It smells so nice here! I need whatever they're using. Strongest, most fragrant jasmine tea i've had. I thought that it would come with milk since I ordered the jasmine tea with matcha cloud foam which was listed under latte, but I think it didn't have any milk? Will try just ordering a milk tea next time but i'm still very happy with my drink. Does take a while for the drink to get made though . I think I waited 30 minutes and there was only one group of like 4 people ahead of me.
First time trying HeyTea and it was delicious! The wait was around 15-20 mins and there were a lot of people, which was expected since it's the weekend. I got jasmine matcha and it was delicious. Honestly worth the hype and will definitely come back and try other things! Their mango drinks were sold out which was a bummer. Service was great and they made the drinks as quickly as they could.
I had high expectations coming in since many of my friends recommended this place. Sadly, I was disappointed in how the Supreme Matcha Latte tasted. I personally just don't like when my sweet drinks have cheese/salt flakes added to it since I don't think it compliments well. I avoided their Cloud Matcha Latte when I learned that the "cloud" foam was made of cheese. Thus, I was very surprised when I realized the Supreme Matcha Latte also had a cheese/salty flavor. In general, it was not sweet enough and I also did not expect the drink to have some sort of gelatin chunks in it...Definitely was not a big fan of the drink (5.5/10). The drink took about 15 minutes to be ready because they were so swamped with online orders. They have a fan inside that never turns off, hence, it was so cold for me while waiting for the drink. Parking is convenient and free as there is a parking lot. Not too many tables and chairs set up inside as it's very small. Overall, I don't think I'll be ordering matchas from here, but I would be open to trying their other drinks.
I ordered off the app cause this location can get busy. And considering the busy parking situation, it can be difficult picking up your drink. The picking up line was long while no one was ordering. The line moved decently but the staff were definitely busy and doing their best. You're also not likely going to be hangout around inside since it mostly packed with folks waiting for drinks. This location is more for a pick up amd go type. I was actually going to save my drink for the next day but wanted a sip to try it fresh. I ended up finishing it in one sitting. I got the supreme matcha latte. It was good, not too sweet, and quite creamy. I definitely would get it again even with the hassle of obtaining it. I tried another's drink that had boba. And it was pretty good. I usually don't prefer bobas cause they can be too tough and chewy. But these were soft and thus unintrusive for your drinking experience.
HEYTEA is solid and pretty unique when it comes to their milk teas and tea slushies. As long as you've decided to get a premium tea at a premium price, then you can't really go wrong with HEYTEA. You can actually taste the floral notes from the tea and they use fresh fruit, so there's a lot of positives. The downside is that a drink is quickly approaching $10. But if you're here already, then you'd accepted it.
More like 4.5 stars honestly, but I rounded up lol! Date of visits: 1/19/2025 and 1/20/2025 (MLK Holiday) 2 days in a row, guys! This is how you can tell how much I love a place and how it leaves me wanting for more! First time I experienced HeyTea was in Singapore back in 2023. I thought it was just ok at that time. They were more tea and not so much matcha and fruit drinks iirc. Yesterday, I had Mango Grapefruit Boom and today I had Matcha Bobo Shake . I actually wanted to order Matcha Coconut today, which is one of the collab between Vita Coco and Hey Tea, but it was marked sold out. Between the 2 that I tried, I like Mango Grapefruit Boom better. I like how the mango and the grapefruit provide quite a contrast of flavor in the drink and the coconut flavor from the coconut milk and the coconut pudding actually bridges the 2. Meanwhile, the matcha drink was just ok for me. I wanted a stronger taste of matcha and unfortunately I didn't taste it in my drink. I also think the drink is rather milky. Somewhat more milky than I usually prefer. Not sure if I could order it with skim milk next time, if what I had today was whole. My son who ordered Matcha Zen Latte on the first visit commented the same about the lightness taste of the matcha in his drink. Come on HeyTea, step it up! All in all, both visits were positive and I can't wait to come back and try other things on the menu!
Heytea recently opened up in Rowland Heights. They are so super popular in New York so my friends and I wanted to try it. Some of their drinks are insanely overpriced ranging from $7 to even $10 for their specialized slushy drinks. We all ordered the mango coconut boom. It came with mango, coconut jelly, and sago inside. The drink was super refreshing and didn't taste artificial at all. I wanted to try their matches too but they were more on the pricey side. The inside isn't too big and their seats are pretty short.
Boba- 8/10The boba was good, but not the best I've ever had. Personally, I would have liked to see more boba in the drink, but that's just my preference. Drink- 8/10 Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea- I asked for 100% sweetness, but this drink was definitely not sweet enough for my taste. I even had to go back to ask for extra sweetener. I've had brown sugar drinks at other places, and they've always been much sweeter. Service- 9/10 The customer service was great, even though the staff was busy. I had a few questions for the cashier, but she spoke quite softly, and I had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Overall, I appreciated the service, but a little more volume would help! Cost- 2/10 $7.99 in total with boba. Oh hell no this drink is way too overpriced!!
New boba shop alert?!?! Finally tried HeyTea (I've been wanting to try their Irvine location but one opened in this area so yayyy) after waiting so long after they popped off on social media. I ordered the coconut mango bloom and LOVEEE how they use real ingredients - the mango OMG. I love coconut and mangos and this combination was litcherally the best thing ever. I ordered my drink at 40% less sweet & imo it was perfectly sweetened :-) I need to come back and try their other drinks -- when I was inside I got a whiff of a strong tea fragrance and I LOVED it ! I will try their teas next time I come. I would reccomend ordering through the app because the wait is a bit long. I waited 15-20ish minutes for my drink. The ambiance of the shop is aesthetically pleasing + super clean.
Good: +The boba was the perfect chewiness as very yummy! +The ordering kiosk worked well and the order came quickly Bad: -It doesn't seem like they have a selector option on their menu for milk alternates so dairy free folks beware! Some of the drinks have a whole different menu item for the dairy free variant but it seemed inconsistent. +The shop was pretty crowded despite the large amount of seating
Not sure if I'd wait 30+ minutes for this again... I highly recommend ordering via the app instead of in-person. I've been to several HEYTEA locations now, and this is definitely one of the busiest shops I've seen! ON A WEDNESDAY @1PM, There were 65 DRINKS ahead of me in queue when I ordered. Despite the insane price tags on these drinks......... The fresh fruit and ingredients truly draw me to this chain everytime. I'd recommend the Fluffy Cloud Crisp Grape (crasy expensive though...) or the Mulberry Boom. If you like Milk Tea, the Cloud Milk Tea with Sago is great (but expensive for what it is). Their VitaCoco collab was TOP TIER too :)))
This place popped off on social media lately so I stopped by one Monday evening when I was in the area. Heard about lines wrapping around the corner so I was glad I went on a weekday evening around 7pm as there were only about 5 people there at the time with plenty of seating both indoors and out. Great aesthetics; everything is white. A few people working the store and everyone seemed pretty friendly and helpful. There's also a kiosk on the side but it wasn't working at the time I went. Perhaps it's for when the store is more busy. I ordered the cloud matcha and my friend got the mango grapefruit boom or similar. Despite seeming like there weren't really customers there, it still took about 15 minutes for our drinks to be ready. I assume there's quite a bit of online orders for pickup. We both enjoyed our drinks and would come back again. Taste was great, napkins looked cute, and even the sticker they use for the side of the drink was good quality. I thought the price was a little high for the more average drinks like a regular matcha (my matcha drink was $7.99) but a bit more reasonable for the fancier drinks like the mango grapefruit or the coconut mango. Hearing great things about the other fruity drinks from Yelp so I'd be willing to stop by again and try something else. Don't forget to use the app for a percentage off your drink.

