try to come back for happy hour much earlier since now only 3-6 instead of to 8pm as advertised prior read more

To get a table, you need to make a reservation, which came at the cost of $100+tax, which is $10. Men are searched before they enter the rooftop. The decor is beautiful and I guess it is made for intagram. The rooftop is enclosed so you can come here rain or shine. It is located on the top floor of the Sheraton in Fidi. However, if you look out, there is not much of a view. Service was ok. We came for Saturday brunch. The food was ok but a bit bland. There was not much to choose from, the four of us ended up getting steak and eggs. While the food lacks certain of their elite signature drinks are exceptional. This is why I added stars;) I had the Gemini experience. This is a cocktail tree of chardonnay, margarita, champagne, and a glass with lemon, lime, and orange wedges. It is served with a miracle berry tablet. You drink sips of your drinks at first to see how they originally taste. Then, you allow the miracle berry tablet to dissolve on your tongue. Once it does for 30 min to one hour, sour things taste sweet. It was like having 6 different drinks instead of 3. The lemon and lime wedges tasted like lemonade and limeade. It was a very cool experience. I saw another table order the lychee martini. This was cool since the drink is poured on top of cotton candy that melts. The rest of the table got bottomless drinks that they said were ok. My friends enjoyed their hookah. All in all, it is a good place, especially if you get some of their elite drinks. read more

I had some extra time on my hands before my event started. I had this venue on the list of places to try. When I arrived at the elevator, you had to press floor 29 to get to the venue. I am used to rooftop venues displaying rooftop to indicate the floor. When I arrived on the floor, I was asked for an ID and asked to take a photo. I haven't seen a venue ask for a picture in years, especially during afterwork hours, when you are checking my ID. I asked what they do with the pictures. I was informed it would be deleted at the end of the night. The venue appears bigger in pictures. I don't like the placement of the bar. When you sit at the bar, your back is to the door, and it's hard to see, especially if you are waiting for someone. I was sad that the rooftop was enclosed totally. It was a nice day, and I would've preferred to be outside. When I arrived at the bar, I appreciated the glass of water and menus without asking. It was happy hour and I ordered a Cabernet. I arrived around 5:15, there was a private party and about 10 other people in total, including me. When I paid in cash, I was given back my change and informed that they don't take change. The decor is cute. It seems like a place that is great for that IG moment. They do sell hookah. Overall, it was okay. As a New Yorker, I have been to better rooftops. I was going to give 2 stars. This venue is receiving 3 stars because I really liked the post in the bathroom related to safety. read more

I found this place on Groupon, and tbh, I'm glad i did. If i would've paid full price for this experience, it definitely wouldn't have been worth it. It's very Instagram-able lol. The aesthetic is cute. But, the seating absolutely sucked! They sat me and my friend on a sunken love seat with what seemed like a side table in front of us. It was open to the entire restaurant, and entirely too close to the other patrons. We were literally inside of their conversation with how close the tables and couches were. Reservations are required on weekends. Thankfully i made a reservation online. (They do not answer the phone or emails here). I emailed about a month ago to see if i can reserve a table and nothing. I had to book through their website using a third party that requires card information to reserve a table. I should've known the experience wouldn't be enjoyable by the fake grass all over the place. It's located inside the hotel on the 29th floor. The music was good. They were playing mainly hip hop and R&B. The food was good too. It was seasoned nicely, almost tasted like a Hispanic restaurant's steak. Very seasoned. The potatoes were good, but the eggs were just blah... the Highkey mimosa was just blood orange and champagne. It was good. But after 2 carafes, 4 "casamigos" shots, and 2 passion fruit shots for them misremembering our drinks... we still left with no buzz. They have a security guard as soon as you exit the elevator with an elastic rope thing to block entry for walk ins. The hostess wasn't at the station when i arrived. I had to get the attention of the security guard that's when the hostess left her hookah (with an attitude) to see if i had a reservation. (No hello or anything.. just, do you have a reservation?). It was so hot up there in the indoor/outdoor area. Parts of the structure were leaking due to an ac that wasn't doing anything. As you can see the pail and the wet floor sign in one of the pictures posted. The real disappointment came with the table. Having to take my plate to eat on my lap, because the table they sat us at wasn't suitable for eating, was more than off putting. We were also directly in front of the bathrooms. Gross! Will i come back, no. For the price of a Groupon, i can say it was worth it. But, the experience in itself would not be worth the price you would pay to come here. The brunch menu is also very limited. I've been to better. I was expecting so much more from a rooftop bottomless brunch. But, this one was very disappointing. They also give you a time limit for the tables for 90 mins. Our waitress came and said we have less than 10 mins to leave so the next party can have our seats. She said this without bringing the check lol. The waitress was nice and friendly. She could only do what she could. All in all. 2.5 stars. See pics below read more

Im a bit of a skeptic to wanting to rate this but last nights late nite adventure was too odd not to explain. A gal pal and i were really in the mood to just be out the house since today is a holiday (HAPPY Juneteenth Everyone!) We were greeted by a nice hostess, Harley, despite that it was about 11pm and they close around 1am. We were seated at these gorgeous yellow comfy individual seats. The ambiance there is GORGEOUS! It's definitely Instagram/photo worthy with amazing floral arrangements. The waitress was very nice as well. We order chicken tacos (2 tacos with every order), chicken wings(6 pieces) and hummus for the table. My friend ordered a drink that came in a coconut glass that was so cute and i had a glass of rose. The food was tasty and even tho the portions appeared to be on the smaller size it was very filling. It started to go a bit down hill and cause for a lower rating. It was really hard to get the wait staff's attention and it wasn't crowded at all. We ordered a hookah (watermelon mint and i think it had a hint of peach in it) and it seemed like our waitress and the hookah boys/bus boys were just sitting in front of us enjoying hookah. They were passing it around laughing and talking among each other in Spanish. Which i wouldn't have mind if we weren't sitting there with our waters empty for a while and i was very dehydrated. so i went to the bar and got our waters. Honestly i figured maybe they didn't realize, although it was pretty obvious that the larger group next to us was watching and waiting for their attention as well. (They were audibly yelling hey hi can we get someone here to service us) i didn't realize what was going on til after i left the bar with our waters. I realized hey, we ordered a hookah a while ago, is that ours?! One of the boys said they were "starting it up" I got the feeling this was the same reason why the larger crowd by up was a bit irritated. I asked if he can bring it to the table and he kind of ignored me. So i just said i can start it up myself. He replied "are you sure?" I had to laugh " very sure. I have my own hookah at home. Thank you" besides what other choice to i have, sitting there watching you enjoy our hookah? We're paying for lol HAH. OKAY i have never been to a spot where they start it up away from the table unless it's in the back of the house. They have always done in right in front of us at the table in my previous places I've ordered from, and it normally only takes a few mins. It's not rocket science. They didn't seem to like that i asked to finish "starting it up myself" bc right after they setup next to our table, he came right back up and said "we need the payment", and by that time it was almost close to midnight, i really didnt feel the care in the world to educate them on cough. Usually ppl pay at the end, we still had an hour before closing, i respectfully asked for my change back, " in singles if possible" ... They added 18% gratuity as well on a party of two. I'd love to say I'd give that spot a chance again maybe try it earlier in the day like 3-5pm. I read someplace they do have happy hour specials and seem to have shareable large drinks like a fishbowl. maybe a different staff could make all the difference. Maybe they were tired from working all day. But it was just an odd experience i was not very fond of. And i don't usually get weirded out easily. read more
