So I did. So glad I did! She again, took the time to call each of the stores that had the last pairs (2 pairs) to make sure they were available. Imputed me in the system. Gave me "free" shipping. And was so professional, kind, and curious, I was very impressed. This was on one of the busiest days (Mother's Day) and store was full of customers. Marcos was incredibly patient and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. He noticed my mother-in-law was wearing a 7.5 wide and although it was a good fit, suggested an 8 wide instead to better accommodate her feet. And it was! She felt more balance and less tension and it showed on the treadmill when she was able to increase her MPH. He didn't just stop at the size, though; he performed a full walking analysis and constantly monitored her stride to ensure the fit was perfect. Even though the store was incredibly busy, Marcos never rushed us. He must have gone back and forth to the stockroom at least a dozen times to pull different options, knowing full well we were only there to buy one pair. He personally swapped her insoles into every single shoe she tried on--and we probably went through about 8 different pairs in various sizes. His expertise really shines when he talks about the technical side of things, like toe-gap and overall comfortability. On top of the technical fit, he has a great eye for aesthetics; he picked out colors that perfectly matched my mother-in-law's personal style. It's rare to find this kind of dedicated service. She lost a guaranteed sale from me after that incident and likely caused Foot Locker to lose a valued customer, which gives the store a negative reputation due to her discriminatory behavior. She told me, in a harsh tone, that if I ever brought an item without a tag again, the return would not be accepted. When I mentioned that items should be sent with tags attached, she said she was not responsible and was only enforcing store policy. The situation escalated when she abruptly stopped the return, threw the items she had already processed back toward me, and loudly said, "I will not help you--go to someone else," while making dismissive gestures. I was very shaken and confused by the way I was treated, as I have never attempted to return worn items or abuse the return policy in any way. --She did not greet me when I approached, unlike the other cashiers, and appeared visibly upset. I left the store feeling shaken and had to take a moment before driving away. I asked for her name so I could follow up with a manager, but I was unable to get it.