Was worried it wouldn't nail the grape flavor, but it exceeded it, has a green grape juice, fresh flavor with chunks of grapes and topped with cheese foam. A MUST try (9.8/10) + Mulberry Strawberry Boom ($6.99; 0-cal sweetener, less ice, less sugar): the mulberry flavor is the strongest, subtle strawberry and lemon. Pieces of mulberry very similar flavor to blackberry but less sweet. 0-cal sweetener has that slight aftertaste (6/10)
There's so much hype around HEYTEA, but now I can see why! I've been wanting to try this popular tea spot, but there's usually a pretty long line. Luckily, the line at this location wasn't too bad. They have an online order system, so even though there was no one in line at the ordering kiosk, lots of orders are coming in. I really enjoyed their Mulberry Boom which has a strong mulberry flavor and even pieces of mulberry fruit inside! Just be careful not to spill, since the color of the mulberry is pretty concentrated and will most likely stain your clothes! The Cloud Coconut Blue is a really pretty layered drink! They use blue spirulina for that vibrant blue color. There's also matcha blended with their original cheese cloud, along with coconut water, coconut milk, and coconut milk jelly. Definitely for coconut lovers! Mango Grapefruit Boom is one of their recommended. It's refreshing, slightly milky, and has a bit of bitterness from the grapefruit. I haven't had a drink like this before, so if was definitely unique! The Grape Boom is a pretty purple color, and you can really taste the grape flavor! Very refreshing. Parking in the lot out front or in the underground parking structure. You can to take the stairs or elevator to get to the second floor where the shop is located. A few seats inside and some tables and chairs outside on their patio as well. read more
Cloud Coconut Blue (4/10): For how expensive this drink was, it was pretty disappointing. I did not like the coconut flavor of the drink. The matcha cream added 4 points to the score because it was pretty good, but that was the only good thing about the drink. After mixing the matcha foam in, there was no matcha flavor in the drink. The boba is okay, nothing special to mention though. Cloud Matcha Latter (6/10): There was a nice matcha flavor, but not strong enough. The matcha flavor was not very unique or did not taste very high quality. The original cheese cloud on top was light and tangy, which tasted decent. Coconut Mango Boom (4/10): The drink tasted super watered down with barely any coconut flavor present. The mango was decent, but once the drink was mixed, the mango flavor diminished. I wish the mango flavor was a little stronger. Overall Thoughts: These drinks are definitely not worth how much I paid for it. I wish I got the supreme matcha latte instead of the cloud coconut blue. The drinks were pretty disappointing, and there are many other boba shops with better drinks at fairer price points. There might be a small line to order. The wait time took pretty long. The boba shop itself is very white, lit up, and simple. There are very few seats in the shop, but there are more tables and chairs outside. I expected a lot more from these drinks because they looked so pretty, yummy, and expensive, but it unfortunately did not taste as good as it looks. read more
HeyTea is definitely worth the trip. From the first sip I could taste the quality of their drinks and that real fruit were used. I recommend the guava grape. Perfect and refreshing for the summer. There's a self order kiosk on the left of the store and of course you can order at the front with staff. Drinks did take a bit of waiting but that's how you know it'll be good. There are seats indoors and outdoors and I noticed it was packed. Most are catching up with friends and family so it can be loud and not ideal for studying. read more

