    High Thai Spring rolls

WOW! AMAZING Thai food! We dropped in because we wanted a change from American Food and we were NOT disappointed! The service was fantastic, the food was INCREDIBLE, the restaurant was very clean and the owner was SO nice with a great sense of humor. Overall, this restaurant is a MUST if you're in Brattleboro! If there was a ten star rating, Hight Thai would get an ELEVEN!

Ate here because of good Yelp! reviews. Terrific location right at town center. Nice atmosphere, warmly welcomed and menu explained. Good beer selection. Spouse had Winter Noodle Soup because she cannot tolerate spices. I got Green Curry Noodle special which is spicy. Had a Lagunitas draft beer, outstanding! Self-service ordering at bar and use of water station, great idea that I wish others used. The spring roll appetizer was outstanding! Great sauce, not the same generic duck sauce we usually get. Looks home made! Served with Bibb lettuce, thinly sliced carrot matchsticks, and bean sprouts for a veggie roll up. Really good, perhaps the best I've had anywhere! My Green Curry was simply outstanding. Creamy from coconut, with moderate spice that definitely packs a punch. Lots of veggies (mainly green beans and eggplant) with mung bean sprouts. So great! One of the, if not the, best Thai dishes I've ever had. I want this dish weekly for the rest of my life! Spouse's Winter Noodle Soup was flavorful despite the vegetarian stock. Slight spiciness. Great service. Owner explained that his co-owner's parents own Thai restaurants, but the food here is what they eat at home. Love it! Will definitely return!

Noisy. Pricey for what it is. Poor ambiance. Still feels like Dunkin' Donuts in there.

Steak was cooked nicely, but probably would prefer thinner cuts vs chunks. Chicken was good and extra cheesy. The fries were excellent Vibe: 4/5 - we sat in the room with the kitchen so it was smoky but not offensive. The other room had a better ambiance. Value: 4/5 - Fine. Filling meal, reasonably priced drinks Service: 3/5 - they tried hard. It was busy but we waited probably 45 min for our food and they forgot our appetizer. Everyone was nice though

Our group of seven was seated right away thanks to our reservation, but the wait for both drinks and food was on the longer side. Our server apologized multiple times, which we appreciated, and we passed the time playing phone games with the kids to keep them busy. The pierogies were a highlight, with a nicely crispy exterior and a creamy filling, and the shoestring fries came out salty and crunchy. My chicken cordon bleu sandwich, though, didn't really live up to the name, and the side salad was pretty plain with just a basic vinaigrette. My wife's grilled cheese with fried chicken strips also seemed a bit undercooked, and the chicken had a slightly rubbery texture. Overall it wasn't our best dining experience, but the atmosphere inside is very nice and the staff themselves are kind.

We did stop at The Marina to eat but stood at the host desk waiting for someone to greet us for 10 minutes and we just kept being ignored by servers walking thru so we decided to walk out of The Marina and keep going. (Note to self, make Mondays in Vermont for driving, or nature, & less to-do activities). At Bar 580 a really friendly bartender/server made for a very welcoming experience. Sorry I didn't catch his name. The menu had a lot of burgers and sandwiches and salads. We had a tasty Ruben sandwich, great fries and a bowl of 580 Mac n cheese (with bits of diced jalapeño pepper and creamy local Grafton cheddar cheese! This was great tasting casual dining. For fun we enjoyed playing billiards on the 2 smaller tables up front. The sun-streaming & huge outdoor space on the back patio looked inviting, facing the woods and a fire pit. (but I request better seating other than only the picnic tables please) Thanks again to the Monday afternoon bartender for the friendly Vermont hospitality! Oh and make sure to visit the shop across the way for fun souvenir items before heading home.

The space itself is small, so I'd definitely suggest calling ahead to see if they have room. There's basically no indoor waiting area, and standing by the door or outside in the winter, like we did, got uncomfortable enough that we almost left for another place, even though the wait was only about 20 minutes. Our server was friendly and tried to stay on top of things, but you could tell she was a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was and the constant flow of people coming through the door. In our group, a couple of the burgers came out very undercooked, with blood pooling on the plate. No one had been asked how they wanted their burger cooked and it wasn't mentioned when we ordered, so it was an unpleasant surprise even if it wasn't exactly anyone's "fault." I ordered the spicy Korean fried chicken sandwich, which ended up being just okay. The bottom of the bun was soggy, so it fell apart and was hard to pick up and eat. The kimchi on the sandwich didn't bring much flavor or heat, so it kind of missed the mark for something that's supposed to be a bold, spicy option.
