Hideout Coffee could improve on the duration it takes to wait for a latte. The vibe and ambiance is high end, but they can't handle the demand. I also don't think it's fair to the one person working. There's a lot of specialty drinks they have to offer. I ordered a vanilla latte with vanilla cold foam, it tasted exactly how I expected. Very close to Alfred's.

Very novel way of serving coffee. The staff is friendly and ambiance around downtown Monrovia is upbeat. Their hours could be improved as I have been coming to Monrovia a lot but hardly ever noticed this little business due to their hours. It is fairly new but seems true to its name. Give it a try, support a local business.

I ordered the pistachio coffee today for the first time and the coffee was really good. I don't taste the pistachio other than the chunks as the topping. But the coffee itself is strong and yummy compared to other coffee shops that taste watered down. It's a hole in the wall with a door that opens. So no outside or inside area to sit in. You just order outside and pick up your coffee and go to wherever you need to go. I can't wait to try the other drinks available!

Drink was not up to standard color of drink was extremely dark compared to photo, pistachio latte missing foam as showed on the online photo.

Not filled up for the 2nd day in a row. Pics are from just today though

Drinks are great and the staff is great. A cool little concept. Yesterday and today I got my 16oz and both weren't fllled to the top. Two days in a row :(

It's back! Great service. I got a 16 oz pistachio latte with salted vanilla cream top. $8.50. Pricey but delicious and smooth. Not too sweet.

Staff was amazing! I'm excited they reopened, since working in the area i've been looking for a good matcha spot for my daily craving. It was so yummy, the strawberry milk tasted like real strawberries (without any artificial flavors). The matcha wasn't too sweet with an umami and a rich creamy taste. It was the perfect balance ! Definitely will be coming back to try more flavors and combinations!

It was located inside the acai place. Just gonna go straight to the point... My lavender latte was ok. It wasn't bad for the price. The lavender flavor was there. The matcha lavender was a different story. The lavender flavor in the matcha was nonexistent. Also, for the price the size was really small. Adding cream top was an extra $1.50 so it was super expensive, imo. However, the bigger problem was the drink itself. It wasn't good. The matcha was lacking and like I mentioned...the lavender was nonexistent. Most likely will not return. Street parking avail Service was ok

Hideout Coffee (est 2025/04) is a tiny new to-go-cafe shop located on Lime ave in Monrovia. It's a fast growing cafe serving coffee, matcha, chai, and more! As the name denotes, this coffee shop is inside an old brick wall building with a small window on the side street facing east of Monrovia Public Library. It has no outdoor or indoor seats because it wasn't design to be a sit in coffee shop. Nevertheless, they offer a modest variety of coffee and tea which can be hot or cold. I visited this coffee shop today-Memorial Day- and had a great experience. It is beautiful. I ordered a 12oz Rose Latte which was a traditional latte with the addition of subtle sweet, floral notes. Its rose flavor was not strong or over powering. If you enjoy a traditional latte, this one is worth trying. Staff was cordial and professional. Service was spot on. Prices were fair and competitive. Finding parking was easy. Collectively, this was a good to-go- coffee shop find. Overall, I enjoyed my latte and their service. I recommend and hope you support this tiny coffee shop.

Small little cafe in downtown Monrovia! I think it used to be located on the side of the building but it moved inside the açaí place. The menu is small but I really liked the matcha latte! It already comes sweetened with agave so it's perfect if you like your latte on the sweeter side. There was a little bit of a wait since there's just one staff working but they're super friendly! Lots of street parking and located around a lot of cute stores for you check out after you get your coffee/matcha!

This is a hidden coffee shop in Monrovia. I see that many complain about the wait time but there is usually only one person in there and personally I don't mind the wait. It takes time to make a good latte. I am definitely going again.

Pistachio latte- really good! They include little bits of pistachio inside the coffee. It has really strong pistachio taste so if you're not that big of a fan you might not like it. Sometimes it looks like there's only one person working. They'll be taking orders and making the coffee so the line will be really long. I've had to walk away from the wait times before. The 12oz coffee is also the standard and really small. You're better off getting a 16oz with the amount of ice they put on the iced drinks. The coffee is pricey but I can confidently say they're making really great coffee. Given the size to price ratio of the drinks and really long wait times, it's still 4 stars for me. It's worth a try every once in a while.

Old Town will have a new coffee spot opening Dec 1st next to Acai Bar!

Cute new coffee spot in great location in Old Town! Really nice iced pistachio latte, friendly service every time I've been, and decent prices. It's a sorta-hidden little walk up window with no indoor access or outdoor seating so come prepared - but it's right across from Library Park which has plenty of benches and seating opportunities - or just enjoy a walk around Old Town with your coffee! I've stopped by a few times and the staff have always been very welcoming and friendly. We've tried the iced pistachio latte as I mentioned, as well as the blueberry latte and lavender latte (both hot). The pistachio latte has been my fave - iced is a great version and it even has little pieces of pistachio nuts in it, which I loved. The blueberry latte was also really nice - creamy with a mild blueberry flavor - and both of these weren't too sweet which I appreciated. And while I enjoyed the blueberry, I think it would've been much better iced. The lavender latte was my least fave - their espresso has a lovely flavor depth in all the lattes - but the lavender was very bitter and I just couldn't drink much of it. I definitely wouldn't get this again. They offer pastries now too - sometimes muffins and sometimes other varieties. They're right behind Açaí Bar and easy to find. Their prices are pretty decent for the area and I look forward to trying the strawberry latte next time!

If you're a big eater and want the additional potatoes and pancakes, I recommend paying a few dollars more and ordering the Breakfast platter. The Vanilla Latte came in a paper cup (a bit bummed out by not being able to take a more IG worthy picture of that), but it actually tasted really good! Same with the sausage links - it was probably one of the best tasting ones I've had for breakfast in a while. Aside from their wide selection of pastries and food options, their customer service was phenomenal. Every customer that walked through the door was greeted upon arrival and thanked on their way out. It's fun here cuz you can get a little shopping cart and collect your breads. Kinda went crazy and got a bunch to try. The breads looked like they would be dry but weren't and were all really soft, pillowy, and fluffy. The Black Forest bread was topped with toasted almonds, had jiggly thick sweet custard, and a layer of semi sweet chocolate. The hades bread was the only kinda dry bread and was filled with bittersweet chocolate and had a thin sweet Oreo crust on the bottom like a cheesecake would. The pork floss bread had a swirl of sweet savory pork floss and was topped with nutty crunchy sesame seeds. The banana cream bread was filled with like this cheesecake tasting light cream and had some real bananas inside too. The garlic bread was really good, soft, and had a streak of yummy, savory, garlicy, cheesy goodness. They even had a cilantro pork floss cake?! Wasn't getting any cilantro flaves but the cake was nicely spongy, light, vanillay, and had a swirl of pork floss that actually worked with it. Their black sesame cake was also very spongy, jiggly, light, and airy with good black sesame flaves. They even let you try some free samples of bread which my grandma really enjoyed.