Another new location closer or somewhat closer from home in Rowland Heights. I like it here more than the Beverly Hills location because of parking AND fewer people. You dont have to wait more than 30 minutes for a drink. It may be different on weekends, but during weekdays, there was no wait at all. My drink was ready in less than 3 minutes. I think you can also order ahead using their app if that is an option or you are on the go. Not sure if this store takes orders in person, but I saw one ordering kiosk on the left side of entering, and it was a simple and quick process! There was limited seating inside but plenty of outside seating available. Note: HeyTea is located on the second floor. I ordered Cheese Strawberry Boom, and it was just as good as the ones I have tried from other locations like Beverly Hills and New York. Plenty of parking available and located in the heart of Rowland Heights on Fullerton and Colima. read more
HeyTea just released 4 new matcha drinks in their new Matcha Zen Series and it's by far one of my fav places to get matcha at a boba store. They use high-quality matcha so it's vibrant in color and rich in flavor, plus the matcha cheese foam is to die for. I tried the Matcha Zen, which has a matcha latte base topped with matcha cheese foam, and the Matcha Bobo Shake, which is more icy than milky so it wasn't my favorite. read more
4 1/2 stars. Another boba shop has popped up in the City of Rowland Heights. Amazing since there are at least five established tea shops within a mile of this area. I had heard positive feedback from a relative in Irvine so I was excited to check out this new HeyTea location. Located in a corner strip center so the parking can be challenging since its limited-on spaces. Once entering the establishment my senses picked up the fresh scent of teas and the simple layout is set up for efficient customer service with additional tables in front. I ordered the mango grapefruit boom. HeyTea states that milk is organic no artificial creamers or instant powder. My drink was impressive with fresh mango and tasted delicious. The drink was yummy even though I requested less sugar and a generous size. My only con here was that the gal that assisted me was not fluent in English and a bit difficult to understand. I'll surely be returning here in the future! read more

