Okay, let me preface this review with my original thoughts of chiropractic therapy. I was terrified of the thought of a person bending me in different positions just to get me "realigned". I had gone through all conventional methods to try and relieve my shoulder and neck pain but nobody had any answers. As stated, I was not a fan of chiropractic work and did not want to go, but after a few days of thinking about it I figured if there was any way my pain and headaches would go away I would at least give it a try. I walked into Dr. Amy Hess's office and it felt like I was walking into a meditation office, very peaceful and relaxed. Dr. Hess explained how the treatment procedure would work and how it would take a few sessions to feel the results. I went through about a month of treatment and the neck and shoulder pain along with the headaches have dissipated dramatically. I sit up straighter than I ever have in my life and do my best to keep better posture. I am a young guy so rejuvenated was never a word I felt I would use anytime soon, but rejuvenated is the only word to describe how I have felt since the treatments. I was referred to Dr. Amy from acupuncture for chronic occipital headaches and neck and shoulder pain. Like many people, I spend my days sitting at a desk in front of a computer for long stretches of time. As a result, I've developed the bowling ball syndrome - that is, I feel that my head is a bowling ball that I'm trying to carry with my neck. This in turn causes headaches and stress and tension in my neck and shoulder. Massages helped in the short term and I've had success with acupuncture but felt that I needed a long-term solution to correct my bad posture. To say that I've been pleased with the results would be an understatement of the positive effects I've experienced. I felt relief in my occiput and neck immediately and I continue to gain range of motion in my shoulder that I had previously accepted as limiting. I was referred to Health Quest Family Chiropractic by a friend who goes there for her terrible migraines. She had tried so many things for her pain for years and finally got relief here so I figured that was reason for me to go! I have chronic neck pain from sitting at my computer all the time and have started getting headaches that really bother me so I made an appointment to go see the chiropractor here. She is a woman, which I liked and she is really nice. I was also impressed with the first visit and learned a lot, especially about my posture and how it relates to my neck pain. I've had 3 adjustments so far and I am already feeling a big improvement! They take insurance too which is a big plus! I recommend trying this place out if you're looking for a good chiropractor, I feel totally comfortable and its not scary at all like some other places. read more

It took only a short amount of time for Dr.Amy to figure out what was going wrong and she was eager to start adjusting me and begin the correction process. I went to Health Quest Chiropractic from an ad I saw here on Yelp. I have been going to another chiropractor for a number of years and he just wasn't that interested in me or my business, so I decided to take a look at another one. The chiropractor here was great! She was able to get my records from my other chiropractor, and was able to see me when I needed to be seen. She pointed out some things that my other chiropractor missed altogether, such as the wear patterns on the soles of my shoes and analyzed how I walked. Something that was really fascinating for me was some of their technology. They have a cool back screening thing that shows you where your body is inflamed by measuring heat! Dr. Amy Hess is the best! Highly recommended! I've been experiencing bad headaches and some general health issues for a long time and finally decided to do something about it. Life is too short and I've been wasting it away, waiting for the problems to somehow disappear. Dr. Hess was able to diagnose me, and adequately fix these problems. Thanks to Dr. Hess I am back into my daily routine. I exercise 5x/week, play with my son, clean house, etc. All of this came to a halt after I starting experiencing chronic hip pain and numbness on the left side of my body. One month ago I was in such pain I couldn't work. I had horrible neck pains shooting through my shoulder and down my left arm. A referral from a co-worker brought me to Dr. Amy at Hess Chiropractic.
