I've fully converted to being a heytea stan. Ever since they opened in Irvine and Rowland Heights, I swear I've been going at least once a week. I do wish the drinks were a bit more affordable, but honestly, the quality is consistently high and totally worth it. My go-to orders are the Coconut Cloud Blue and the Coconut Mango Boom. Both are incredible. The Coconut Cloud Blue literally tastes like if Melomelo became a drink. Basically coconut milk ON CRACK. The Coconut Mango Boom is super refreshing, especially in the summer when mangoes are in season. And if you're into floral flavors, the Matcha Cloud Jasmine Latte is also a fave, very jasmine-forward and super aromatic. I'm hoping to try their matcha supreme soon. I've rarely had a bad experience at Heytea. One time I did get a plastic wrapper in my drink (yikes), but their customer service was great and refunded me right away. My only real complaint is that the Rowland Heights location doesn't allow online ordering, which means you can't collect points, kinda annoying. But other than that, I highly recommend Heytea as your next tea stop. :)) read more

The milk tea itself was very creamy and a good sweetness for me, and the boba itself had a good chewy texture and a light sweetness. On a whim decided to try a different boba place with my 15 yr old and my 12 yr old. The ambience was my jam.. organic/no artificial ingredients, clean white asthetic. It was pretty crowded inside. I did not have to interact with anyone because I ordered from the kiosk. My favorite part is.., the only place that had a lite menu and calorie count on all of the drinks. That may not seem very exciting but this is pretty rare and since I am watching what I eat this is super helpful. We ordered and I checked out an it was about 27.00 dollars for 3 drinks.. omg this better be good. Restroom was out of service for construction so I could not rate the cleanliness. Upon observation, the workers are friendly to the customers and are working really hard behind the counters without talking. Me: passion fruit tea with lychee off of the light menu (5.99). I ordered it with real-0 calorie sweetener. I would order this again. I loved the real fruit pieces, the taste, and light options. 12 year old: mango slushee (9.99). Had cheese cloud on top. He rated it an 8/10 for the delicious mango slushee with real mango on the bottom but he said the foam was salty. I tried it and it was delicious because it was cheese foam, the quality was amazing but my kids do not appreciate cheese anything. 15 year old: (10.98). Fluffy cloud strawberry. My daughter is the picky boba drinker and said it was a 6.5/10. She loved the fluffy texture and said the quality was there but didn't like the cheese foam as well and it was not an option to take off on the menu. She loved the jelly on the bottom. Summary: I would go here again, but by myself so I don't have to pay for my kids expensive drinks.. ha ha. Since this store was recently opened, there were a lot of people on arrival. The vibe was very vibrant and the store itself looked classy and modern. Line was not too long and the service was fast, but I wish they had more physical menus to look at. The only menu available was right in front of the cashier, and the QR code they had directed us to download the mobile app, which I feel is an unnecessary extra step, especially for those who just want to look at a menu. I ended up getting the strawberry peach boom with less sweet and half ice. It was overall a decent and refreshing drink. My only big issues with it was that neither the fruit nor tea flavor was that strong and that it only came in a slushy form (employee said all the boom drinks were only in slushy form). If you love fruit teas, you have got to try HeyTea! One of my favorite boba shops from China, HeyTea has made its way to Cali and it's as good as I remembered. My favorite drink from them is the Crisp Grape Boom, it's blended grapes with green tea, peeled grape pulp, and optional agar jelly and cheese foam. What makes them unique compared to other fruit shops is their attention to detail. Grape tea is one of my favorite new trendy drinks, and I've tried almost all the local places that offers a variation. However a lot of the times the grape skin gets stuck in your teeth and makes it difficult to drink even if the flavor is great. HeyTea does not have that problem at all, their grape tea is smooth and the addition of peeled grape pulp makes me feel extra spoiled! I also love their mango coconut pomelo drink. The menu is slightly smaller than the one from China but they're adding new items here and there so I'm excited to see how they grow! Service is fairly quick, you can also order on their app for pick up. The parking is kind of tight but there's a small underground lot as well. Can't fault them for that. Also all the HeyTea stores smell amazing, like fragrant jasmine. read more

My friend and I were in Rowland Heights and wanted to try this new spot called Hey Tea. We both ordered the grape tea with sea salt cream didn't know what to expect since I didn't adjust the sweetness, but it came out amazing! It tasted like Japanese grape candy sweet, refreshing, and just perfect. I'm already planning to come back and try the mango flavor next. There are plenty of seats outside to chill and hang out, which is nice, but the music was honestly a bit too loud for my taste. The waiter recommended that grape drink as the choice since there wasn't many left and we just followed her recommendation. She was quite helpful!