LOVE boba shops that use fresh ingredients and no artificial flavors or sweetener's !! Would I come back? OH YEA. Mango Coconut Bloom: - Mango coconut smoothie w/Sago - THE FRESH MANGO OMGG ! - Sago was cooked perfectly The interior is so clean a d very aesthetically pleasing. I came to HEYTEA with my friend after we had dinner nearby. We waited about 10 minutes in line and the drinks came out really quick. There is limited seating inside the store, but they have a few tables outside to hang out with friends. -- Mango Grapefruit Boom [5/5]: I enjoyed this drink a lot. I liked the jelly that was similar to agar on the bottom. The drink is not too sweet and I love the fragrant jasmine tea flavor even though there are a lot of toppings and fruits inside. It reminded me of Hui Lau Shan's pomelo and mango with sago dessert! -- Cheese Crisp Grape Boom [3/5]: This is one of their popular drinks, but I did not really enjoy it. I probably would not order this again. I will definitely come back for their Coconut Mango Boom and Mango Grapefruit Boom and also try their seasonal drinks! read more

THE MATCHA HERE IS SO GOODD! PLEASE GET! But in all honesty, the drinks from HeyTea tastes pretty good all around as I've tried their Mango and Grape before too. While the place is meant as a quick and easy ordering system, it's nice that they have outdoor seating. You can order from the kiosk or order with a person. The workers are so sweet and patient in answering any questions you might have regarding a drink. read more

Fresh ingredients and good boba but a bit expensive. I had the grape boom with less sweet, but I thought it was still too sweet for my liking. I also tried the Coconut Mango boom, which tasted more like a dessert to me. Overall, it was nice to try different boba but the pricing may deter folks from coming back. read more

I had a drink here for the first time a few weeks ago. I don't drink teas with foam cheese inside of it as much. However, I thought that the taste for the drink I had was not bad. My order was the dark cheese tea, and it tasted just fine. The service was good, but it was so busy. In addition, less ice inside the tea would be much better. The place is new, so it's definitely a clean place to drink your tea! read more
The boba here is really good especially the green grape guava slush, definitely one of the best slush I've had in a while. The service is a bit iffy since the times I've been there the cashiers have been a little rude and the drinks take forever to make. The ambiance is nice it's just a little too crowded but overall the drinks are good and that's mainly what I look for. read more
I dont think it was worth $15 for 2 drinks. Yes, the creamy cheese topping is good but I felt they over-steep the tea (at least for the green tea). The creamy cheese grape drink tasted like artificial grape juice with cream cheese. I was not a fan. We also waited 25 mins for our drinks. I'm willing to give them a try again but maybe at a different location. read more

This spot is modern, clean, and definitely gives off that premium tea shop vibe. Think kiosk ordering, minimalist interiors, and a super solid drink menu that doesn't feel like copy-paste boba. I tried the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea--creamy, bold, and not overly sweet. The boba was warm, soft, and perfectly chewy. The Green Grape Boom was super refreshing, with real grape chunks and just the right level of tartness. Ordering on the app ahead of time makes things way easier, especially if you don't want to stand around for 20+ minutes. It's new and cute decore but they take a super long time to get drinks made and it seems they're still working out a lot of kinks and getting efficient. So far, I haven't felt a great desire for the drinks. Tried the YumBerry and did not feel it was that great. I think maybe I didnt choose a good one. I'm not running back anytime soon to try a different item. So much hope! Giving myself some time before revisiting. My friend loves it a lot. I may need to evaluate again. We'll see. read more
Heytea has been popping up everywhere and I was surprised to see this place in my area. I had to try to see what the hype is about and I am glad I did. As a mango lover, their mango coconut boom is definitely became my favorite mango coconut sago drink. It also includes clear (coconut?) jelly inside which gives a good texture. The drink was loaded and I can tell that they used fresh ingredient. The grape boom was also very refreshing and yummy. There were pieces of smashed grapes inside the tea which were very sweet. It is on the pricier side, but it is worth for the quality imo. There were a lot of orders ahead of us when we went on the weekend, so it took us about 20-30 mins of wait to get our drinks. But they have a heytea app where you can submit the order online ahead of time if you want to reduce the wait time. read more
I've always wanted to try Hey Tea since they opened, but it's always busy. I finally went in, and even though it was packed, I'm glad I did. I didn't take many pictures, but that's okay. This is more of a grab-and-go spot, with only two tables outside and small cup-sized tables inside. I wouldn't feel comfortable staying inside, as I'd prefer to enjoy my drink in a calmer atmosphere. Despite the crowd and high volume of orders, the workers were incredible, making drinks quickly and efficiently. They have an order screen that updates when your drink is ready, which is really convenient. The front area was clean, and the self-order system made the process smooth. I ordered two drinks: the Cloud Yumberry and the Strawberry Boom. The Cloud Yumberry was my favorite--I had never tried a drink like this before, and it had a unique taste that I really enjoyed. The Strawberry Boom was just as good, but there was something special about the Cloud Yumberry that stood out to me. Both were refreshing and delicious! A very different approach and take on traditional tea/milk tea! HeyTea has been popping up all over SoCal in the last like 2 months. They just opened one in Irvine and another is coming in SGV. I was surprised to see a HeyTea open in Rowland Heights. They didn't announce the grand opening anywhere, not even on social media so I was surprised. Also a bit disappointed because had I known, I would've tried to come in the first 3 days when they were offering BOGO free drinks. I came here after for their other grand opening specials where it was BOGO 50% off the next 4-7 days. The drinks are priced relatively high but i think that's because they use real fruits in their drinks. Not to mention because most of their drink options are blended, there is a longer wait time to consider because they have to blend everyone's drinks. I ordered the coconut mango boom - it was delicious! it tasted like the asian mango dessert at like meetfresh or something similar but in a drink version. I would get this again! It also tastes very similar to Yifang's mango sago drink too. My finacé ordered the grape boom and it was very refreshing. He thought it was too sweet despite changing the sweetness to less sugar. I personally am not a fan to any grape drinks so I thought it was ok. I'd like to come back and try to milk teas. I also heard the brown sugar boba milk tea was good. read more

Had HeyTea in NYC and I loved it over there, so I'm very happy and excited that they opened a SoCal location! Food: 10/10! Love their Mango drink. Sago and Crystal Jelly is included and it is so good! Service: 10/10 Very nice, but took a while to get drinks out. Can't blame them though because they just opened and it was very busy. Ambiance: 10/10, Very nice and clean inside, but it is a bit small! Love HeyTea, so am excited to come back! read more

I have high expectations from review said they use fresh fruit. Which is true, I'm usually order 75% or 80% sweetness elsewhere. I order mine here full sweetness. Waited about 20 minutes line to cashier, at the end about to order, the cashier said cash payment only, because credit card machine not working. Don't they suppose to make sign for notification so people don't waisted time in the line? Waited about another 15 mins to get my drink. I order mulberry boom. When I taste it, it's really bland with regular sweetness. It feels like no sugar, just pure berry. I wonder, what if I order less sweetness? Regular cup kinda small, so I opted out $1 extra for bigger one. Their bigger size just like regular size else where. I also got mango boom, it taste better than mulberry one. Perhaps the employee forgot to put sugar on my drink? Idk?! read more
